    [P4AU] Aigis General Gameplay Discussion

Ummm, no offense or anything, but aren't you practically asking how to do everything?

    [P4AU] Aigis Q&A Thread

Ah, k. So I really just have to change up my j.2B timing. Thanks Anne~ For the j.B>j.BC stuff, I guess it's mostly because I'm using unoptimal corner stuff right now (not quite on mortar loops yet). When testing on Yu, he gets caught by the lower end of j.C, whereas the ShoBros donn't, most likely because I launched with 5B a tad too late.

    [P4AU] Aigis Q&A Thread

Harro gaiz~ I hope it's not incredibly late to get in the scene at this time, but eh, better late than never. Anyhow, I'm a newcomer to the P4 side of Dustloop, and have been grinding the basics in the lab for awhile now. However, one thing that comes to mind is Minazuki's hitbox. The other day, I just got her standard 5AA>Mode Change Bnb down, but it doesn't seem to work on either of the Sho Bros unless I swap 2B out with 2A. Is this execution error, or is there something up with their hitboxes? Same thing also happens with j.B>jc>j.BC juggles. unless the height is specific, the j.C tends to whiff. I have no issues thus far with the other characters.
  4. YOU'RE BACK :D AND SO AM I. Now how do you get netplay to work on campus...

Honestly, I have no idea. Haven't kept up with the latest news like I used to. However, from the brief amount of information that I've read: Mu-12 seems to have received some nerfs that a lot of Mu players are unhappy about. 2.0 Valkenhayn is worse than 1.0 Valk, but better than 1.1 Valk. Rachel received some sort of nerf to her IOHs? Hazama no clue. So yeah, I'm definitely out of the loop this time around. Just play whoever you like best.

Also, for the love of all that is holy, change that damn Dustloop avatar.

Why learn an instrument when you can play fighting games?

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Q&A Thread

My current dilemna isn't ending the string on 5B, it's the fact that if the 5B gets insta-blocked, they can mash out of 5C/2C.

I don't drop this often, but I've seen what Sachi means. If you delay pretty much anything after the 6C, it can cause this to happen, especially if the combo's been going for awhile. For some reason though, I've seen this happen most often against Bullet.
  7. I see you have stepped into the world of VNs for quite a while now. Why did you not consult me sooner.

Tsukihime is getting remade soon. And there's a fighting game for it called Melty Blood. It's actually the main fighting game I'm attempting to introduce to our area right now.

I haven't touched Tsukihime yet since I'm slowly going down my list. How many/which VN's have you read?

Mostly the ones you've already read, including a few indie ones like Katawa Shoujo and Deardrops.

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Q&A Thread

Should I expect myself to get blown up if the 5B is insta-blocked though? I'm quite new to the CP scene, and her normals look a lot more pathetic now. Not sure what's airtight and what's not. Also, back in my "cuddle in corner and watch CP loketest" days, I saw people dash cancel 22B oki into crossups or whatnot. At least, that's what I think I saw. But after checking the data, it seems this has no longer been possible for awhile. What exactly does the "oki" part of our 22B oki look like now?

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Combo Thread (Work In Progress)

Pardon my ignorance, but do you actually mean 3C > 665B > 5C and d.6B > 66C > 22B? I mean, why not just 3C>22C~66 and how does d.6B link into 6C? Shouldn't the Drive string end first?

[CP] Noel Vermillion - Combo Thread (Work In Progress)

EDIT: Further testing rendered original post unoptimal/obsolete. I don't know how to delete posts on new Dustloop either.
  11. Wow, it's been what, a year since I last played BB? Well, with the localization coming out, I guess I'm hopping back on again. I tried Extend again just to see how much I remember, but I keep dropping 2Cs into 3Cs on stick. Welp. Baby steps. Baby steps.

  12. They didn't put it on the inside. They put it on the outside. I moved it inside in fear of a certain authority figure walking by. My mom would flip if I moved her precious TV from the living room. \

  13. I didn't. This is the anti-anime town. Nobody knows what Play-Asia is. TBH, I've gotten so rusty it's not even funny. I guess I'm just waiting for a copy of CP to fall out of the skies and into my hands before I'm motivated enough to start practicing again. That, or somehow moving the TV downstairs into my room. When I do come back, I'm going to do the right thing and main Noel for real this time, just too adorable to pass up. Speaking of which, what I DID get for my birthday: http://postimg.org/image/5wfiyah5p/

  14. Very rarely nowadays. I've mostly been on the Melty Blood scene. Waiting for CP and stuffz.

  15. I'm pretty sure the ol' Jayoku still works. I think the new launch now however is 3C>214D~B>5A>j.CxN>stuff

  16. You can actually j.C even more in CP. Just remember to mash j.Cx4 and not j.Cx5. Relaunch with 5C.

  17. I changed my mind. Tell me where you live so I can disable your C button. Not like you need it. You have crossups.

  18. Have fun with your new PS3. I'll be learning stick in the meantime.

    [CSE] PSN Match Finder/GG Thread

Of what game? CP? If you mean Extend, Ebay all the way.
  20. We lost the PSN thread. To the Vita thread we all go.

  21. It means to do an aerial move on the ground. For Hazama, that means j.214B can be done on the ground by inputting 2147B. However, If you're referring to Hazama's loop, that is performed by inputting 8214B. So in other words, 5C (delay)>2C (hold 8, then quickly rush 214)>B.

  22. I think it's an illusion of understanding the thought process that went behind it. When I get a FC 4D though, people treat it as if it was a braindead reversal into huge damage, which it is in it's own way. The thing is, I do the exact same thing with Hazama's Rising Fang and get away relatively blame-free, sometimes even getting praised for a good call-out. Why? I use the exact same process when using both moves. They insist that being hit with Rising Fang was a reactionary reversal on my part, as opposed to praying and mashing 4D regardless of what's happening on-screen. This is a generalization of how most discussions I've had with opponents went after the initial match: "Rising Fang doesn't lead into fat damage, 4D does." - Dude, I just did an easy 6~7k midscreen on you off a CH Rising Fang. I'm pretty sure you're in trouble regardless which one you get hit by. "That Hazama combo was hard. Noel's is braindead." - Sigh. Are we really discussing this? "You can't even punish 4D on block. It moves her hitbox backward." - C'mon, you have 8 free frames to hit her/get away afterwards. It's nothing compared to Rising Fang's OP knockback. "Anything you do to bait out wakeup 4D gets beaten out by wakeup 2D. This 50/50 is unfair." - Haku 5C, Haz 5C, Valk 2C, etc. And guess what? Not only do these moves beat out both, you'll be dead afterwards if you don't burst. These are P1 100 starters we're talking about here. On the other hand, Rising Fang doesn't even give a damn about highs or lows. "Why should I need infinite matchup knowledge to deal with a scrub character?" - And this, is what goes through every (technical) Noel hater's mind.
