    [P4AU] Tohru Adachi Combo Thread

Information If you'd like to contribute, please feel free to do so! Just post the combos you created, but please write them properly. If you are unsure on how to write combos properly, then read the wiki page here. Make sure to read the Notation Used section in this post so that you understand the specific notations used for CHARACTER. Also refrain from using move names and abbreviations. Please refrain from going off topic in this thread. This thread is for posting of combos only. Only the most optimal combos will be listed in this thread. Combos marked with Adachi's face () are the ones you should prioritize learning, in my opinion. If you are Midscreen, 236236CD/A/AB will do if you're not in awakening. If you have awakening, you can do A or SB Mandala. If you are in the corner, you can add J2.D or you can land at the same time J2.C slams them on the ground and do 236BB> Super, or 236AB>A>Ghastly Wail. The midscreen followup also works here. It's very important to know a good 2B combo. 2B>whiff J.C>5B>2C>hop J.C>5B>2B>J2.C 2B>whiff J.C>5B>2C>hop J.C>5C>j.B>j.A>j.B>jump cancel>j.B>j.2C 2B>whiff J.C>5B>2C>hop J.C>5C>iAd j.B>J2.C>D>short hop J.C>5C>214A. 2B>whiff J.C>5B>2C>hop J.C>5C>iAd j.B>J2.C>D>short hop J.C>5C>j.B>jump cancel>j.B>J.C These last two combos are extremely powerful but harder to do. They're based around Adachi being able to do something similar to Narukami and Minazuki (in 2.0) with his J2.C. If you press 2D right after J2.C while being close to the ground, Adachi will land and cancel the J2.D. This allows you to land, do hop J.C and continue the combo. It's a rather powerful juggle. If you're having trouble understanding how to do these combos, check this video here For more powerful combos with the same concept, please watch this video Skill Starter - System Starter All Out Attack: AoA~C>j.B>j.A>j.B>j.2C (0 Meter, 2983 Damage) AoA~C>j.B>j.A>j.B>j.c>j.B>j.A>j.B>j.2C (0 meter, 3139 damage) Short Hop: [CO] 66 Short Hop>Air Turn j.B>665B>5C(4)>2AB>214A (0 meter, 2009 damage) [CO] 66 Short Hop>Air Turn j.B>665B>5C>2AB>214AB>665B>2C>2AC>j.C>5B>2B>j.2C>214B (25 meter, 3404 damage) [CO] 66 Short Hop>Air Turn j.B>665B>5C>2AB>214AB>665B>2C>2AC>j.C>5B>2B>j.2C>214214A (75 meter, 4205 damage) [CO] 66 Short Hop>Air Turn j.B>665B>5C>2AB>236236B>665B>2C>2AC>j.C>5B>2B>j.2C>214214A (100 meter, 4959 damage) SP Skill Starter Megidola (214C/D . Ask a question, get an answer! If you see a question you're knowledgeable about feel free to share. If you are not sure you're qualified to answer something please do not provide answers, we don't want people learning the wrong things here. Most of the following will be explained assuming you know basic dustloop notation. If you know what 236B or 214C mean, you’re good to go. If you don’t, please visit this page: http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Notation Frequently Asked Questions: “What is the tennis/hop route and how do I do it?” "Any easy ways of clearing Challenge 25?" “How do you make Magatsu Izanagi do Mandala from fullscreen?” “I’ve seen people use tackle after a hop J.C and causing a slide instead of the grab. How do I do it?” “There are times when I can do a J2.D as ender, but the same combo will drop other times. Why is this?" Why does Ghastly Wail not hit in my combo? I’m sure the claws hit the opponent!” More to be added.

Yeah, a lot of the adjustments you mention I do make as the set goes on, we take it all the way to the last game. The only thing you mentioned that I disagree with is using Heat Riser when I have a crouching confirm. The damage on a CO is solid even meterless, as you'll notice I only HR on a CO confirm if the additional damage would kill or to maximize damage before awakening. Otherwise I save the meter for a more useful situation, like extending the combo on a standing confirm instead of having to let it end at 5C. Other then that all I can say is try to finish the videos before posting so you can get the full scope of the plays you want to critique. Thanks for taking the time to watch and drop your opinions! Looking forward to any other ones after you finish watching. I promise it gets pretty exciting later on.

Thank you as well. I haven't had an extended set with Aigis in Ultimax so it was a good learning experience for me too! I'll be getting the whole set uploaded to YouTube, I'll post the link here and in the Adachi critique thread once it's ready. We should get more games in again sometime! It went down to the wire. Edit: Video is ready.

Fear them so the throw will be fatal and you'll have slightly more time to confirm everything else in the combo due to the nature of FC's.

I think he actually meant how to do the piece of BnB where you knock the opponent back towards you with j.C. The way to make this happen is to short hop cancel the first hit of 2C (with 2AC) and then press C afterwards.

Obviously we have no official way of discerning if that is Heat Riser or not and what it does. But chances are good it is Heat Riser which means it probably buffs you when you connect with it hence the little Adachi face above the SP bar. If it functions like the game it should buff your damage, decrease the damage you take, and give you move speed of some sort.
