I'd add that, at a genuine beginner level, it helps to learn a combo for every situation, then play matches to learn how to actually land a hit so you can go into those combos, THEN go back and learn the "optimal" combos for each situation. That way you won't invest a ton of time into learning fancy 75% health fatal confirms only to be frustrated by your inability to ever land one in a real match. Take this with a grain of salt of course, since some people may end up getting the meh combos burned into their muscle memory by practicing that way.

Could somebody either tell me what's up with that or add the picture I linked up at the top as an image instead of a link?

    I know this is an extremely situational thing, but technically raw Bufula can be the first hit of a standing confirm. Somebody on Gamefaqs pointed out that there was nothing here on what it confirms into, so here's what I gave him. D Bufula > [6B] > AoA > C ender > jA > jC > jA > DP - 3295 dmg; Also works off of an A Coup through the mirror for 3995. D Bufula > 5AA > 2B > 2DD > 4B > Sweep > B Coup - 2695 (This can be used omitting the B Coup and setting another Bufula for oki, and it's the confirm you're pretty much forced to use if you do something other than throw, like 2A or j.B, that opens the opponent up and combos them into the Bufula.) C Bufula > [6B] > AoA > C ender > jA > jC > jA > DP - 3295 dmg Throw into a Bufula: If you throw somebody into C Bufula, you're forced to use either [6B] > AoA > D ender for 2132 or [6B] > Sweep > B Coup for 2100. B Coup, or just Sweep > knockdown oki, is probably better if you can't get them to the corner. If you can carry them to the corner, you have the wall bounce into a free Marin Karin for meter gain or a D Bufudyne for an extra 900 damage. Same applies for D Bufula except that it's 2411 for the AoA, 2239 for the B Coup ender. D Bufudyne still works for an extra 900 off wall bounce. 2496 and 2469 for SB Bufula, D Bufudyne still hits for minimum damage. SB Bufula > 2B > 2DD > 4 > 2 > D Bufula > 6 > AoA > D finisher - 4124 dmg (Depending on your spacing, the opponent will sometimes fall in front of the mirror before the 5th hit instead of bouncing on top of it. In order to continue the combo, you have to either A Coup Droit or 5A them back into the mirror, then follow up with [6B]>AoA>D ender for ~3639 dmg. You can squeak out another hit with C launcher > j.A if you're desperate for 200 more damage for some reason.) SB Bufula > Mabufudyne > SB Myriad Arrows > C > C > fully charged kick > D - 5549 dmg, 150 meter. (Look, I'm Shadow Mitsuru! ...Except it doesn't do nearly as much damage with only one kick. Not an efficient use of meter, only use if you know it'll kill.) If you hit somebody into SB Bufula, you're pretty much forced into 2B > 2DD > [4B] > Sweep > B Coup or [5B] > AoA > D ender, for 2500-2900 damage depending on what you hit them into it with. I'd personally recommend trying to cross them up for the raw starter into 4124 damage instead. Also, you're going to want to be cognizant of when burning 25 meter for an oki tool that leads into mediocre damage is actually worth it. Setting D Bufula for oki works decently. Feel free to correct me on this stuff, it's mostly just from my random notes from learning the character :P.

    After the first 4B you can go into DP, then delay slightly and do the air DP. It gets a good chunk more damage, but sends them sliding along the floor. *Sees 5AA>5C>5B>2AB>214B>dl4A>j.BD>2A>5C>5B1>2B1>5C>5D>236C* Oh. Nevermind. Carry on. Still, I feel like the more damaging meterless 5A confirms should be under that first 5A confirm in Jyosua's compiled post.

    I saw you were finally back online! ...On PSN, but yea XD. I haven't fought any Teddie players besides you, Gyoro (who seems to have quit or disappeared), and KintokiDouji since P4AU came out. And most of those matches were week 1.

    Hey so I can't figure out Mitsuru's Coup frames for blockstring purposes, and came to DL to check them out, and they're listed as variable with a ~ in between. Does the frame advantage change based on whether you hit with the edge of the sword in A Coup, or is that like on block vs. on hit, or...?

    So this is a rather nonstandard help request, but can anybody tell me how to exploit the Exia's weaknesses in a 1v1? (Preferably with the Kshatriya, but I'm open to anything.) I have a majorly cocky friend back in my old hometown and we always play 1v1s amongst our group when I visit for holidays. (I'm the only one that set up online play properly and the rest of them live together and share the PS3, so the "proper" 2v2 matches have never been an option. :/) The Exia's 4/6 daggers effectively function like one last rainbow cancel, and from what I can tell that gives it a stupid advantage in 1v1, because he can dodge first and STILL have one last dodge to escape my melee and get the stun into a combo. I can block it, but that just resets us to neutral and I eventually take one of the Exia's fast moving beams or fail to escape Trans-Am. (Not to mention if he ever bursts mid combo I just have to take the punish in many cases.) I play the Kshatriya most of the time, which feels awkward in a 1v1 against a suit that's all around faster and can sidestep my funnel fences faster than I can deploy them. I am fully willing to do something cheesy like switch to the Gouf and rely on 1000-cost-efficiency or something, and I know Kshatriya mainly functions as a long-range support unit, but I was just wondering if I'm overlooking any obvious matchup advantages. (Come on, I know somebody's had to deal with getting rushed down as a back player by an overzealous I AM GUNDAM type before, right? Guys...?)

    2B > 2DD > [4B] > [2B] > [2]8D > 2A+B > [2]8C > [6B] > 2A+B > [4]6B Is it just me, or does it have to be [4]6A for the ender most of the time? I can only get the B Coup to connect off raw 2D.
  13. Didn't see this for a while and I've gotten super busy suddenly (I'm moving in a week) but I will get back to working on this eventually :P. FOR THE GLORY OF BOTTOM TIER MOBILE SUITS, AND FOR MY OWN PRIDE! (Personally I think Mashymre had some merit as a 1000-cost because the newtype awakening mode gave him the mobility, melee range, and damage to make him a threat you couldn't just ignore, especially if staggered with burst, and he could afford to die a couple times and get the burst refill. The 1500-cost Maxi Boost thing sounds like it would make him significantly less viable.)
