[Xrd] News & Gameplay Discussion 2 - Console is Out!
Poultrygeist replied to Anne's topic in Guilty Room
None. Same exact balance as SIGN. System has some changes though, particularly to blitz shield, danger time, the addition of burst powered overdrives, etc. -

Not to mention a more complicated character from a programming/concept standpoint than Jam is. Jam rushes you down, hits you and buffs herself. Dizzy has a bunch of variables with projectiles and traps and shit. Really I'm surprised it even took this long for Jam, I thought her relative simplicity would have made her one of the first ones. -

I think that was already established, seems like they're going for an SFA2 approach where everyone has their own endboss. That is, unless the arcade release brings a new character to be the boss. -

Then I've made a mistake with that post. Oops. Well, either way, I guess the dude's question still got answered. I think most people feel it's safer to rely on what they know than to blatantly switch to a counter character you haven't put as much time in. -

I feel like it's much less of an issue in BB. I'm a BB player, and since we don't have as many character specific factors as GG I feel it's easier to have a pocket character. In fact the number of high level players who have more than one character might surprise you. For instance, RYO plays both Relius and Ragna, SKD plays Izayoi and Ragna, etc. -

Character lock in some cases + characters being overall more specialized than in other fighters. Realistically it'll get better results if you invest all your time into learning one character intimately than it is to spread it out against multiple characters on a decent level. -

How do the cards look? Do they have like a personalized face like the IKs for other chars in this game? Do they use different playing cards or tarot cards for each victim? -

IIRC wasn't it GCYoshi, LordKnight and 2GB? -

Another Lich related question The corner combo he does at about a minute in, is there a reason he throws in 236A when he does 4D? Is it just to be silly? Because I don't know what effect it would have since Ignis inputs are independent from Relius. -

The Bedman board still doesn't have a mod despite GCYoshi and Tiamat both being good choices. IDK. -

Wow, that wiki layout is kind of difficult to get used to but it's much better overall. If it's viable to apply that to everything, I think I'd be onboard with that. -

I don't have a lot of time to respond to people today, so I"m just going to say this in regards to moderation. Yes, it is within your rights to say "this is how we run the forum, if you don't like it don't come here" and that's true for all forums. However, keep in mind that if you're sincere about growing the community then this attitude is probably only going to make outsiders think you're stubborn and power hungry. As it stands, you have a cycle that looks something like "Okay, I can't post about stupid shit in Zepp Museum without my thread getting locked, I guess I'll go to gameplay." "Okay, I can't post about gameplay because I'm still learning, I guess I'll go back to Zepp." But at the same time, don't concern yourself with being nice. I dislike "niceness" because it seems hollow and artificial to me. Instead, try to be friendly. Friendliness is more sincere, and you can do that without compromising your personality, ethics or sense of humor. Overall, just remember that as staff you represent the largest English hub for airdashers on the internet, as well as the community at large. Anything you do or say reflects not only on the website, but on the community as a whole. Think that over before you take action. -

Right, I only wanted to ask before I started shooting from the hip. I thought at first that it might be wise because it cuts the bullshit and gets straight to the root of the problem, but it may also just create even worse ones. Keep going. I said literally exactly this earlier, so I do agree. -

So since we're criticizing staff (which I'm on board with to be brutally honest) would it be okay to name names or...? -

I agree too. Man, I haven't felt any version of Slayer from AC onwards, at least not like I did in X2-Reload. : ( Fabulous. -

I propose a new rule, everyone who complains about how much they want "old school GG" back has to deal with Reload Slayer bite loops and try to block vanilla X2 Eddie. -

He isn't new. He's been an NPC in the GG series for an extremely long time. Long enough that if you're complaining about characters not being "metal" then you should know who he is. -

I gotta say I really dislike this new look for Elphelt : / I hope to god we get a classic version of her. Also hoping for Raven. The only GG character I'm interested in playing seriously.
