  2. It wasn't that bad, actual sorcery plays a large role of her itentity. It seems that a lot of high-damage combos are ended with EA, even though I thought it's supposed to be a rather bad ender. Does it still do good damage even with all the proration?

  4. Now that you mention it, I double-checked the trailer, and it seems to be Fire+Wind. Crisis averted, I suppose.
  5. It seems like Nine can also summon foliage with her magic? I suppose this is yet another case of "Wind = Earth" that Japanese games like so much. It irks me more than it probably should have, and makes it more likely for people to write it down as Red, Blue and Green.
  6. She's not the only writer giving the second score, just one of the three members of Famitsu staff. That said, none of them are that good at the game. As for the Nine nomenclature argument, I think people might end up writing it down as colors, something like RGB. Though that really depends on the exact way her system works, not to mention that it can't be used by colorblind people. Oh, and Mori has just said that Nine doesn't have a Drive, pretty much confirming the entire leak. They also had a decent close-up of the relevant Famitsu spread, so we can check that out when the timeshift goes up.
  7. Well duh, you should always learn about your potential enemies, and Nine is totally going to be a common pick when CF lands on consoles. My only wish is for her to have an obvious weakness despite this "You have the options for everything" design, and since she seems to take a lot of time to get her best magic, that sounds good enough to me. No one wants to have another Kokonoe-like "Well, she's supposed to be strong in the story, so let's give her everything" design.
  8. Nine doesn't seem to be in their build. That doesn't mean they won't show a trailer or anything, but it does make that less likely.
  9. Note how the article says "Playable" in big bold letters rather than "Surprise boss character" or "NPC" or whatever. Not particularly surprising, but still looking great. That "Stock" thing looks cool.
  10. Oh, hey, just noticed that the character portraits on the character select screen are now colored. Which means that Nu/Lambda players won't be picking the wrong character by accident.
  11. Johnny's unblockables have been nerfed to hell. Makes sense, I suppose. EDIT: To elaborate, here are the Bacchus Sigh changes: - The mist goes away if Johnny is hit. - Unblockable Mist Finer attacks have forced proration added to them.

  13. Just noticed that the links to forum rules and guidelines both lead to guidelines. I assume it's because we only had the guidelines before, meaning that the rules still have to be written, but it's been a while since the forums moved already. Basically, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to report things like ban evasion, because I don't know Dustloop's stance on it.

  16. That's exactly what I'm talking about: same thing can be said about Ragna and Naoto. I'm saying that Carl and Relius play differently despite being similar visually (and having a strong connection in the story).
  17. I thought we were talking about protags. Pretty much; no one complained when Relius became playable, even though he and Carl are expected to have a lot in common.
  18. And what does that have to do with my post? Naoto got some great range for a protag-type character, whether Mori intended that or not.

  20. Just because you didn't know his entire movelist doesn't mean he has no shadow clones. As for the whole "Feints are broken" problem, remember how Arakune had them since CT? Yeah, me neither, because he hardly ever uses them. Guess they aren't so OP after all.
  21. After the update, the text in the input box has become white, making it almost invisible against the white background. I assume it is because I'm using the Bullet skin, which uses white text. Any way to fix that?

  24. Something is clearly wrong with the Bullet voters: even after picking all the blue-white palettes they could find, they still didn't pick the one blue-white palette I'm using. Oh well.
  25. It's pretty easy to tailor the story to the characters you add, though, especially when so much stuff is going on. Just put some plot lines aside and concentrate on the ones that new characters are involved in.
