  1. Yeah I was disappointed that you couldn't put money on the card. Seems like a no brainer. but Cash Society. They don't even use debit/credit cards outisde the way we do.
  2. My memory is long enough to remember all the people who got hosed ordering physical copies of BBCP (including me). Digital only for me from now on...
  3. ah Ok. I thought I saw something about 'they would like to release it in Hong Kong and the rest of area' or something. Good stuff. Hong Kong cheaper, same as with BB, and already got my HK psn setup. just buy a code or two and I'll be set. Thank you!
  4. This game will NOT be available on the hong kong PSN, is this correct?
  5. 1. Tsubaki's j.D landing recovery is not removed by double jump or air dash. RC I think would remove it considering j214C > RC> 6C works. 2. don't know 3. Yeah either longer recovery or the last. Not sure what char can actually test this. with tsubaki the last one is also the longer recovery one (JD (9f)> J214C(31f or something))
  6. don't you want to play against a round of 64 GOD?

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Gameplay Discussion

that is pretty simple. the frame data specifies how many times a move with multiple hits prorates. if a move with multiple hits prorates only once, then the 1+nth hits all suffer from the proration. 10x100 dmg, p2 of 90(1), for example, would do effective damage of 100,90x9 within a combo. outside of a combo, it would be more like 100, 63x9. (character combo proration value)
  8. In a sense we have the most official frame data we've ever had because the actual company listed frame data changes. Outside of that tho we have nothing. I haven't touched anything because I haven't known what the situation has been. But there are changes we can make.. The universal jump attack proration changes, each of the individual changes for each char, etc. Or hidden nerfs or things people have found it. Rachel's lotus is an F starter in 1.1, the frame data says N. Mook might have been wrong or it might have been a hidden nerf. If it were pre 1.1 I might've just updated it. etc.
  9. should we be updating the wiki with 1.1 changes? there isn't going to be a new wiki for 1.1 right, so yes?
  10. what's your counterpick for nu players?

    1. Errol

      Errol

really, i thought mu was classically disadvantaged against nu? I mean, when I think about it, It seems to make sense to me but I thought mus complained.

Terumi and litchi make a lot of sense to me. DUnno about Noel.

      Why koko? graviton>teleport?

      someonewhodied

Mu: If you manage to get even the simplest oki, you can keep a stein chain going with mixed in mixup and nu can't do shit about it.

Kokonoe: better normals, better mobility, and able to use her 236B to immediately stuff any whiffed drives without fear. Also her 3C can catch any nu that likes to throw out Luna Sickle mid-pressure.

Noel: 4D>214D too strongth. You can even stuff run-up lows with good spacing. Mobility is good, her oki can stuff wakeup distortion wit...

    3. someonewhodied

      someonewhodied

-without changing it at all. She also has no reason to respect nu in neutral period.

Of course any good play can get around kokonoe and noel since it is only a loss of options, not a complete game plan shutdown. Mu though is a bigger problem. Mus that complain about the matchup probably just don't know how to actually play that matchup.

PM'd you, and yeah, I miss the NCSU sessions as well. For now there's just random house sessions going on until NCSU's main school semester is back in session. :(

  13. it's funny, I saw that post and I was like.. did he play Rob..? Gotta ask... I want to get some kokonoe experience so we should play again eventually.

I think he did play against me while I was on my japanese account, his name sounded similar to a guy I played a couple days ago (which is what caught my eye when he posted). xD

And yeah we can play soon, maybe even offline, since I think I'll be making another trip to Raleigh soon.

I need to get back to practicing on Koko honestly (though I at least have solid combos / setups now), my training mode time for games has been split up since AH3LM is coming out in two...

oops, just now seeing my message somehow got cut. probably a word limit. oh well... you getting Love Max this week / tomorrow?

  14. in EX it was different since tsubaki's DP was so bad. but yeah, a 6f 2a and a 5f 5a is very nice to have. in CP tsubaki's DP is very solid though. against certain characters, makoto's is completely useless. tsubaki's fireballs are good neutral tools in 1.1. converting air hits is a major advantage makoto has over tsubaki, also converting max range hits. but fireballs, dps, and the general charge mechanic and D moves provide big tools in certain matchups. Just the ability to force them to come in because you're charging can make a big difference.
  15. if you can see tsubaki's overhead, and you're barriering, you are actually clean out once you block it. actually, if you barrier, a lot of the time you can get out completely if she goes for a high with little / no risk. if she frametraps any, push back is too much for 6a to hit. it's very.. ah.. not good.
  16. defense and neutral tools are the general thing tsubaki has over makoto. makoto's normals are generally quite a bit a better. I think makoto has significantly better mixup too. tsubaki doesn't have 50/50s. both chars are very bad. In EX neither was worse than the other. but in CP 1.1 tsubaki is going to be better than makoto. In 1.0 I think they were the same. But tsubaki got minorly buffed and makoto got decently nerfed. makoto is super easy to play though at least. Just bad.
  17. No! Kokonoe is B tier now you hear me! B TIER! THEY GOT RID OF ALL HER MIXUP! CS1 RACHEL ALL OVER AGAIN!!! .... And other things heard in the kokonoe forums....

Sorry mang, I didn't get home until after 3 and I was too tired to play games by then.

  21. Don't you need to autopilot something like 2a> jump to avoid getting hit by that on her wakeup. if they end up doing heavier attacks on your wakeup because you think it's useless on wakeup and never use it, then you could use it. if they end up doing jump cancelable moves constantly that's a pattern you can punish with anti airs, running out of the corner, etc. You can straight OS Mu's DP in 1.1 in a completely unpunishable, airtight, way by doing 2a>5b. You can't do that vs platinum's counter because the 5b will obviously come out and you'll get hit. Even if you can fully OS Mu's dp it again has the advantage of forcing them to OS it with a low damage starter move.
  22. most of those are either callouts or deliberate punishes. act like it is useless but it isn't.
