Okay thanks, so I just have to time my jump between my AoA jump and their tech time?

Double Post edit.

For the mid-screen AoA~C combo that requires a neutral jump cancel, how exactly is that performed? I'm jumping into training to practice it but I don't know what that is exactly.

It's not the damage from Heat Riser that makes his suggestion sound, it's the buff. As Adachi, a 10% boost to offense and defense should be taken if the opportunity presents jtself, and the damage equaling other combos is just the icing on the cake. I haven't watched the game in question, so maybe you already had the buff. Either way, as long as you don't play recklessly and lose Magastu-Izanagi you should always try to have that buff to help you throughout the match.

You're the only person so far that I've heard with that opinion to be honest. Even as a pretty average player at best, I personally feel much better about everyone in this game than the last. The devs at the very least aimed to fix as many issues with every character as possible. On the topic of competitive play though, are there any recent sets or tourneys that I can watch? Or anyone who routinely uploads Ultimax gameplay?

Holy shit, remind me not to get cornered by an awakened Adachi.

I do, but typically only after 5C. The people I play aren't typically very good so I can get away with things like 5/2DD ~ 5C ~ 2C. I do love it though, a good 5C hit can lead to some pretty sweet setups and or damage depending on what you want. Sometimes I'll throw it out raw as a zoning tool, which seems to be decent depending on if you're trying to read an IAD or something. Definitely a lost card though if you aren't careful. Speaking of which, when muted and/or Persona Broken, what combos and BnBs do you guys usually use? I usually hit 5C in my power charge combos, and I haven't tested anything without Tomoe yet. Or is it more footisies and grabs that you guys use?

I guess I oughta try that more often then. I guess I might be too overconfident, because I get hit way too much. Kill rush after a knockdown demands respect too, right? I can't seem to Furious or out-mash it.
-
We oughta get a matchup thread going for discussion. I have a friend who mains Akihiko, and it's really stressful to play him. I'm not very good, so I'm trying to learn both the game and the matchups behind it, I feel like this friend in particular plays pretty transparently but even then, I almost always end up getting beat out by his A mashing. Is it just that good, or should I go about playing safer with Tomoe and zoning? I bait his Furious A. and 5A frequently, but in neutral I still tend to lose more I feel like. I do approach pretty haphazardly usually though.

Well in this game you can land counter-hits off of recovery frames so there are moments where you don't even have to confirm anything. 5B (CH) ~ 2DD is easy enough to land, so it's more getting used to the act of reacting to something. I use 5B as a poke alot because I fish for CHs, but I probably shouldn't do. I end up eating shit for running into something.

I appreciate the advice, and the Skype group invitation. I don't really use Skype at all though, let alone my PC. Though, if that changes anytime soon I'd like to. I'm at least glad to know SB Agi isn't imperative to her play
-
Hey guys, I'm thinking about picking up Yukiko but I'm not sure if I'll main her. How important would you say her SB Agi is in her combo game? Can you make do without it? Also, what staples should I keep in mind with my game-plan? I know I'm not too keen on making use of fire boost and break. Should I be going for them immediately after I land a combo?
-
AAA ~ mid-air special/DP cancels are hype as balls. Not much you can get from them though 'cept style points, at least not off neutral hits.

Real men loop Double Fangs 20 times without seeing it first.

Thunder God dance isn't even difficult in itself. Slowly go through each command and it'll save you from the stress of mashing. The hard part is ladning the damn thing, then again I don't play Yu so I don't know combos into it. Also, do navigators only carry over if they've been purchased? I had Mitsuru and Teddie from P4A,but they didn't transfer. Apparently my friend, has some he never purchased that did carry over. (I still think he forgot and just bought them)
