  2. This thread has all the makings of an excellent idea! Mad props Circuitous, I, and I should hope all others, will do our part to make it a success. (which in my case, easily enough, equates to simply posting responsibly!) So with Teru's heat gain do y'all think his astral wil be actually practical in setups? It'd be increda-hype if there were gameplans revolving around it.

    Right so what I'm saying is that they are already like that. Having to never be caught, and never letting the opponent get a chance to attack. By being this way they are all ready predisposed to creating situations where they will not have to get hit or guard hits. With terrible defensive options Tao and Valk are arguably just as dead if they were blocking an opponent not intent on stealing their meter. Other characters without meterless defense generally can't make up for that flaw by always pressing their offense or relying on their maneuverability. So I still believe Tao and Valk aren't going to be completely sunk by meter drain.

    I've been told though that Valk and Tao are more reliant on their evasiveness, momentum, and mobility than they ever were for meter in regard for their defense... It stands to reason that out of all the characters that need meter for defensive options, that they would still be the best fit for the fight.

    If we are correct in assuming green is the neutral color (concerning bit gauge), then the initial belief that the uppercut robo fist becomes the rocket robo fist, while being pushed or pulled forward from Kokonoe, goes right out the window. In the scans both of those moves are done while the aforementioned gauge is green. I would not be opposed to thinking that the bits could slow/speed up the rocket powered fist and projectiles like it. I could see the slowed rocket punch being used in Oki, and perhaps the fast version would get more damage or reach further to continue a combo that had sent the opponent beyond your normal reach.

    I want to know about these situations ~>(enemy) >pull mech< and <pushmech> ~>(enemy) I bet with the enemy being pushed toward you midscreen it kinda be like being in a corner, or being Carl with his CON situations.

    I think the Icons are which... um... device(?) she has out the bar does't seem to be affected by the gun's usage so I think it has gotta be for those devices. something like "The D button activates all devices that are out, but only so long as she has some bar to spend"

    What got -you- into BlazBlue?

    It was a dark time in my life. It was some time after Brawl and Twilight Princess came out for the Wii, when it was beginning to become clear that Nintendo had no intention of making another good game. Ever. I remember clearly the moment all of my illusions about the matter dissipated, I was in my local gamestop searching desperately for entertainment of any kind. That's when I saw the worst had come to pass. On the shelf there were twelve different or so Dora the Explorer titles surrounding what I knew to be the only Legend of Zelda game available to the Wii. In the following days my friend showed me this one particular youtube series called "Death Battles" and then we got to this particular episode... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7muX233Jwzk I remembered thinking, "Heh this character sounds hilarious" then "holy sh-- did she just fatality that one Marvel vs. Capcom catgirl?" Later I looked up the game then decided to try it out.

    Wasn't the whole point of wolf form the mobility? When playing Valk, I always thought of his wolf walk forward as his dash. Also he's got tons of fun stuff that you can do with his command dash in wolf mode, like: w.9C->5D. which turns him into back to normal mid command dash and keeps his momentum for some awesome jump in stuff (and it barely costs any wolf gauge to do.)

    I was under the impression that the charges would take place during stances, and if that is indeed the case, a different move will prolly be available in said stance to counter some rush in attempts. Even if that is not the case I wonder if Kagura could take his defensive stances to buffer his charge attacks, then CANCEL the stance and execute the attack... Whatever the case is I imagine the devs accounted for the game's speed while making this character.

    There is no way that Azrael could be last. Who else here can do three consecutive divekicks meterless? No one else has the extreme manliness required for the job.

    I can see it being useful if you couldn't burst until after you took all of that damage. Ie: you just ate a overdrive combo yourself, you messed up and got hit by a rogue shippu, or you just now got your burst back ether by co-incidence or by playing runaway (aka Hazama playing defensively.) It's still situational as all get out though, but it's still good to have in your back pocket just in case situation does come to pass, and you want to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a most trolltastic way.

Personally I don't think they would make an exception for haku, the whole Idea of stealing makes sense if you view it like this: Ragna steals health by taking it out of the opponents vitality, what if Terumi did something more akin to that? I can easily see the amount of meter "taken" being proportionate to how much damage is being dealt to the enemy and how many mind eater attacks were in the combo. In a way the meter is being stolen from their health bar. My reason for thinking this is firstly because the drive name Mind eater is similar to Ragna's soul eater, and also because I don't believe haku should or would get the only free pass out of a meter stealing drive. still this is all conjecture at this point

    I hope they don't do any of this, and luckily I don't think they will. Of course he will be useless w/o meter, but he has already been confirmed to get roughly 75+ heat easily in a 4 hit braindead combo so not having meter will likely not be a problem. (he can get 35 heat from his 5D alone. unless I'm mistaken)

    from looking at that brief gameplay from BBradio it seems Terumi doesn't steal gauge, (from Haku at least.) I don't think it'd be any different for any of his other victims so I think he just gets an absurd amount of meter from his drive.

    I know I'm late to the party but do any of you think Terumi will get something crazy (broken) like a rapid cancel loop? possibly in the corner? It'd be amazing (fraudulent) if he could loop like 4 or 5 moves and build enough gauge to RC then lather, rinse, repeat.

    All depends on your definition of "short." That said there's always Haku-men who can generally manage to keep his combos short and devastating. In CSE a guy could get away with 7500 damage in four hits (provided corner, mugen, a pinch of fairy dust, and a metric ton of fraudulence.) that said generally long combos are a must for victory, but hey, at least it's not UNIB levels of crazy long combos.
