----------------------------------- Accent Core Dizzy Strategy Guide ----------------------------------- For Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced players This guide is intended to help both Guilty Gear beginners who want to learn Dizzy as their first character, and experienced players who want to learn more about what Dizzy can offer. I have tried to structure it in such a way that even newcomers to the game should be able to understand the content. If you are new to the game, please visit our encyclopedia for essential basics about the game. There is also a basic Guilty Gear FAQ written by Gwyrgyn that helps beginners to understand how the game works, and I recommend that you read through it first. Navigating This Guide This guide can be read straight through from beginning to finish, and is what I recommend you to do, especially if you are new to the game. If you have prior game experience and just want to learn Dizzy as your new character, you can skip to Chapter 2 of the guide, which lists her normals. Simply scroll down to the Table of Contents and click the corresponding chapter that you would wish to view. I have also included links on most of the keywords throughout the guide. If you don't understand a keyword you come across, chances are that you can click it, guiding you to Chapter 1 of my guide, which lays out all the basic keywords you should know. IF AT ANY TIME YOU ARE CONFUSED, PLEASE TELL ME SO I CAN DE-CONFUSE IT I try to envision a beginner's point of view while writing, but of course I cannot guarantee that I will always be successful. Please tell me if anything you see in this guide confuses you. Table of Contents I. Basic Information and Notations II. Dizzy's Normals --- A. Dizzy's Normals (details) --- B. Gattling List III. Amen on the godlike oki. I went through a large chunk of the AC+R videos posted here and it's amazing what the new K fish allows you to do. Those extra active frames really give you a plethora of new mixup options! Also, 2k > 5H and 5H > 2D is so huge. 236D and 421D are game changers. 2k 80% proration is actually pretty huge as well, I used to just focus on knockdown when starting with 2k, now I can extend those combos. j.2S 90% prorate I actually agree with, it was needed considering you can IAD a lot of the cast on crouch. Any great uses for D fish?

What exactly makes her S tier all of a sudden?

GGs psyblade! Dizzy mirror matches are the SHIT!! :D Btw you've improved tremendously since the last time I played you, and I'm loving our matches.
-
Theres always some lag for online games which can royally screw up your timing. That may have something to do with it.
-
GG's edworld, your Millia is giving me some great matchup experience
-
For sure add me anytime, I might not be able to play until next week though
-
Ah yes specialedworld you were the first guy I played! We have amazing connection, where do you live? You have a scary May and Millia, I had a lot of fun playing against you. I hate the fact that they're both so damn floaty Btw my friend gave me his PS3 so I was using his PSNID since I didn't know how that worked, I've now created my own PSNID: nehcney

GG's to Blitz, and a bunch of others I played tonight, such a fun game and I'm glad to be back! Hopefully I'll get my groove back soon so I can have even more fun :D

Winning is fun. Winning is even sweeter when you know that the person you won against is really good. You can agree with that right? Just like everything else in life, being good at something you do is fun. Do you think that Kobe Bryant got to his level just by playing basketball games? Of course not, he had to go through intensive training, most of which is not fun at all. But it was worth it to him, and if I were in his shoes I would also agree all the blood sweat and tears were worth being able to stand at the top. The best things in life come from hard work. Most of the time that hard work isn't fun. But if you are driven and have that goal in mind while you do the work, then it makes it bearable. Sure you can also just play this game casually with no regards to improving, but the more work you put into the game, the more rewarding it will be.

Haha cool stuff! I've been watching a bunch of the videos you've posted here on Dustloop to try and catch up with the "current" styles and they've been helping a great deal. Ruki and Makkii are some pretty scary Dizzy players

Thanks buddy I'm glad it's still helping players after all these years! So after almost 5 years of not touching GG or checking these forums, I'll be returning to the scene once again as soon as I get my ps3 :D So much has happened over the years, graduating college, starting a career, even a brief stint on Ninja Warrior :P I know I'm a mod here so I want to apologize for not doing my moderating duties, and a big thanks to Nehle for being here and offering his help. Frankly I thought that GG pretty much died out after everyone switched to BlazBlue so I'm pleasantly surprised that there are still committed players here. I can't say how much time I will be able to spend playing GG and helping with the forums, so no promises, but I will do what I can. BTW Nehle saw your matches against N-O, that must have been quite an experience eh? You got some great matches in! Did you play him in person?

I'm getting a PS3 soon and will be playing again soon I hope! I'll add you guys once I'm online

Rule of thumb: the closer you are to the coast, the better

Yeah! I saw the posts on SRK but I can't make it this week, I just finished my summer courses (finals were ), and I have plans for this weekend already made. If anything's happening next weekend I can probably make it

That was beautiful! *sniff*

From what I know, I think it just takes patience. Chipp's speed is beyond Dizzy's capabilities, his pokes beat all of hers, and he can punish summons easily. He has good mixups, but they usually don't link into large combos. Try to catch him with a tick throw and use okizeme that are safe against his 1-hit-srk. I believe he wakes up slightly faster than others (at least he does in reload). It may seem like Chipp crouches quite low, but an IAD j.2S can still hit him while he's crouching. Also, don't use icespike to protect your fish, since Chipp doesn't need to kill your fish: he can just teleport behind it.

Can anybody with a capture device tell me what they use, and how well it works?
-
Anyone heard anything about this particular capture card? Diamond VC500 One Touch Video Capture Device
-
Speaking of icespike knockdowns, against heavy characters like roboky or johnny you can icespike FRC > dash > f.S > 2H > icespike x 4 and still score a knockdown
-
omg how could I miss that one...
