I'm going to end up pre-ordering the JP ver solely for netplay. But I can't read Japanese and like my menus in English, so I'll probably end up double-dipping in November. I'll do it for BlazBlue.

So first they copy Under Night with Hibiki, and now they're copying Melty? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Can someone give me some general advice on how to deal with Nu in neutral and how to deal with her when your defending? I play Ragna and this matchup is a nightmare for me because I can lose the entire game by just getting pushed out once. I have no idea when or how to close space so that I can get on her and when I'm blocking, I get obliterated. I get blown up by 4D and Sickle Storm in particular, and teleport mixups kill me, too.

If it isn't another super cute anime waifu! I really wonder why they even bothered keeping this character a secret, while also having people speculate so wildly on who it might have been, with a character design as underwhelming and lackluster as this. Her playstyle will probably be interesting enough, at least. If they continue to focus on adding new blood to Xrd like this, though, I really wonder if we'll ever see even a majority of some of the pre-established characters return or debut.

On second thought, after watching the mirror match, Phonon doesn't look as visually unappealing as I originally thought. She aite.

Probably a silly question, but do people in the US still generally netplay this game, anymore? I went on earlier (5PM EST) and there were only 2 people in Player Matches.

Hearing the words "grim" or "reaper" give me the shakes now, so it's only fair.

You're probably going to have to come out of your pocket for Pho, at least. I hope this update for Gord and Merk mains feels like having your husband come back from military service missing both arms, a leg, an eye, and suffering from PTSD.

I can understand not wanting to make a new MB because Tsukihime pretty much no longer exists, which is fair. But I can't understand the mindset in not at least giving Melty Blood fans a a ported version to (net)play consoles. Unless they no longer possess the rights to the franchise or something, it seems like they're really giving us the shaft for no reason. Anyway, back to the basement you go MB/Tsukihime.

One more question: are there no universal combos off of 6HS starter in the corner? If not, how necessary would you say it is I learn each of the character specific variants listed just starting out?

6HS > c.S > f.S > 3HS > GS > j.S > JC > j.S > j.HS > HSVT Is this combo character specific? I haven't been able to get the first j.S to hit on Millia, Ramlethal, Sin, or Elphelt no matter how I attempted to alter the timing of the jump or the GS.

I've been contemplating picking the game up (for real) myself, but I've been hesitant for the same reason the previous poster stated. Though, for me, it's doubly because I only want to play Narukami and it seems like he's going to change significantly in the next version, so I don't know if it makes any sense to start learning him from the ground-up. Why do updates have to take so long to come to consoles
