    [AC+R] News & Gameplay Discussion

So glad I got to meet Kami-chan at WGC. The whole experience actually ended up rekindling my fire for GG after having put it aside for VF. Haven't been following R much but I wonder if he's been playing that, he seemed busy with SCV. Anyway:

It's 'awful' for a reason; even though there are some practical uses for it the idea is that you get rid of it so you get access to the fast shuriken...if he had the fast shuriken all the time it could be problematic.

Sorry to bother you guys if this has been asked already, but does the JP version of this game have English language options? Only recently became interested in this game but my PS3 is Japanese.

Guilty Gear XX AC tutorial videos!

^Thanks. Just letting you guys know 2nd part is done: Vimeo (original version): http://vimeo.com/12183995 Youtube (weeaboo version because of YT copyright nonsense): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC2O1-vDitQ I don't care too much about the tutorial anymore, since I'm kinda done with fighting games and such. I may finish it off, may not. Though if I do finish it, I highly doubt I'll it together into a pro package unless I gain some magical editing skills or someone wants to do it for me.

Jonio is good, but he's abit too inconsistent for me to rate him up there.

There were also a batch of a-cho Omito vids not too far back where he was going crazy. Either way, there's a nice amount of great Johnny players playing regularly now (MK, Omito, Satou, REID is Kid? and I think I'm forgetting one more).

Yeah but I need to split the video's so that they're under 10 minutes, and windows movie maker doesn't read FLV files Thanks for the link. Axel: Sure, thanks! I generally think people would be content with hearing the commentator announce the names, but labeling does help.

    Guilty Gear Videos on YouTube

I'm starting to upload the horde's of new video's that keep popping up on Nico here: http://www.youtube.com/user/abysmalmonkey Also, does anyone know of a good (non web based) converter application? The one I have doesn't recognise flv's as a valid input format and some nico vids download as straight up flv's.

Guilty Gear XX AC tutorial videos!

Oh yeah I was considering that, but I didn't know if it was wise to ramble on too much. GG is just a hard game to write a comprehensive tutorial for and keep simple. There so many little details to include and so many specifics making generalization hard etc. Hopefully I'll be able to do it as well as possible. This video is for all the beginners, mainly from other scenes, who keep claiming the game is too hard to learn and so on. The scene here is on my mind most of the time because well, it's the scene I know best if you know what I mean. All everyone wants to do here is play SFIV (I know it can be like this elsewhere too but trust me it's worse here), and the mentality as of late is way different than it was back in the day where people would play and learn anything. So I don't want things to be too daunting, but at the same time keep things interesting; thus I have to maintain a certain pace with the tutorial.
