[Xrd] Elphelt Gameplay Discussion "The True Best Girl"

I've been playing Japanese Elphelts here in the Asia servers and I admit I have no idea how she works so I'm mostly getting surprised by whatever she pulls out. I'm uploading a batch of close match vids against a runaway Elphelt for you guys if you're interested in seeing her played.

Just bought GGXrd Limited Edition here in the Philippines for about US$ 82 dollars. Note that its a different "limited edition" to the US version. We're getting the 6-button controller instead of your "Backyard" thing and music cd and other stuff. GGXrd Limited Edition PS4 Unboxing Day 1 (Region 3) Edit: Played against some Japanese randoms on the Tokyo lobbies. Surprisingly most of who I played were still new to the game. This Ky player / lobby host was the best one. Also, the level of this game isn't very high despite it being against a Japanese player. Will practice more and get an arcade stick then challege people on the "Serious Match" lobbies or maybe play ranked. EDIT 2: Here's a guide on how the online play lobbies work and how to navigate the menus: GGXrd Online Play Walkthrough PS4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXBEMeWrfnU If you're looking for how to unlock Sin Kiske, he's here: GGXrd How To Unlock Sin Kiske https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNDCigNHcw8

[#R] GGXX#R: Known Online gameplay Issues

I'm sure they're already considering that as an option for a further patch. Because thats the first thing you learn in making online games work.

Faust in Accent Core : General Discussion

I don't know if anyone noticed yet but apparently they added a 2S > 5K gatling. (They removed the reverse which was K > 2S.) This ought to make some relaunches simpler, once we get used to it.

    Faust in Slash : Matchups

You use it primarily for three things I guess: 1. Airdash brake - His airdash is long and can be punishable - but can be cancelled with the air brake. This gives you the advantage of great air coverage - but still makes it safe and flexible since you can stop dashing at any point. 2. Falling on enemies - Its not always safe jumping in on enemies. To make sure you control the air properly, you have to land safely as well. Alert enemies would try to anti-air you on the way down. Air brakeing just at the right times will make them mistime thier anti-air and let you not only land safely, but punish the whiffed anti-air with a prompt air 2K in the face. Normally I do them twice first while falling at jumpheight to get my bearings and elevation right. (Plus it gives the enemy a little more time to spot you in the air and get ready to use his anti-air.) Once you're near the ground and hes about to AA you, then you pop one or two brakes, the AA whiffs and you 2K LGMW them. Don't do air 2K high in the air. Note: don't use AA baiting as an offensive move. Use superjumps a lot (instead of regular jumps). 3. For the overhead LAK mixups - combo options after the overhead are horribly limited, but its good to put it in there for posteritys sake.

    Faust in Slash : Matchups

Dashing from midscreen is a pretty stupid move for sol to begin with. Hes bound to get poked before he even gets there. I'm pretty sure he'll prefer to attack from the air. In any case, hit him before he gets close. Thats all there is to it. If hes close enough to hit you, don't attempt to beat any of his attacks with your own. Superjump airdash, air brake, land, and start over. If he prefers air like I said, then get ready to counter with AA and punish. Simple enough. On the occasion that he covers his ground dash with an frc gunflame in front of it, then just superjump like I mentioned before.

    Faust in Slash : Matchups

What you're gonna have to do vs. Pot (and pretty much anybody in the char list) is learn how to use Faust's superjump, airdash, airdash control, air brakes, headbomb and safe-landing techniques. You pretty much only hit the ground long enough to poke once, cancel into item throw (can be optional), and superjump. It goes without saying that you should avoid chances where the Pot is trying to make you jump out from a pressure string. Its pretty complicated so I understand if it sounds like I'm just saying generic stuff like: "Don't get hit." though.

6P his BR. Dust through BR. Duck under BR. Duck under BB. On blockstrings he'll usually finish with either GF, BR, BB. Superjump if its GF, 6P his BR, duck under BB. Don't skimp on anti-airs. Under normal faust style of play Sol won't get close enough to touch you.

    Faust in Slash : Matchups

Don't worry about her slide since its majorly punishable. If you're worried about not being able to see and guess what followup she'll do then just superjump. Superjump kinda fixes everything really. What you need to learn though is how to capitalize on Faust's air mobility so you can land safely and even have advantage most of the time.

Hanzo: Sup ;P BTW, always remember to punish the counters when they happen. Since I already mentioned to limit blockstrings to 1-hit, don't forget that this is a natural bait for alpha counters. Once she does one, punish. Best way is to combo A > sweep pogo > GMW/or RC combo B. Punishing counters is way better and easier than finding ways to break her guard.
