    [Xrd] Sol Badguy 101/Q&A/FAQ Thread

Does the same timing I mentioned work for VV > Otoshi? I haven't practiced it too much, but at midscreen you are too close so if you walk forward and jump you will pretty much always cross up and the j.S will whiff. I haven't practiced this safejump timing that much with VV > Otoshi in the corner yet but perhaps it works better there.

If you're having trouble with safejump timing, I find that walking forward slightly (sol should only take like 1 or 2 steps), jumping with j.P and immediately doing j.S works really consistently. From what I've practiced it only works after a BR knockdown though.

    [Xrd] Sol Badguy Gameplay Discussion

Thanks Fenrir, that is a really helpful post! I'm definitely gonna add all of that to my own Sol notes. Rather than always trying to go for a knockdown like I was doing, it may be more advantageous to always try to leave yourself at frame advantage with moves likes 2P and 2S so that you can go for frame traps. Thanks again for the help!

    [Xrd] Sol Badguy Gameplay Discussion

Sorry, I have another question for you guys, My main block string has been 5K > c.S > 2D (then cancel into gunflame on block and BR on hit) but it seems like 5K > c.S > 2S is a better block string since it leaves you at frame advantage (although as far as I know you can't always get a knockdown without meter since you are sometimes too far for 2D to connect). Which do you think is the better block string? Is it best to avoid using the 5K > c.S > 2D blockstring outside of when you're 100% sure the combo will hit (so mainly as a punish combo)? Cheers!

Thanks Kikuichimonji! That was a really helpful and insightful post. Will keep everything you said in mind while I grind it out in training mode and online!

    [Xrd] Sol Badguy Gameplay Discussion

I'm new to GG (I have some experience with other fighters like SF and P4A but not much) and I've decided to start with Sol as he seems to be the most highly recommended beginner character. I have a few questions about playing Sol and using him to learn the game. I'm not sure whether this thread is the right place to ask but it seems to be the most active. 1) What are the most important things I should be practising with Sol in training mode? 2) What are some general bad habits new players should avoid (jumping too much, pressing too many buttons, etc.) and bad habits specific to Sol? 3) What is Sol's general gameplan (get a knockdown then go into set play? bully the opponent in the neutral and control space? etc.)? 4) How do you improve your neutral game? / Can you improve your neutral game using training mode? Thanks for the help!

    [P4AU] Aigis Q&A Thread

I'm a beginner trying to get into P4AU and I've settled on trying to main Aigis but I'm having a tough time learning the ropes. My main problem is I have no idea what I should be doing in the neutral. Should her neutral focus on using her Orgia mobility to get in or is it better to play a more ground based neutral? And what do you think is the best way to play the neutral game when outside of orgia? Cheers!
