    I only use OMC Thanatos stuff if the next hit is guaranteed to kill and I have at least 100 meter so I don't give up all of my resources if it doesn't land. Typically if they somehow wind up fullscreen with Thanatos on top of them, since anything that happens there isn't going to get me killed. I also never use Randomizer. :v I'm not confident enough to deliberately do a charge forward input and the few times I have gotten it have been when I did something stupid on defense while being crossed up. I also wouldn't use it at round start more than once in a blue moon either, since it can be baited by the opponent waiting for a couple frames to see if you throw it out. I'm sure there are times to use it, but I'm not confident enough to learn them and start putting them into practice without a better input for it. I'm not super clear on the exact workings of Liz's safejump, but the general idea is that you get pressure if they didn't DP. If you land a fear safejump as Liz, you get 5A/2A/throw mixup and they can't fuzzy jump out of it. Which is fantastic, let me tell you. Other than that, I can tell you nothing. I don't watch any 2.0 stuff at this point, so I can't say anything there. :v I hope in was able tk help somewhat.

  8. Are there any option selects in Blazblue that should be known about, such as the fuzzy stuff in Persona? I know there are fuzzy guard setups, where you're locked into one blocking animation (ie stuck standing so jump normals that would normally whiff crouching will hit you and you're forced to block them), but I imagine those vary in setup and usefulness from character to character. Is there anything else?

    Is an awakened A Bufu > j.D route acceptable for non-1HSM meterless damage? For example, something like 5AA 5B 5C A Bufu j.D sweep? It seems super prorated though, to the point where it doesn't look like you get 5AA after j.D, so I don't know if you can get a knockdown off it.

    Has there been a writeup or anything done on the benefits of our different oki/knockdown options? For example, midscreen 2C > D Agi, 2C > SB Zio, j.C, safejump, j.B > j.D safejump, etc. It could be helpful for people learning Liz/working to improve.

    I was thinking more along the lines of how the Lizzies combo after 5D and such, with air chain>j.C>2A. I know there are combos like that off non-fatal now, so that's what for me thinking.

    Are the combos we're seeing Liz do in 2.0 possible in 1.1? They look like they would be (at least ones that don't need a bunch of bufus or multiple stocked 2Cs).

    Not sure where else to put this, but 5B combos into 5D on fatal counter and j.B combos into j.D as well. I know Omnix has been working on j.B > j.D safejump routes, but is 5B 5D good for another way of getting a fear safejump?

    Thanks for the tips, Elochai! I really do need to learn both optimal combos and Liz's combo theory. I do just kinda string moves together to get x, y, and z status ailments most of the time, with a little thought given to where I started the combo. I do 214AB entirely too much; I'm actually amazed I don't just get flat-out murdered for it by this point. I try to keep myself from doing it but it's easy to anticipate a jump and just throw it out for the free full combo, especially against Yukiko. Vs Yukiko, I like to try to call out 2D/j.D summons fullscreen with it. I also hadn't really thought of using 2B to break her persona. I was using 5B because it tends to catch fans thrown after 5D, and if Yukiko runs up behind it it'll either hit her or make her block most of the time. And I do need to work on (aside from everything :v ) my oki and combo enders in particular, to keep my game going after I get a hit in. I'll try to learn from and lab up the stuff you pointed out.     I haven't watched a lot of Liz 2.0 footage, but I'm hoping Dia can be used as a sort of last-ditch defensive option or something now. I haven't seen it used a single time so I don't know if it has any invul or anything like that, though.

    I like to use awakened SB Bufu to call out things fullscreen just to remind opponents not to leave the ground (because I love wasting meter I guess :x ) so sometimes if they tried to jump over it but failed to avoid it, the shard will miss and I'll have no idea what to do. 2[C] and meaty 214D sound like just what I need, though. I'm assuming you end in 5C>2[C] or 5C>2C>delay 214D, respectively?

    I like to end my combos in sweep>2D for poison and persona displacement, and then stall for as long as possible to get that juicy poison damage. I noticed last night that the enemy can sometimes airtech after sweep. That.... Shouldn't be possible, should it? Do we know what, if anything, causes it? Also, sometimes the ice shard from SB Bufu misses completely. Is it just a matter of hitting them with it at a weird angle or something? Speaking of oki, since 5B can be rolled frame 1 and anything else is too close to make DPs whiff, does sweep oki have to consist of hard reads? I like to do backdash 5D to grab rolls, but I'm at a loss for what to do to beat DPs other than bait and punish. Does our safejump (whatever it is :v ) work off sweep, or should I give up on sweep and primarily end with something else?
  22. I finally played Xrd with her, and it feels like one of the biggest parts of getting her neutral down is knowing when/how to change up your sword placement/usage. Do you want to keep both swords on hand, just one (and which one), do you have the momentum to throw out both and oppress them from afar, et cetera. While she struggles a lot if she gets caught on the defensive with both swords deployed, it isn't a big deal at all if you can avoid being put in that situation in the first place. I was also wondering if anybody knows whether there's a Ramlethal Skype chat, and if so, I would love you forever if you added me. If not, I'll make one soon and start adding people that want in.

    I don't know any mid-combo poison routes, but if I end in sweep, I'll throw 2D on them more often than not for some extra free damage on oki. I love me some ~800 damage (if the number hasn't changed) for no reason.

    It looks like crescent really is the better overhead, but man, 4B combo routes are easy mode. I also find it hilarious that Nu can catch you blocking midair with a sword and pressure you all the way down to the ground, continue pressuring, and reset with gravity for free.
  25. MJ cat hammer bounces by default? Whaaaaaat? I mean I guess we had to get something in exchange for not having a halfscreen IOH anymore, but... I'm okay with this.
