  1. Maybe if Jam didn't spend most of her time fighting strangers all over the world, she could actually protect it.

    Jam Kuradoberi General Discussion

That one got a few typos, so I figured I'd translate it all, myself, just in case. Ryuujin Gekirin Kenroukaku Asanagi no Kokyuu (Breath of Asanagi) Youeikyaku Bakushuu Mawarikomi Hamonkyaku Hyappo Shinshou Senri Shinshou Hochifu Zekkei Goushao Dowanga Choukyaku Hououshou Renhoukyaku Bao Saishinshou Kaorinquen Gasenkotsu By the way, I noticed that the dash sweep got different name, so it is likely to be completely different now. The divekick and the pillar super are slightly different, but it might be just a different spelling rather than new versions of them. EDIT: Just noticed that the dash sweep's name change has already been pointed out, though I still think that it's a whole new move. Mostly because people thought that Slayer got no new moves when his move list came out.
  3. Just like the rest of the game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you press 2P after a parry without performing a follow-up? And even if you can't, 5K should be good enough for most punishes: there aren't that many moves in the game that can't be punished by a 5-frame normal after a parry. Also, don't forget that Blitz Shield exists now, so

Missed this; it does say that she'll be playable for about one week, but not sure where you got the weekend part from. It says her release is planned for the end of September.
  6. Patch notes: - Jam is playable, but has no events in Episode Mode. - MOM Mode is back. - In Episode Mode, pause menu no longer opens if you press Start along with an attack button. - While using the AIME card, you have the option to choose whether you want to use the last used settings. - Fixed some typos. - Changed the timing of special effects when using Dust attacks. - When Millia is knocked face-down, her hurtbox is extended downwards right before she hits the ground. - Slayer's in-game voice is now louder. - Fixed a bug that won't let Slayer use regular jump when he uses "Dead on Time" or "Pilebunker" right after inputting a high jump. - Fixed I-No's animation when she is knocked face-down. There are no changes to the hurtbox, but animation and the hurtbox now match better. - Fixed a bug with Ramlethal's "Trance"'s unnatural behavior of both swords. Now behaves slightly differently, making it easier to blow the opponent away sideways. - Changed Ramlethal and Leo's Burst supers' invulnerability; both of them are now invulnerable up until the active frames. - Fixed a bug that varied input buffers and behavior of Elphelt's 5HS follow-ups. - As Elphelt, if you input "Miss Travalier" right after "Berry Pine", the input priority of "Miss Travalier" is now higher than of "Judge Better Half". - Fixed a bug that made Jack-O's Servant voices interrupt her lines. - Fixed a bug that made Jack-O's hurtbox unnaturally long when she's knocked down on her back. - Fixed a bug with Jack-O's ground "Forever Elysion Driver" grabbing opponents that are too far away vertically.

Also, her IK is still the same. This is important.
  8. All of them are actually separate people that originate from Aria. It's closer to Ky and Sin than to Sol and HOS.
  9. Let's check it out: Yeah, I guess it did.
  10. Welp, my bad. I assumed that DFC is on Nesica, and I remember playing it on the same cab as Xrd. Because complaining about complaining is what people love to do, even when there is no complaining in the first place.
  11. What else would you expect when most people here have never even seen a Nesica cabinet, let alone played on it?
  12. Does that mean that most tournaments are played on a stage that's actually worse than most of them (Arena)?
  13. Is it just me, or they didn't re-record the voices for some characters? Bullet sounds exactly the same, unlike Azrael.
  14. I mean, why would they? If that post is not off-topic for that thread (and almost nothing is in a general discussion thread), there is no reason for the mod to take action. At least not now.
  15. The second loketest has started, so people should be more active about reposting their findings here. Here are some Noel changes from the general discussion thread: - 5A doesn't hit crouching opponents. Instead, its recovery is reduced (Bang couldn't punish it with his 5A on regular block). - 5C feels like its start-up is increased, but its recovery is reduced, so it's better on whiff. - 6C's second hit floats lower than in the last loketest? - The reload animation of the Drives has become shorter. - Starter 2D seems to force crouching. - If Drive 6C is blocked, the advantage you get even including the reload animation is about 5 times better than before. - Drive 6D goes behind the opponent if you're too close or they're in the corner. However, it's easy to react to thanks to its animation. Still hits low. Since it has body and projectile invuls, you may use it against guard cancels or other reversals. - Chamber Shot now wall-bounces even on mid-screen, so it's easy to follow up. You can RC and follow it up with dash 5B. - Revolver Blast's follow-up knocks down the opponent a bit closer than before. - Spring Raid's untech time is reduced.

I'll repost this in the loketest info thread. A friendly reminder to other people reporting various changes to repost them over there, too.
  17. A point that's worth mentioning is that, at least in my experience, searching for information in a hundred threads is easier than in a single 100-post thread. Not too long ago, I wanted to read a post about Faust's options at the round start that I've seen in the general thread, but to find it, I had to read every page of it, starting from the last one, as I don't remember any keywords that might've helped me search for it. Now, if that post had its own thread titled "Faust at round start" or whatever, I assume it would've saved me (and other people who might want to read it) a lot of time that could be better spent elsewhere. Now, how do we encourage people to break down the discussion into multiple threads? The first idea I got was to close down the general discussion threads altogether, but in a world where people can make threads at the drop of a hat, they're just going to make (or migrate to) another one. I feel that the key is in broadening the scope of the community to the entire subforum rather than the general thread. Basically, people shouldn't feel that they're only allowed to discuss things in a single thread. Now, how do you do that is a whole different problem, and it might be related to the whole mod discussion from a while ago.
  18. I'm going to assume that people will be able to name the characters they give their vote for. Not only would that give a chance to various characters who've never been playable yet (like Gabriel or Raven), it would also give ASW a way to conceal some of their future plans. Like you said, having some characters missing from the list would be a pretty loud signal that they're already considering adding them, so why not get rid of the list altogether?
  19. You know what xenophobia is? Making the Japanese sound like corporate devils for not catering to your market that doesn't even have the game yet.
  20. Considering that they promised an important announcement, yes, I would expect one.

I'm not sure how to feel about an intentionally secondary design being called the best
  22. That works, and I tried editing my signature with that, but apparently, no smilies at all are allowed in signatures now. Which is all sorts of weird to me.

I can't wait to YRC Dragon Kick. In fact, I'm more excited about Jam than the rest of the newcomers, even though I've never been interested in her in AC. Maybe it's all because I've picked up Bullet since then?
  24. And to think that people expected Zappa, Dizzy and Baiken when the answer was right in front of us all this time.
  25. Got the error over here, too, and it doesn't save the changes you make, either.
