  1. Two quick questions? What in the hell has made Arakune go from "not great" in CPE to "dear god..." in CF? How is the relative balance? In other words, is the gap between the lowest tier and highest tier small or large? Does low tier stand a chance vs high tier?

    I'm looking to pick up a new character, and I'm leaning toward either I-no or Ram. So I'm curious what are the major differences between the two? I know this kind of sounds like a dumb question, so let me explain why I ask: Despite being quite different, they seem to have the same gameplan. Knock you down, preferably in a corner, and set something up. They also seem to share weaknesses in that neither has a fantastic neutral (Ram worse than I-no maybe?). So despite being aesthetically quite different, their gameplay seems very similar. So for someone who plays both, why choose one over the other?
  3. I'm sure this has been asked, but with a 48 page General Discussion, I don't think I'm going to find it (I did a search for it and didn't turn much up). Question: What is the difference between her target combos? For some, it's clear because they hit low or launch, but some seem... really damn similar. ppp and kkk for example. So when do you use some of the more similar target combos?

    Just introducing myself. I picked the game up for the NA launch. Loving the game so far though a couple of bad Chaos v Gordeau fights almost made me put the game down. I'm picking up Hilda for a while, and I'm down to play about anytime I'm on. Feel free to add me.

    What's 2.0 Slab's execution requirements looking like? Were they softened? I really would like to pick her up, but I wanted to learn the game before also fighting through execution.
  7. Does anyone know the relative weight of the characters? Also, what are relative damage ranges? I always hear that such and such has bad or good damage, but what are those ranges roughly? Like ~0-75 = bad, ~75-125 is average, ~125+ is good? If that is too relative, what's a rough damage estimate for midscreen, meterless bnbs?

    When I play a match, I get an option to record it. Can I use that to upload files to youtube? Or is it local? If no, how does one get shit from PS3 to youtube?

    Is the connection number worthless? I don't see anything higher than a 1... ever. And those are not necessarily better than the 0s I find. All in all relative to my other gaming, this has been a horribly laggy experience.

    I take all balance suggestions with a grain of salt. I play other fighters and was mostly curious as the consensus just to make sure it was not something like... "Well you picked Rise... sorry " I don't mind putting in work and ultimately the aesthetic will always be the largest deciding factor for me. Thanks for the responses. After weighing my options I'm really liking Rise, Yukari, SLabrys, or Liz for now. Think I'll pick up Rise first though. Thanks again.

    Awesome, that is exactly what I was looking for. My next question and one that is far more subjective. How is the balance? This is my first P4A game, but I had always heard there was a huge difference between competitive tier and everyone else (which may or may not have been a fair statement). Is that the case in P4AU?

    This might be a naive question, especially since the game seems a lot more rushdown oriented than others, and it is definitly a lot to ask since it will take some typing to answer, but: What gameplayare the characters ie who is rushdown, who is vortex, zoner, and on? In lieu of that, a brief summary of the characters would be cool as just getting into it, they all feel a tad same-ish though I know that is likely not the case.

    [P4AU] Yukari Takeba - Q & A Thread

    Well I'm hitting that AAA > 214A > 5C link about 1/4th of the time which is much improved from earlier. Who knows, in a few months I might could be hitting it 75% of the time! It seems the trick is definitly to buffer the arrow. Still not easy though. And it seems that there is a fine line from buffering it too early (so that it doesn't come out at all) and too late (so you whiff 5C). I'll keep trying, I guess. Thanks for the help all.
