Generally you can't air block or shield ground normals. Projectile specials are air blockable, DP(and the like) specials are air unblockable. The game doesn't want you to jump around. There's a reason there is no double jump for a universal mechanic.

You can only do one jump cancel in a combo. You cannot jump cancel a blocked normal. You can chain standard normals in any order but you can only use them once (if A normals can be canceled to itself, it's counted as one sequence, say 5B 2AA 2B) in a chain.

Uriden usually uploads their tournament video. At least the Over the World tournaments are.

The update in the system did not favor him. In the previous version he could do 9k with double IW combos. There were also changes in Assault, but I'm not too sure about that. Basically he got down once he lost the ability to score super high damage combos.

He's in a game where half screen normals are the norm. His mobility could be better given his range handicap, but that's just how he was in his own game (dash, double jump). Once he gets in though he's alright.

It's getting harder to ignore that Frenchbread developed this game. The sound effects are straight up from UNIB. -

Sprites look like made by Frenchbread. Put Baccano/DRRR in there and maybe I'll consider. -
To be honest BBB 1st IS a shitty game. Patches made it unplayable and killed BBBBase which used the Mizuumi wiki. They also had to delete some of the other more obscure wikis to make way for the new ones.

Proration system sounds almost like Melty Blood sans gravity and untechable time scaling.

On points where you can super cancel, you can Big Bang activate cancel.

Ren's shoulder bash can cancel into supers on hit only. I'm no combo video master, but what interests me are the properties of moves, like what cancels into, and what could potentially juggle after this and that. It gives you an idea on what the character is capable.

Ren amuses me because he has long pokes and a potentially scary corner lockdown game. His shoulder bash and homerun specials bring opponents to the corner easy.
