    Honestly I feel like Axl is the character for someone who is okay with the depth being entirely in the neutral and playing against people's tendencies and playstyles. Yeah, there's not much to him in tech, but I really enjoy using his capabilities to dominate a match or turn the tide of a difficult round. If you want to learn more technical things, playing around with other characters isn't a bad idea, but for me I don't find as much fun in other characters.

    I think you're less likely to get bopped in the middle of it now but you still don't want to do it unless you have a knockdown of some sort, and really in the venom matchup I don't like being far away from him anyway. That rensen yrc tho.

    Just gonna dump this here: if you jam yourself all the way in the corner and do 5K-2D-rensen hold up you can then link 5P with somewhat tight but not too tight timing. tested it on sol, ky, millia, and pot, no idea about everyone else. The fact that you can meterless that way is interesting to look at and the combo itself is useful if you land a 6h rc. maybe something else can link it better? also you can RC rashousen both before and after the explosion. if you do it before they're on the ground all tied up, and afterwards you get a juggle.

    Can someone elaborate on the 3C > 214D~B xx dash 5A timings? Do I need to do the 214D~B (or 66B) asap or should I delay it some? This is what I'm having the absolute most trouble with.

    Yeah it looks like getting an asia account was the trick. Apparently I didn't notice when I ordered from play-asia that the region was actually asia instead of japan. The back of the box confirmed it, it says asia.playstation.com in the PSN box on the back cover. Edit: Also my code worked with the asia account so that's confirmation.

    update on guilty gear side tournament: plenty of people might have noticed by now but we're doing guilty casuals in the anime room all weekend. Sunday around 1 pm will be the tournament, should have plenty of people, I had a list with like over 32 names.
