    [CP/EX] Kagura Mutsuki - FAQ/Q&A thread

So I started playing Kagura recently and was wondering a couple things. Should I only use 5b after the opponent blocks orb? I feel like the move doesn't really work to just throw out and its a bit frustrating to use. Can I do unsafe stance moves and just cancel into orb to make them safe? I've seen it on hit but can I just 2D-B and then orb as a blockstring for example? Edit :Tested it out and I 2D-B isn't cancel-able on block or at least into orb. What else can I do for approach besides j.C, 5.C - stance move/orb, or 2C - stance move/orb? Just run a bit and hop around? What would be a good combo after CH 6D-C? Prob one of my favorite counter hits in the game.

    [Xrd] Axl Video Posting thread

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm26926421 I found this video recently on the jp match vid database. Its a tech vid that focuses a lot on 1.1 Chain stance, with some extras.

BBCPEX 7/18/2015 - RYO (Relius) VS Batako (Kagura) FT3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEqjaD2O0MU So I've been trying to learn Kagura recently and was wondering about stance canceling a blockstring. I see it work a couple times in this matchup vid but it doesn't really look that safe. Also in what do people think of the Relius matchup? I've been away from BB for a while so I don't know where that character stands.

    [Xrd] Axl Gameplay Discussion

Thats the yrc option select that everyone is clamoring about. When you have 25 to 49% tension you can input yrc during your hits and if they burst then you cancel the startup of whatever move you where doing.

You can get a knock down off a throw into (weight specific stuff) then tk bomber, sideswap move on hit, and high counter. Probably Rashousen too, but I don't use it often. I think counter hit dp gives you time for a running jump into a delay airdash/low mixup.

Sin may be beginner friendly and it could be cool learning a new character and contributing to his development. But if you want to learn Guilty Gear and be solid as a beginner, I suggest Sol, Faust, and Ky as you can't go wrong with those guys. Ultimately, I feel that you should pick a character you like (for whatever reason) and grind it out. It will prob be more fun for you too.

[UNIEL] Under Night In-Birth Q&A Thread

So are the majority of us going to be playing in lobbies or are you guys going to grind out ranked mode. This is my first fg import along side Dustloop so I don't know where to go after messing around in training mode lol.

[UNIEL] Under Night In-Birth Q&A Thread

I watched the beginner workshop and read the wiki but I'm still confused about using shield. The beginner workshop video showed the Wald blockstring being shielded. As in dash B was shielded and then Hyde interrupts with dp before Wald's second hit. Is shield effective for 1 hit only? Also, regarding the input of shield, I know that if you are in blockstun and press D you get the green pushblock. Does that mean that using shield is primarily a read based mechanic during the holes in the opponent's offence? I've noticed in videos that people don't shield as often as I expected. Is shield just not that important besides punishing predictable blockstrings / jump ins?

    The "Picking a Main" thread

So I got BBCP and I have been playing Jin almost exclusively to understand the game and all that. I find he's a very solid character that is very comfortable to play. Recently I have been having trouble dealing with offence in the version, I feel overwhelmed a lot of the time. I figured that my playstyle is very defensive and I like controlling my opponent's approach. I play Axl in GG, so I'm ok with learning prolonged blocking. Now I am considering playing Nu, her D moves remind me of Axl's chains and she is the premier zoner of the game, not that Axl is a zoner but its the space control that I like. My biggest problem is execution, I find Nu combos very strict and inconsistent at certain ranges. Even basic aerial D combos are tricky to me with her. Should I just grind out the combos with Nu or can I get away with a passive Jin? I could main Nu and sub Jin, but I'm having doubts about being successful with Nu in the first place. Thanks in advance guys.

    AC+R: Q&A

Cool, thanks! I guess this is a good segue to talk about okizeme then. I usually go for 3P or meaty 6H. From my understanding Axl has more of a "frame trap" (for lack of a better phrase) based oki right? Delaying certain moves to combo into rensen, frc on block for more pressure and so on. I know there is more to Axl's oki game but I don't really know how to go about learning it, I just watch a lot of match vids.

    AC+R: Q&A

Hi, I'm fairly new to Axl and I was wondering about comboing after a throw. I was playing against a Slayer and I couldn't convert on any throws except for in the corner. I'm trying dashing 5K into (5P -> the rest) but dashing k is not really consistent when I practice it on Slayer, A.B.A, and Kliff.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the gundam vs series but so far it's a lot of fun! PSN is MrSparkmanEX, if you see me playing gundam feel free to invite.
  13. As a beginner, should I even bother going for melee? Every time I've tried so far the results aren't good. I guess I'm impatient with my lack of damage output, playing the RX-78 btw
