If this is a new title I'm not sure I'm going to buy it. This is my first Guilty Gear game and I love it but matches aren't easily found. I don't like their business model of adding 2 characters and lazy animated story and charge you full game price. Don't even offer a discount price for owning previous titles. I think I'll just wait for SF5, sadly. I'll keep playing until Xrd dies out. I was even waiting for Johnny because he looked cool but I'm afraid this will make the playerbase even smaller.

Even with Ogawa I think Zato is overrated but never mediocre. I mean, there's not really any mediocre character in the game. Maybe Slayer.

Except for the fact that Ogawa is the reason Zato is considered good. Nobody else is even close. One unblockable which isn't really an unblockable its a hard to block set up that is difficult to set up in the first place that happens maybe once in 3 games is not unbalanced. Remember that you have burst when this happens once in a blue moon. We were discussing if it was rare and as you can see it is rare against decent players. It really should not lose you the round.

I'm talking about the only Zato that is doing well and that is Ogawa. Just saw 3 matches of his latest Mikado tournament and he set them up zero times for an unblockable. The only dumb characters in this game are Elphelt and Faust. Zato is hard to play and rarely does he land these crazy setups you cry about.

You guys are all basing this on Ogawa for Zato being the best. Is Potemkin overpowered because Fab has him at #1 in rankings? These 2 are incredibly talented with their characters. Zato is hard to learn and how to learn how to fight but look back at how Machabuu studied Ogawa and beat him 10-2 with Sol.
