  1. (2/2) as for which players to watch...there really isn't one single ragna that people should follow (or even any for that matter). none of the ragna players stick out in my opinion; most cases they seem to excel in one thing, but the hindrances in other areas cost them matches. the closest suggestions i can give to you is macchi for ragna combo routes, and minami for everything else.

  2. (1/2) in terms of gameplay, he's more or less the same as in CSEX. the main difference is his damage output and combo routes, but his offense and defense strats remain largely the same. ragna's mixup and answers to approaches had a few hits here and there, but there were mostly on things that good ragna players don't use a whole lot anyways, such as 6A. as for blood scythe, i can't really say a whole lot myself that would mean anything, considering i don't have the game and all that. however, based on what i know, i feel like it's fundamentally CSEX dead spike. it's a move that's slow and easy to see, but gives ragna good frame advantage when it lands. opponents will punish the move if it's in predictable spots, so the key to using it is to be unpredictable with it, and optimize the opening when you get the opponent to block the move. i guess with blood scythe you can actually force the opponent to block it if you perform it at certain ranges, so it requires a bit of experimenting.

  3. (2/2) zekusu does nothing that fits this category, which is why i only consider him a sub-par ragna. not only does he not do anything special, but his general understanding of ragna's moves is also incomplete. i've seen him get a few gauntlet hades against the tsubaki, but most of those times (if not all) he didn't have 50 heat to make the move safe. gauntlet hades is very blockable, and if ragna does not have 50 heat to rapid cancel the move, it's a guaranteed punish. things like those will easily and very quickly break a ragna player when fighting against high level players. same thing with the tager match; zekusu kept doing the j.C j.D approach against tager, but the tager player never decided to react backdash against any of them. if he had done that, he could very well have punished every single attempt with A buster (maybe even B).

  4. (1/2) nah, it's fine. i can give you my thoughts. this ragna btw is zekusu. i think it's the same one that was in arc revo who went by "overdriver" or something. to be honest, i think this ragna is a little worse than okay. he has all the combos down, but there's nothing special outside of that. sure, ragna players can win by sticking purely to a simple mindset, but ragna's footsies and linear mixup can only do so much before the opponent figures out a way around it. this is even more evident in CP, as ragna lost some mixup options as well as his retarded damage output. good ragna players not only carry a strong fundamental game with them, but also know tricks and gimmicks to surprise the opponent. i don't feel right when i say this, but the only way ragna can win against the best players is to utilize gimmicks as much as possible without deterring from the fundamental game.

  5. i've been found out

  6. also i'm incredibly rusty since i found pso2 so there's that

  7. dunno if i can get on xbox today, but i can try tomorrow.

  8. it's a newly added BB tag called [info]. works like [info=title].

  9. i know shtkn can, since he's the one who manages the forums. he's usually quick to respond. i think circ can as well, but i can't be sure. i can talk to him personally if you'd like.

  10. i can't say much, especially since i know absolutely nothing about tsubaki, but yours has definitely given me a run for my money. it's not everyday you fight a tsubaki who actually makes you pay attention to the match. maybe i'm too spoiled with playing real time matches, i mean i took a long ass while to get used to lag like that

  11. i figured as much :v:, it didn't really matter cause i was just fudging my blocking and barrier-ing like there was no god i like how i'm being called patient, i feel like i'm the only ragna who plays like that ever i want to play more matches with you but i'm not a fan of that lag

  12. that's about as all as i can offer from our play. i think it'll help to play more patiently in general against ragna, as the matchup is essentially "whoever gets hit either loses a burst or just loses"

  13. actually i can't 6D your 3C this game, they nerfed the invincibility on that for EX. i noticed that half of my punishes were off of bad 3Cs, so that's why i'm saying to not do as much. other tips...i'd suggest using more kishuu mixup. that move is really good, so be sure to use and abuse it, especially after using renka (renka > kishuu on hit gets about 5k or so iirc :o) you shouldn't ever airdash after your j.C at ragna after, just do some regular ground dashes. you could use j.D to bait any anti-airs, but in doing so you put yourself into a 50/50 situation. this one's not so much of a tip that you absolutely should follow, but it helps against ragnas who know the matchup. and that is to never use your D's unless either you know you'll bait ID or when ragna uses dead spike. ragna can either 2C or 2D on reaction. while i wasn't able to capitalize off of every punish i did, it wouldn't have been pretty if i was able to.

  14. the 6C RC throw setup is reaaaalllly dirty, i don't expect anyone other than spark to actually tech it (it also is going to work in CP as well :O) i never did GH a whole lot, that move's an easy to block overhead as well as one that's unsafe without meter, so it's not a move to throw out ggs though. a tip you might want to consider is laying off on the 3Cs a bit. ragna may be prone to 3Cs a lot due to him spamming 5Bs, but keep in mind that he still has ways around it

  15. gimme a bit i gotta poop first

  16. i ain't even mad when it comes to lag, cause it's like "oh hey another overhead i can't see because of bad connections, I GUESS I WILL DO THE SAME"

  17. i'm available right now and (probably) anytime that's not 6~7:30 PM PST. of course, this is assuming my brother won't be playing halo 4, so i don't know if i will be available late night

  18. ggs, i just wished our matches weren't as laggy as that

  19. i'll probably be having dinner then

  20. why it's a beautiful avatar

  21. don't you know DL's a no fun zone

  22. beat you in that lag? pff.
