I'll be tagging along with shtkn and bringing a setup, I'd like to play some +R and AH3 mostly. and DJMAX but that's not a fighting game. See you all there.
The one today is, then it's going on a break until mid-June, then another break until a few weeks after EVO (July 12-14) when it will return to its bi-weekly schedule.
Also, apparently a bunch of San Diego players are coming along this time
Maybe James can give us the hookup with some Aksys person. I think we could really make something like this happen if we stay on top of things, especially since we're thinking about it early on. I can barbeque things if someone brings a grill/food (i can bring food as well of course)
The entry fee isn't really a huge concern because I'm not that big a fan of P4A so I just won't enter if there is one. I tend to come to these just to hang out with people and have a good time while playing games.
Also guymam your shenanigans are fine, I think it's fun/funny.
Usually there's at least one stick just laying around unused. You just have to ask whoever it belongs to. Usually people are okay with it!
I still can't make this one but next time. Sorry!
The entry fee can be adjusted as y'all see fit. I guess we can treat this first Xieless Rebel Up as a trial and adjust it from there.
Also, I am definitely down for Aquapazza and Melty, not sure on P4A yet.
I'm not really sure how to feel about the entry fee either-- Obviously it gives more incentive for people interested to level up and get that money, but you'll also be losing out on a lot of players in the tournament (variety, matchup experience). People enter it when it's free if they're on the fence about it or even just for the hell of it but I don't really like P4A as much as other anime games so I would likely not enter, especially considering the travel costs just for me to come hang out. I'm sure there are others that feel similarly...
You don't have to do things exactly as I say obviously, but it's something to think about. Maybe we should get some more opinions in here about this.
Another option would be to do a paid tournament every other time or something? Stuff to think about.
Absolutely down for at least one of these.
Also I can help run the stream if the others are busy since I've been learning from t-loc and jyosua lately.
Thanks for the moving help offer, but I did most of the heavier/bulkier stuff already, so all I have left to move on sunday is my computer, clothes, and kitchen stuff! If you just want to hang out and play games though, that's fine too.
I'll be looking at apartments in the area on Sunday and if all goes well I'll be ready to move back in December, but I probably wouldn't until after Christmas.
