    "An offensive technique where the attacker leaves a small opening in their offense, goading the defender into performing an attack. This opening is designed such that the attacker can easily counter the defender's attack with his own." Basically you are purposefully giving your opponent a chance to attack, but the window you give them is so damn small that when your next attack comes out, they just eat the move, rather than you getting hit. Feel free to correct me if my layman's version of it was wrong.

    Hakumen doesn't have real pressure, his shit is gimmicky as hell and has a TON of a holes in it. A lot of the stuff you're going to do is poke them with 2A or 5A (but mostly 2A), chaining into 2B which will sometimes catch people unawares. Throw out 6B to scare them into blocking high once in awhile. Alternate between ending your pressure with 3C at max distance so they can't punish, or continuing it with Kishuu. Something that is kind of staple in Haku's pressure has been 2A > slight delay > grab. The slight delay is to ensure you don't get a purple/pink throw instead of a regular green one. I don't know what the word is on 6A, but it's probably no good for pressure anymore. Agito (his aerial ink kick) is a great approach tool, as most characters can't really deal with it (exception is maybe Rachel with her absurd 6A) and you can immediately follow up with j.B with some safety. Get used to fishing for CHs with 3C, as it leads into his loop pretty easily. You can certainly get in their face, but it's not really one of Hakumen's strengths, I would say. You would do well to incorporate zoning into your game, as he has tools to deal with long distance foes: ie: cutting projectiles to make his little black hole.

    I have to still beat the damn story mode to play around with him, (I should honestly just get to use him after you deal with Azrael in story mode but whatever >_>) but my question is: Is Kagura as complex of a character, and to that end, as hard to learn as I'm making him out to be? Obviously, if I haven't gotten to experience him outside of neanderthalic button mashing in story mode, he's going to feel very foreign to me. But, after reading much of what he's about, and a few charge moves, (I've been nary too keen at in the past) he seems like an odd bird with a steep learning curve given the different stances he can take, and what each of those stances chain into.

    Interesting...I guess all it comes down to is actually getting my hands on him. His OD at the very least looks entertaining. It'll also be new for me, because it's practically a Haku-install (outside of Mugen which was mostly useless of course), which I'm not used to playing a character that legitimately use one.

    Hey all, you may or may not recognize me, but I wanted to say I'm not really new, I've just been dodging in and out about Hakumen info for awhile; and since CP is around two months away now I've been looking into it a bit more and trying to shake off the rust. Plus a friend of mine and his gf chipped in to buy me a real nice fight stick, a Q4 I believe. So if you guys have advice or a good source of learning about how to use fight sticks well, lemme know. But anyways I've been trying to map out how Hakumen plays now. From what I've seen of pros now, and what the very little I've seen you guys discuss, it looks like Hakumen has a much more capable offense now. His usual corner carry combo that has been with him since CT has now been replaced with a loop of some kind. Still carries them, but not as well. His OD combos look crazy, and are a great way to seal a victory if given the right opportunity, which can be as simple as a damn grab. I also remember his counters taking a(nother) hit in terms of usefulness when info was being revealed during loketests. Like 6D losing 1 frame activation, which is messed up. I think someone here said fighting Litchi is really going to hurt in that respect. And I got a friend who loves using her and uses her well, so I'm sure that'll be fun for me -_- Just wanted to know what you guys who have been paying attention to him the whole time think about him, and where he's at in the game. I hear he's one of the top tier characters, but then that was a few months ago.

    I don't have much experience in learning the other characters yet, can you guys compare how easy or hard it is to use Yukiko compared to other characters? As I recall, I don't believe any other character in the cast has to hold down a button while pressing other buttons. And if anyone has anyone to play with in real life, tell me how it is. It must be glorioius....
