There has to be some aspect of him that is especially weak in order to balance this out. There just has to be. Regardless, I'm hype.

I think one reason so many people get caught by it is because they're trying to jump out of his pressure. There's a small window where they can't block while jumping so they just get caught.

This combo video has officially solidified Teddie as my second favorite fighting game character ever.

More fun times with 2C Fatal Counter. I still need to practice comboing Circus Bear outside of the corner and without Smart Bomb.

Evasive action is good, but I don't really trust it since you can be grabbed out of it. Especially not against Kanji.

Block, instant block and punish unsafe stuff, Teddie Decoy, Guard Cancel Attack with 50 SP. That's it really.

I don't know how much you guys have been fiddling with the Dry Ice unblockable reset in the corner yourselves, but I have been a lot in the time that I was away with no internet access. I'm about 95% sure it works every character except Kanji. The hitbox on Kintoki-Douji's item throw animation actually hits Kanji instead of whiffing which causes him to tech before anything else can be done. It's unfortunate considering he has the most life in the game, but alas.

5B into sweep is good when spaced correctly. If you're too close a lot of what he does is kind of unsafe in my experience.

I dunno about this. SB.Teddievision is seriously one of if not his best skill in my experience. Comes out fast, has a really high hitbox and tracks the opponent anywhere they are on the screen. When I was playing the Teddie vs. Naoto match up, at the start of the match I started abusing the 20SP gained from Dr. Salt NEO (item #2) and instant blocking Naoto's shots to build the 25SP for SB.Teddievision so I could find a hole in her zoning and make my way in to kill her. SB.Puppeteddie puts the opponent in Berserk and is the key to the Dry Ice unblockable reset using his All Out Attack. Sure the reset requires meter and a specific item, but I still feel it's something that'll prove to be incredibly strong. At the same time tho', I do understand what they mean. I'm not sure what the advantages are from using SB.Bearscrew and I recall reading that SB.Bear Warp has some invincibility but I don't know how much, how useful it is, or even if that's even true anymore. SB.2D Teddie? No idea. It's something I need to test when I get my own personal copy today. So yeah, in most situations it's probably best to build that next 25SP and go for the Tomahawk as it extends any combo and does more damage, but I wouldn't say that they aren't worth keeping in mind.

It doesn't surprise me at all. I didn't want to be right but I was. Brand new region, brand new story arc, brand new characters.

Three brand new characters. None of them are Jubei and none of them are ones I really care for based on design and what I've seen. Sad.

5AA 5B IAD j.A 2B j.A j.A j.B / j.236A is better since it does a bit more damage and pushes them closer to the corner where Teddie gets all his best stuff. There are combos that end in Rage and Fear already.

One of the main things that kind of bugs me is that when you want to do a corner combo you have to push the character all the way to one end of the stage. Having an option to start in a specific area of the screen would be nice for one thing. Also if you set your meter down to zero and start a combo, if you end or drop the combo you just keep that meter. It doesn't reset to zero. Same thing if you set it to 50, 25 or any other number. Just because I think BB's netcode has room for improvement doesn't necessarily mean that I have bad internet. This too.

The only characters that I'd say are better than Naoto are Mitsuru, Chie and Narukami. She's either just as good or better than everyone else. If you think Naoto's worse than Teddie then I'm guessing you haven't been paying attention to him that much. He struggles against everyone. -
I wouldn't worry about Zasalamel showing up. His fighting style is entirely unique and he's basically implicated as immortal anyways (judging from his Soul IV ending). There are still at least six more characters left to show.
