Judging from the scan he does have the "take a hit" move Pachi mentioned when he talked about each character in the poll. Looks like the move can be followed up in two ways. Though that's just my guess. I never played Overture, but from the sounds of Pachi, it seems like he wanted Raven to have a similar playstyle to his Overture counterpart.

Yeah that's the really issue. It would suck to buy the European version and be stuck on some old patch, like what happened with the European version of Sign. I will probably get the Japanese version of the game either way, just to be safe.

Good news. The lobbies look like those in BBCP and Persona with the arcade cabinets. I didn't see the point of the avatar lobbies in Sign so this looks promising. I guess most people are betting on Raven being the sixth character, but who knows, perhaps Arcsys will surprise us.

It only took 1 year I really do hope the wait for a PC version of Revelator won't be as long, but at least Arcsys appears to be improving in this regard.

Nice to see, even if it's only sign. It would be amazing if Arc System Works decided to bring Revelator to PC close to the console release date. Unfortunately that doesn't seem very likely. I guess PC will be one version behind forever.

My mistake. I'm a European as well, so I'm well aware how we tend to get shafted. It's been long since I gave up and just started importing everything. It sure is nice that the gap between arcades and consoles is shrinking. Hopefully this is a trend that will continue, but in this case it might have to do with Arcsys having less things to work on when it comes to the console version for Revelator compared to Sign.

The gap between the Japanese and North American console versions of Sign was less than 2 weeks, so there isn't much of a gap to close. You wont hear me complain if the gap gets even smaller though.

I think most people would agree that the bold part is true for pretty much all characters. I can't recall many people here on Dustloop being stoked about their favorite character being reduced back to Reload status. But we all take what we can get. Dizzy players will just have to hope that Arcsys decide to bring back some of her fun things from +R.

You're right about that. Personally I'm worried that they'll focus on new characters over returning ones for the console version, just like they did with Sign. I would rather have a few old ones from the top 10 over say Raven and Tuner. Unfortunately the latter ones seem more likely.

Don't give them any ideas. Next thing you know we have to pay extra for every character. Paying for the game won't be enough. In all seriousness isn't the issue more that it takes a long time to develop the characters? I suppose more money would mean they could hire more people but I'm not so sure about that.

Yeah, I really expected him to dominate the votes. I'm glad to see that some other characters still have a fighting chance.

I'm surprised at how close it is between the top 4 characters. I'd prefer any of the other characters in the top 10 over Order-Sol, but I still expect him to win.

Still no PC version in sight. Not that I expected one, but this is making me dread the day Arcsys finally drops its PS3 support and I will either have to get a PS4 or stop playing new Guilty Gear games. I'm expecting a PC version eventually, but it'll probably be Sign and it'll most likely only be released after Xrd super turbo Extend: electric boogaloo hits consoles.

It seems like some people got upset when I mentioned I'd rather play Revelator on PS3 or PC because I'd prefer not to pay a fee to go online. I didn't mean to attack any PS4 fans out there so I'm sorry if someone interpreted it that way. But since the original game is on Sega's RingEdge, which is running Windows, a PC port would be pretty sweet I think. Then everyone could play the "true" version of the game. People who want to pay for online could play on the PS4 and people who don't want to could play on PC. Daisuke please make it happen. I think we have strayed a bit from the thread's topic and I'm almost surprised the mods haven't descended upon us to hand out infractions left and right.

I don't really know anything about Street Fighter, but isn't SFV on PC as well? If so that's a pretty big difference. Arcsys isn't very fond of releasing PC ports in a timely fashion unfortunately. I don't think many people would mind if Revelator was PS4/PC, but that's just me guessing.

I don't think there's any doubt they're releasing a PS3 version. The PS3 consumer base is most likely still too large for Arcsys to ignore. IIRC the PS3 version of Sign also outsold its PS4 counterpart with quite a margin. A PS4 only release would probably just earn them less money as well as alienate some PS3 only players. Also, considering that they already ported Sign to PS3 I doubt it'd be much work for them to put Revelator on PS3. Aside from the changes to the PS3 version of Sign they're probably just going to simplify the new visual effects. Revelator really looks gorgeous, but I'm not planning on getting a PS4. I'm satisfied as long as I don't have to pay for online.

Calm down, mate. When it comes to A.B.A she's a mode change character and she requires resource management with moroha mode, her bloodpacks as well as juggling her own health drain. There is really no character like that in Xrd, which is why I considered her more unique. I'm certainly not "hatin" on Order-Sol and if you think so you probably misinterpreted my post. I still think A.B.A would diversify Xrd's roster more than Order-Sol would, but you're free to think otherwise. I would just like to see a varied cast in Xrd, I don't see how that is a "petty reason." I think you're getting upset over nothing here. edit: Seems like several people here are getting upset over people wanting another character over Order-Sol in. There's no Order-Sol "hate", just calm down.

I don't mind Order-Sol, but I'd rather see them bring back someone else. Not because he's another Sol, but because there are characters with more unique playstyles not represented in Xrd so far. Zappa, A.B.A, Baiken and Testament are examples of characters that I think would diversify Xrd's character roster more from a gameplay perspective. Sure, Order-Sol have a few things that makes him unique, but his charge gauge is still not all that different from Sin's food mechanic and he still shares some similarities with regular Sol. To me it also feels like Xrd has enough fast, offensive rushdown characters like Order-Sol. In reality though, I think we can expect either Dizzy, Bridget, Order-Sol, or Baiken. But in the end I won't complain no matter who is chosen.

Did whoever uploaded that distort it to get around Youtube copyright bots or something? Because, damn, that sounds pretty far from the actual track.
