    Cause I didn't see a CPX Q&A thread I'm gonna ask my question here. So is there a specific height or maybe character specific ways for 6A anti air to combo into 6B?

    This is something I can ask in either the Lambda or Nu boards but what are the difference between them as far as tools and normals go? I know roughly that Nu doesn't mode change anymore cause of Lambda being a character again.

    This is always a weird thing with her, she plays a decent fireball footsie ground game and her rush down is alright in NM. 5B is a good long range normal but you wanna be careful with using it to much cause its active + recovery time makes it really easy for people to airdash in on you. Stock gathering and when to switch modes isn't so textbook in my experience, its pretty common to switch modes after an Aegis Blade ender which keeps your opponent close and are your advantage slightly. There are time where you may have to go in with 4 or less stocks to get the momentum again, don't forget there are mode change combos with using RC. Anti airing I usually will still use Aegis blade when people airdash in on me cause I find the other one will miss if they dash in deep enough, jump ins I do use Aegis blade as well, just is a matter of reacting as quick as you can or you can try jump back jA. Aegis blade as an anti air is a little risky to use like you said but keep in mind that if people like to do empty jumps Aegis blade will be blocked so using 623B is good too I would learn the spacing on it. Off of jBCD it is a safe jump set up so that is an option. 623C ender as I mentioned in the above part does put the situation back in neutral at your favor slightly. So I have a question, do we know how long the invincibility of Aegis Blade cancel lasts? I've been in the lab with it and I dunno if its cause some moves like Ragna's DP is just active for a long enough time for me to get hit or if I'm timing it wrong

    It's about the same execution wise, the decision making is a little easier on the defensive end thanks to having a DP.

    He didn't tell me the specifics of who he was playing against, he also told me he might of messed his barrier input up but I figured I'd ask anyway cause I was curious too.

    So a friend asked me if there was any start up time on barrier, from what he told me he got chipped out when he did wake up barrier, I didn't see anything on it framedata wise so was wondering if anyone knows.

    Hmm, I guess I need to think more while I play matches, rather then think about it after the match. I'll have to implement some of this thought process into the way I play. Thanks for that.

    Anyone have tips of bait bursts and what to do against an opponent that's looking to bait one as well? I generally know the whole use jump cancelable normals and RC method of baiting but I'm looking for more of the lines of the thought process that goes into baiting one. A guy I play against locally a lot knows my burst patterns and with him playing a character like Azrael he pretty much baits one with 5B or Growler and I usually feel stupid about my decision. I can't seem to pick up on people's burst habits unless I set up a situation where I think they might burst oppose to looking at how they burst and think about why they bursted then.

    So mortar loop question, so when doing 5aaaa 214A jAB 214A 2AC x2 if they are teching out of the second 214A (after jAB) am I inputting 214A too slow? Also the transcript in the earlier post for it has a typo where it's jAC instead of j2AC got me confused when I was trying the combo out.
  14. So questions about melee speed and priority. So when melee moves are mentioned to have high priority, what does that exactly mean when you are using a melee move that may have high priority but slow in terms of speed and are being approached by a melee with high speed but lower priority? I'm having a bit of a confusing time understanding how priority works in this game, I've had a few cases where I seem someone coming at me with a melee and try to counter it with one with a move with high priority, though I imagine the fact I had to turn around also may have played a part in it but either way still confused on the subject.
  15. So when I look at a suit's melee move set, what would be the defining trait(s) the move is cut proof?
  16. So I don't think I understand what it means to play the back role in this game even though I get what it means on paper, is there any suit's you guys would recommend that are good back units? I wanna watch some vids to see how people like to approach playing in the back based on the suggestions.

    I have a lot of times where I can't airthrow my opponent just cause they coming in with a fast jumping normal or a series of them. /: So by dashing under, is the idea basically just to avoid getting pressured?

    So this is a bit of an odd question about the neutral in this game, I've been running into situations where it feels like its impossible to approach with some character's swing normals around during any kind of air movement (so things like after a back air dash or after a double jump) and this wall sometimes gets created and usually gets well mixed in with not being able to approach from air to ground either. In situations like these I can't get my opponent to get scared an attempts to go air to air with them usually ends badly for me and my chances to go for air throws get stuffed cause I'm taking a normal to the face. -_- I'm also having trouble throw teching in this game, my throw tech game used to be pretty spot on but I've been running into a lot of TRM from using the A+B+C OS and it kills me that I can't tech as well as I'd like nor can I really open people up with throws cause I'm getting throw teched super easy and not sure how to cause a TRM myself. I've heard before its possible to react to throw techs but my reaction time has kinda diminished these days sadly /:

    I got some questions with anti airing with Noel, I know 6A on paper is her go to anti air but a lot of times I can't seem to use this like some anti airs that hit a little more vertical, I know this is more of the lines of "its mostly about getting the spacing" but there are some angles where some people approach from the air that I can't seem to use 6A for, generally I know this is pretty good at stopping low air dashes and some jump is but when it comes to situations where its pretty above her head I can't seem to find the right moves to stop a lot of these approaches. So besides 6A what are some other anti air options Noel can use?

    So I got a couple of questions with combos that use Ikutatchi, of off like 6C during combos like 3C RC 5C 6C or 6B 6C, I have some instances where when I try to backdash I can't get Mu to cross back and I just end up backdashing into my opponent, this doesn't happen when I practice in training mode but I've had it happen during matches, so what was I doing wrong for Mu now to be able to cross back? My other question is after 6C Ikutactchi when I do micro dash 3C to IAD jB jC j2C, I usually have a hard time getting them to hit, some instances I get jB and jC to hit and get 2C cause I already landed, should I be hitting jB as I IAD or what is it I need to do? The IAD part I can do, just hitting them afterwards is my problem.

    So during a local session today, during my distortion drive reversals, I see like the first few starting animations of my opponents normal and he some how was able to barrier block this claiming he had done a kara barrier. Though he claims you can do this during throw also but my question is if it really is possible to kara barrier in situations like it cause its the first time I've heard of it and it was messing with my reversal game quite a bit.

    Alright thanks for the inputs guys, 5D is doing wonders and doing jC with in mind as an anti air helped a lot too. Still gotta work on the hotaru and 2C ranges but I'll be working on that.
