    Grand Viper in Accent Core FAQ

    I figured the same old question would come up, that being "omg how u do 8 hits with ground vipah", as well as a new question: How do I do a clean hit with Accent Core Grand Viper, so I made this thread to answer any and all questions. How do I do an 8 hit Grand Viper? Age old question that never seems to go away. After performing Grand Viper, wiggle the stick back and forward in rapid succession while tapping two (or more, but be careful of Roman Cancel) buttons. Is GV safe on block? No. You will die. You can't get IK'd anymore like the old versions, nor can they burst out of it for free and punish you, but if they block it you're going to get punished. How do I get a clean hit? Originally, information (to my knowledge, not sure if it was ever elaborated on) said that you just mash for the eight hits and the last one will score a clean hit. However, after testing several times on different characters, THIS IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE. Mashing like you're playing MvC2 will not net you a clean hit all the time. If you do Grand Viper by itself (meaning you don't combo into it at all), mashing like crazy should get you a clean hit. If you combo into GV (usually from 2K-2H), you have to have a little more finess in your mashing. If you mash too little, you won't get the full eight hits. If you mash too much, Sol will only softly punch them in the crotch. From what I could tell, if you stop your mash just after the 7th hit, the clean hit should connect in most cases. Keep in mind these are only observations after testing, I could be wrong. Most of the time after comboing GV from 2K-2H, mashing like mad did not work... though it did on rare occasions. However, if I stopped mashing just between the 7th and 8th hit, I would get a clean hit 95% of the time (5% execution error for the times I didn't most likely). Does GV connect after 2D (sweep)? On light characters (Buri and the female cast from what I've seen) it should connect. However, mashing for more hits after a sweep will allow them to tech after the 2nd GV hit. Just do GV without the mashing and it will net you a clean hit. However, I wouldn't recommend doing GV after sweep, as the follow ups are pretty lacking. sj.S -> SVV seemed to be the only practical combo. What are some good/practical combos to do after a clean hit GV? Providing you didn't do 2D -> GV on a light character, the usual follow up is j.S or j.D into a clean hit SW. So far that follow up seems to be the most rewarding. j.S should work on pretty much everyone, but j.D is a bit harder to land a CLSW on normal or heavier characters. --- That's it for now. If further questions are needed I'll add them. Remember this is all from my observations and testing. If something is wrong feel free to correct or add anything in this FAQ.

    If you hold A+B while doing 2AB (sweep), she won't actually attack with sweep. This is a staple part of her mix up.

    It was strange that they added the ice mechanic back in after they took out the wiggle from BB. People only do combos you cannot wiggle out of anyways. Oh well. What are you supposed to do for a throw combo on Yukiko and Naoto since the 2B appears to always whiff after B Coup? Seems like the only option is to just end the combo after B Coup.

    You can fully charge 5B against Kanji's DP, but the timing is kind of tricky. Seems practical enough though. But let's say you can't on Kanji and Akihiko. The timing is kind of tricky as well, but you can jump forward CH j.C to punish, [4B] [2B] 2D [6B] 2AB C Bufula [6B] 2AB B Coup for 4185 and corner push.

    I did okay at NCI today but was overall not terribly happy with how I played. I lost to people I shouldn't have lost to. Just need to play more and get more comfortable with Mitsuru. I honestly don't care what anyone says, this character isn't exactly a pick up and master right away character, despite how good she is. I actually didn't know holding the Myriad Arrows super actually did more damage. I thought it was just for show.

If you end the combo with D Bufudyne, it does 6101 damage, leaves you with about 20 meter, and drains about 21 meter. You will ALWAYS gain enough meter to end with super. The damage for the former combo is using [4B] 2AB after the 2D~D. Not sure what the damage is using [4B] [2B] variation, but it's probably less.

    Not sure about "near corner". Corner only is probably all that is needed. It would imply B Coup is pushing toward corner anyways.

    Uses for C attack include: 5C for combos only, usually FC combos, 2C for Marin Karin in order to approach if needed/make your opponent move, and j.C for throw bait set ups. If you're doing a 2B 2D~D combo, doing another 2D~D is not recommended due to the proration. The best 2B 2D~D combo would be to follow up with [4B] 2AB C Bufula [6B] 2AB B Coup. This also depends on height and timing, so you may not be able to land a C Bufula after sweep. Alternatively after the 2D~D, you can [4B] [2B] into C Bufula if they are deep enough into your [4B] but are too low to land 2AB C Bufula. Hope this helps. Also found a meterless corner FC combo that does over 5k damage and nets you 72 meter. Should I post it here or the combo thread?

    In addition to what was said, she's also a pretty low risk, high reward character. Watching top JP play, a bad guess against Mitsuru can lead to meterless 3k to 3.5k on non-FC combos. Not that many characters can achieve that much damage meterless or without some sort of punish/elaborate set up. All of her combos give her corner push as well. Anyone have any setups/advice on how to land D Bufala oki in the corner?
