On the HPB note, I tried that in matches I didn't record (alongside Gigantier reversal, which saw some success), and HPB got blown up 'cause I had the sense to do it in the middle of a sword swing, and the invulnerability didn't last as long as I had hoped. The fear of getting hit again prevented me from using it after, though when they're trying to START pressure is most definitely where I should have tried to use it again. I think I'm actually fairly aggressive when I play, its just that in this particular set I got the feeling that this person knew exactly what I was gonna try to do, so I tried to hang back in order to try not to get punished for hitting a button like normal when I play someone better than me. I'm pretty frequently caught trying to use 5H for footsies, then they just IAD over and blow me up, so I've been working on using f.S for poking if I know the character I'm playing against has really good air approaches. Ending strings in 2D is definitely something I should try to avoid doing as much as I am, but when I try 6K pressure against some people, they'll just mash the hell out of my HFB recovery in most cases, leading me to try and play it safe. If I'm right about 2P being my fastest normal, then I could try starting pressure with that after HFB if they have a tendency to mash. There were a few moments I really wanted to try a tick-throw with 5K, but I thought they were too far away, so I just defaulted to a normal string. 2P/5P PB set ups are things I should definitely try to use more, but I think I might be too obvious when using them, as others I've fought will just mash or hit a button on me, so I think I need to work on 'getting them to stop mashing during my pressure' in order to get that stuff going. I won't lie, a man was panicking when I kept trying to backdash the sword mixups, praying that she'd fuck it up once and I could get a PB in. Gonna go to the lab and work on the MU, friend gave me a big ol' list of 'shit you did wrong' that I can pick through.

Since Xrd PC came out, I can record matches whenever I please, so feel free to tell me how bad I scrub it up: There were a few matches I didn't record, and I think I did better in those than I did here (the OS is real), but I think these are pretty alright until I start to fall apart near the end.

I waggled waaay too much on the stick during a few matches trying to get a poke or FD breaking and got midscreen wild throws and HVVs, thats something I'm definitely going to try to work on. I know for most wakeup times they're very similar outside of chars like Chipp and Sin who have super long ones, and Venom who has a really short one. I only really practiced safejumps with my chars on Sol, so I'll be sure to practice on more specific chars so I don't get blown up with wakeup throw. I'll admit, I kinda want to use YRC Fafnir a lot 'cause I see Kazunoko just straight duff people with it all the time, which probably works for a person who understands the game better than I do, hue. I'll be sure to cut that out.

Learning Sol to help with Pot's godawful MU's, recorded some sets I felt were pretty decent against this I-no. There are points where I completely scrubbed it up, and I wanna know exactly what I could've done better. Late Night Xrd Scrubfest

Is there any reason to use the original 6k-loops over the 1.1 trishula versions? I'm trying to practice the originals and it feels like way more work for less damage overall.

A friend told me about something called 'plink teching' or something today. Apparently it helps you avoid black beat combos or something like that. Anyone have more information on this?

Sorry if this is dumb, but is there any way to somehow 'rip' the replay files from the game? I can't shell out for a capture card atm, and I feel if other people could watch my match vids I could get some better insight on how I'm fucking up.

I unno what just happened, but I hit X to go into a lobby match and now I've been stuck on the "Please Wait" screen for like 5 minutes. It booted me out to the waiting area, but I'm still in the lobby. Anyone else get this? Google returns zip.

They sent me a new PCB to replace the one that was acting up, so I assumed it was a-okay to pop the thing open and lo-and-behold the thing's not even plugged in. Fixed it, now I'm flailing around as a newly minted stick-scrub. Guess I get a free PCB?

I saw no switch on the stick itself and no mention of such a switch in the description. I wish there was though :v. And I'd love to open it up and check out what's goin on, but that'd void the warranty and if it all goes to hell I'd like to get my money back at the very least.
