I was this way for a while too. Then, every time it happens, sometime very soon after you get a few godlike reads and string together a set of wins and you don't want to drop the character. She reminds me so much of the idea of marvel in a much, much more fair character. She's still fun, but eventually you realize that when people know all your gimmicks, you get 1, maybe 2 chances a round, and if you're not there to punish, or you drop your combo, or you can't kill them, then, well, it's over Advance note: Take everything I say with a grain of salt because I'm bad First game was good, you did pretty well, I personally would have set up Meaty 214C pressure, or a j.C -> 2C to force a fatal counter reset since Jamaal wasn't teching, but that's just me. After the first couple games I noticed that you got in a real hurry to get out of pressure. Maybe I'm the odd one here, but I feel like you got hit with a LOT of counterhit/obvious setup trades or traps because the second someone backed off of you or delayed you were immediatly mashing. Like Game 3 (or 4 I can't remember) Jamaal got a hit on you, put you in the corner (off a counterhit) then did a IAD backwards expecting a roll, ran in, and got ANOTHER counterhit (I would guess because of a 2B mash), almost killed you, then got ANOTHER counterhit trade against a 2B. Obviously, work on your confirms, but they seemed pretty good (better than mine ) Finish your plate when it comes to combos. You dropped quite a few important combos, some at really important points. Also, too many times you go for her gimmicky 5D resets instead of taking guarunteed damage. People were really expecting it torwards the middle/end. I hate to generalize so much but if I made a specific list I feel like every one of my notes would be 1 of these 3 things. So, work on those and I think you'll be much better off!

So...I'll have to back out of this 4v4. I cut my finger at work wednesday. It's pretty bad. I have 4 stitches in my finger right now, it won't be healed for at least 3 weeks. And it's on my middle finger, which i use a lot when playing fighting games ;_;. I'd post pictures, but it looks pretty nasty and i'm sure people don't want to see it, lol. Hopefully someone can take my spot ;_;. Sorry guys

You should have come up with everyone last week, we were all up at my place, plenty of pizza/alcohol to go around D: Anyways MiracleKnight is pretty good, I was too drunk by the time I started playing Persona to pose any real threats, but he jumps a lot after the 5C string instead of reacting to what liz does, so it's really easy to 214A / IAD air turn j.D him. He also never bursts the AoA -> OMC -> Coffin combo so if you catch him in the corner, don't try to bait it T_T Robert, Graham, and Jamaal will burst it though, so be careful. Oh, and I'm actually picking up Aigis, but I'm so awful with her atm that i'm still going to main liz until I put in a few hundred games with her. Come up to Fort Collins sometime <3. Or when I have a weekend off I'll try to make it down to Denver.

You mean where you just downback everything but 5D? :> And about the 4v4, my new manager hasn't been approved by the system yet, so my schedule for next week is gonna come out wayyyyy late (like tuesday) so I won't know if I work Friday until then, i'll let you guys know asap though.

I totally have, but it'd be more in the context of "I gotta bang out some homework real quick before we can play" kinda stuff.

As a character, her design is so intrinsically flawed that just one change wouldn't be enough. She'd need a fairly thorough rework to get her to a point where she's not on the nasty OP side or the sadly UP side. Just my thoughts, though.

Don't worry, did that the other day and lost like 10 games in a row because of it. That shit doesn't just hurt your heart, it makes you doubt your combos and completely fucks with the way you play. Yeah, that was the exact situation I was in. 4th game, Second Round with me on game point. Looking back, I watched the saved replay and could've probably gone for something burst safe, but that's about it. Also, in terms of characters I hate, Mitsuru and Yosuke are definitely the top 2. Hopefully though, since I saved all the replays I can find a way to record these matches and get them up so people can see how awesome I am laugh at how free I am.

Got reading rainbow'd to all hell yesterday against a yosuke ft5. Went do to the AoA corner combo for a win, noticed he had a burst, thought i'd try to be a badass and bait the burst. He didn't burst. I lost the following 3 games and the subsequent ft5 because of the momentum he got going off of it.

That was some great stuff. Thanks for the video. Gave me some nice ideas.

I saw you in a room the other day, I think it was while I was afk on autopass for quite a while but I was cleaning up my living room, if I remember correctly your Liz was pretty decent, but one thing that def stuck out to me is that you had 3 or 4 situations to do the AoA -> OMC -> Coffin combo (opponent didn't have burst, you clearly had the meter or enough to mind charge for the meter) and you would have won the round if you had done it, but you didn't. Also, I noticed at least 6 times where you got a CH/FC 5D and went for the usual j.A > j.B > j.A > j.B > j.C combo, whereas when it FC/CH's, you get a wallbounce and can do something like (Wallbounce) 5B > Sweep > Ex. Garu > D. Garu > 2A > 5B > Stuff, it does a lot more damage (I'm still trying to wake up and I can't remember my CH 5D combo at the moment, but it does 4-5k) as opposed to your ~2.1 off a CH.

I know that feel, bro. ggs everyone, I think I'm about done with liz, i feel so hopeless in so many matches and after watching Damosu get murdered at NEC, oh god
