[CP] News & Gameplay Discussion (Old)

*sigh* I just get back into fighting games, go out and pick up EX for my 360 in anticipation of CP, and 3 days later hear they have no intentions of releasing a 360 version of the game??? Like seriously? Fuuuckkkk offff... Makes me so mad, there's more than enough 360 community to support the release... I've been hearing CP is completely different from EX as far as pacing goes, like much similar to GG in that you spend far more time in neutral and combos tend to be shorter/less damaging. Faster paced overall. Any merit to those claims?

    BBCS:EX Delayed in Canada?

Same here, despite my frustration at having to wait over a week this was at least a nice surprise...

    Screen Scaling?

I got a new 32" LCD for my bedroom for Christmas this year, and just got around to popping BB into my 360 after taking a few months off FGs and pretty much gaming in general. This was the first TV I've played 360 in HD on, so I had no idea how it'd look. To my surprise, BB on the default setting left a good chunk of the screen cut off, on all sides. It's my only game that does this after comparing my new TV to my old one. I went to display settings and tried switching to option B, and while this eliminated the issue of things being cut off, it also left very small (like maybe 2 cm) black bars on the left/ride sides of my screen. I've been told that option B is supposed to scale to your screen size, but clearly that was rather unsuccessful with my TV if it's leaving black bars. Is there any way to make it fit to screen properly? Or do I need to suck it up and play on option A where my characters back arm gets cut off at full screen and a very small part of the HUD gets cut off? (The black bars of option B are distracting to me)

The "Help Using a Joystick" Thread

Off topic here, but you really shouldn't just copy grips that you read about online. Using a "popular" grip won't make you better. What will make you better is using whatever the hell feels comfortable to you. Many people just let their hands rest near the stick and let them flow into whatever position is comfortable for the movement they need at the time. If that doesn't appeal to you, just put your hand on the stick in whatever way feels natural, don't try and conform to a grip.
