    [Xrd] Elphelt Video Thread

    Made a combo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DooK7h5Vtd8&feature=youtu.be
  5. Eh I'm sure if you just put in some more practice it'll become intuitive for you. I can usually tell whether my opponent is crouching or standing by the time I do c.S > f.S in my combos.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHOEKWhPfMc I posted one for you.
  7. Sooo I was working on transcription stuff, but then I realized Magaki was way ahead of me. ;-; Heres my messy yet to be organized doc anyway. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RMvS-Jaj6pIVisWDE8L_lPqffdCa5FguBFynFs9zTPE/edit?usp=sharing
  8. SG~X notation would look nice IMO.

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Gameplay Discussion

mmmmm ive been itching for some japanese BBCP Noel play, but I don't know who to watch. Any suggestions?
  11. Aw geez, I don't check back here in like half a month and its an explosion of new tech. Well gotta play catchup ;_;. Hopefully ill have something new to contribute as well.
  12. Well you dont really need the 2C in that combo. You can kill without it.
  13. Actually I did a study on combos off of 5D a while ago, and this was one of the combos I came up with. Genereally what accounts for here is width of the character. I found that this combo is fairly easy on Labrys, Aigis, Yukiko, and Teddie. Theres some others but I didnt list them in my notes. CH obviously makes this combo 100x easier. The full combo is something like this: 5D~D > 665C > 236B~D > 665C > IAD j.BC > 5C > 236A~D (3519 Damage, +23 Meter) Also since I finished studying this yestuarday, heres my results off linking 665C after 236B from various confirms: I am only going to list the confirms that allowed me to get the 665C, my analysis included the chains which would allow for 236B to confirm but unless you guys want that, I wont bother posting. Labrys/Shadow Labrys: Nothing works on her. Mitsuru: 5B5C, 5A5C, 2B5C, 662A5B5C. Aigis: 5C, 5B5C, 5A5C, 2B5C, 665C, 665A5B5C, 662A2B5C, 665A5C, 662B5C, 662A5B5C, 662A2B5C Naoto: Nothing works on her. Yukiko: 5C, 5B5C, 5A5C, 2B5C, 665C, 665B5C, 665A5B5C, 665A2B5C, 665A5C, 662A5B5C Yu: 5B5C, 5A5C, 5A5B5C, 662A2B5C, 665A2B5C Elizabeth: 5C, 5B5C, 5A5C, 2B5C, 665C, 665A5B5C, 665A5C, 662B5C, 662A5B5C, 662A2B5C Yosuke: 5C, 5B5C, 5A5C, 2B5C, 665C, 665A5B5C, 665A5C, 662B5C, 662A5B5C, 662A2B5C Chie: Nothing works on her. Kanji: Nothing works on him. However his hitbox allows him to be hit by 236B from almost any confirm, just not the follow up 5C Teddie: 5B5C, 2B5C, 662A5B5C, 662A2B5C, 665A2B5C Akihiko: 5B5C, 2B5C, 662A2B5C, 665A2B5C Notes: -General rule of thumb here is that if a character is shorter than Naoto or the same height (in terms of their standing hurtbox), then they wont get hit by 665C. -Sometimes dashing chains affects the distance of how far they will end up after 236B as opposed to standing chains, sometimes its too far and you cant connect. -Dashing chains make it easier to combo into 236B of course. Some of them even allow to follow up. -All data was collected off of the position on the screen from P1 side with P1 cornered. -If I couldnt get the link after 10 tries I assumed it just didnt work. -Dashing normals had a good run before normals were inputted.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzbsV0u77g0&feature=BFa&list=UU-FSiPF0Xw9abuMtndiQ7bw I made a Naoto FC Critical Shot combo from Midscreen from what I saw someone do at SJ (I think it was Omniscythe). Its 150 SP, but its a great troll combo.
  15. Allright guys, so sometimes we might end up doing an SMP loop that we cant remember the no. of reps to. When do you guys usually stop? If I started from something like 5A/Grab/2AB I try to ball park around 5-8, and try to aim for 10 for most other confirms.
  16. Oh right, when I got home yestaurday I found a pretty decent combo off a Fatal air throw. Jump air grab, j.C, 665C, 236B, 5C, 2[c], 5C, IAD j.B,C, 5C, 236A~D. 4.2K, 31 Meter build.
  17. Wait x8? I can only get like 5 236Bs max. Is this like a Fatal combo or something?
  18. On the subject of Mute SMP loops, I looked back and noticed that Kamoihito had one in one of his videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tWrSGJ2TLA&feature=BFa&list=PLC53E3ED9C6BFEC30 2:56
  19. Holding D after 236B will help cancel the stance faster, and as soon as she cocks her gun back, begin dashing. Keep in mind that the IAD combos are character specific in some cases. So a lot of time youll end up missing 5C because the hitboxes simply wont agree. Of course if you start with the enemy airborne its a lot easier, so try to focus on landing these more often.
  20. Aw man... I was going to post a 5D combo but someone beat me to it D: Oh well heres the version ive been using: 5D > 5C > 236236D > 214D > 2B > 5B > 236A~D > (Megido hits) > 2[C] > 5C > IAD j.BC > 5C > 236B~D x n (50 Meter, Death)
  21. Oh yeah ive totally been doing that hehe. After the last 236B, I set up a D Megido and then air throw them into it for a combo.
  22. Ive been using: 236B (FC) > OMB > 5C > 2[C] > 66 > 2B > 5C > 2[C] > 66 > 5B > 5C > 2[C] > 5C > IAD j.BC > 5C > IAD j.BC > 5C > 236A For about 5237. ------------ Anyways heres a corner combo that may have already been found(?). It builds meter well and actually does more damage than the standard IAD combo. 5BC > 236B > walk back a little > 5AAA > 5AAC > 236A~BBBBB (40 Meter, 3161, 1 Skull) Skip the B shots if you want a better oki setup. -------------- P.S Has anyone figured out a meterless SMP Loop yet? Starting from a normal confirm?
  23. Why not just do 5AA, 5C instead? It works so nicely lol.
