So Xrd is an official tournament but not AC+R. Anyone interested in a side tournament? Anyone already decided they're running a side tournament?

^That. Sol's also pretty obvious with what he's trying to do, so you kinda need to vary your approaches and fake people out a lot. If you just keep running in and attacking or airdashing in honestly you'll get poked by the longer normals most of the cast has. Basic examples would be faking out your approach by running up and airdashing away, or doing neutral jump j.p before airdashing or double jumping forward. Gunflame YRC is also huge and ridiculous for helping you approach safely. Learn it and love it when it opens up a million new options for you.

So we know GG is running for sure, and we have great details on the whole shebang. But what about Blazblue? I've got a couple friends who might be interested in that. Is anyone running it for sure yet?

I didn't mean for it to sound that way, I know Ghaleon's all about the old-school stuff. My bad? The "if anything" was simply in reference to "we need people who want to play these games if they're gonna be played" and so far there hasn't been a huge response from the community just yet voicing interest. We've got like 10 people interested in either game, and half of those still aren't confirmed to be coming.

It'll be a side tourney, if anything. Ghaleon and co. aren't focusing on games like GG/BB as main events since they'd just rather make the big games...bigger. If you're interested in BB just register as a spectator or something and play in the BB tourney when it goes down.

I'll just throw the ol' PS2 and AC disc in my backpack, then. Whether it'll be needed or not, doesn't hurt to be prepared!

Hulks st.H having 3 points of armor just makes me giggle with glee.

It might if the Akuma had lvl 1 or 2 X-Factor, or if I used characters with decent health (using Zero/Dormammu/Wolverine) but even with constant AG through the beams they just eat my guys alive. When I'm sitting there like a buffoon blocking 3-4 straight it only gets worse. Pretty shameful, really.

My brain is completely confounded when it comes to Akuma's Tatsu. With plenty of meter and X-Factor players just chip me to death through Tatsu/Beam again and again. There's gotta be something I'm missing. The question is...WHAT?

Wow...just got annihilated by a really good Chun player. Anyone have advice for handling her psychotic rushdown? All I ever really managed was using special on the ground to anti-air her, but that never really lead to solid damage and she was back on me before I could even think.

Just climbed back into training mode with Sol for the first time in forever. Wondering if anyone has tips for mastering SW loops off a BR RC? On some characters I can be pretty successful landing a few reps, but on others it's much more difficult. Definitely feeling rusty right now...too much Marvel... :-/
