Maybe, but it isn't working at all, it seems. I'd say both. While marketing sucks out here and may be really huge out there, the games get no hype at all. See how the only hyped games until now are Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, Destiny and for now, Graces. The rest of them are all overshadowed. Even Graces, who is supposedly famous right now, is badmouthed by japaneses for it's battle system, or so a friend from Japan told me. And we all should know by now that Team Destiny NEVER gets their games around here. NEVER. Team Symphonia gets all the love. My guess is that it happens mostly because all Team Destiny games are 2D. Now, look at Team Symphonia games. Symphonia, Abyss and Vesperia were all localized. Then again, Graces is 3D. But it won't get here, I guess. Now, if you look at it, they only bring 3D games and/or that are sufficiently hyped in Japan. Exceptions aside, like Radiant Mythology 1 or... Phantasia GBA.

lol, never knew you were into Tales. Point taken. But does not make me satisfied, past-wise. And yes, the movie was excellent. Just hope Tales studio doesn't officially announce bankrupcy. I would cry a river. Maybe two. Me wants new PS3 Tales before that happens.

Well, I don't know. There are RPGs and RPGS... if you get what I mean.. lol Anyway, Tales of the Abyss had a nice development for some characters. No, I don't include Luke in it. Luke's development was horrible. Not because of it's content and yes how fast it was. Before, he was a selfish and immature little boy. Then, he explodes a town and 5 seconds after it his personality just... twists. Where is the slow process of changing? He just became another person in less than 10 minutes. And the Asch issue was way too obvious. Although, I like Abyss's ending. But I love Guy's development, best one in the game. In RPGs nowadays, it's hard to find a truly good character backstory. The only one who really delights me is Lion's, it is so different from what you would expect. Then again, Symphonia is my favorite game, and it was my first one as well. I love Symphonia's plot too much, even if the character backstories were left all too poor. At least they are developing it at those OVAs. :D

Leon is his localized name. Lion is his original name, and no, not just a romanization. I wouldn't say... upset, but oh well. The movie was an excellent way to show a little of his past. But he is like that in the game because of just that? From such attitudes, one would expect much more from Yuri's backstory. It's not just "I was a soldier, then I killed a dog who was important to the team, there were betreyals, I killed a mage and now I hate the Empire for it's burocracy and lack of responsabilities". It looks way too "light" for me to swallow it and say "yeah, he did all that in the game because of just that". Actually, maybe just that was enough. But if that's true, then I can say that they could've developed it a lot more. A lot. Gasp, will have to divide the comment in two parts.

Gosh, it's horrible. I mean, I don't mind Yuri being an badass from the start. But he had NO development at all. And story development wouldn't jut mean how the character grows up or anything, but if they had explored Yuri's past more, it would've been perfect. We know he's grown, he has his beliefs, he's developed, but we don't know how and why. That's just horrible. Of course, I'm not considering the movie, which actually tells us about his past. However, I'm not really satisfied with just that. It could've been better. Then again, I loved the movie. And that's why Lion is my favorite character in the entire series. His entire development is just beautiful, especially how it ended for him.

You might have misundertood my last message... right? D: At ny rate, I agree. He's pretty original. However, the game starts with him already developed, which is lame. My favorite character is certainly Lion.

Pretty nice. Although Yuri is kinda far from being my favorite character in the series.

Hmm. I've seen in one of your videos that you bought a Blackmagic Intensity Pro, am I correct? If so, comparing it with Hauppauge HD PVR, which one would you think it's better? Asking this completely out of curiousity, since I own a Hauppauge myself.

ToDr is fucking awesome, Lion is there. inb4 fangasm But you see, ToS and TotA are like the god Tales games for most fans. That's pretty common, so don't go by their opinion. Play it and see if you like the plot, characters, etc. I luff Mithos. <3 ToV is very fun and the cast is awesome. ToG made me like the entire cast as well. lol
