So apparently, during Baiken's Instant Kill, a shamisen version of the IK theme plays over the normal IK theme. Nice touch.

Caught the stream archive of the announcement, and Baiken's full theme was playing while Daisuke and Pachi talked about Rev2. Sounds pretty much like a mix of Momentary Life and SUSANOOH.

I'm convinced that I was literally the only person before this trailer to have ever proclaimed that I wanted playable Answer, and I got my wish.

Well, what I mean is its a little premature to make assumptions about character usage and success at EVO. Recall last year's EVO where not a single Elphelt was in sight in Top 8, despite her ridiculousness. In my opinion, anything can happen dude. Not everyone plays characters based on their tier placement. The character enthusiasts (read:FAB, Zidane) will always be there, and their strong showings with such weak characters might inspire a few folks to pick up their characters. EDIT: I won't discourage you from worrying though, it guarantees you less pain, and it shows you care, and we all appreciate that.

How bout we wait until after EVO to have this discussion?

You're...over-reacting. We don't even have a firm hold on Kum's personality yet, and seeing as she's introduced investigating the strange Japanese disease, and the fact that Leo (proud as he is) treats her with formal respect shows pretty clearly that she's capable and independent, and apparently has quite the reputation. If all you judge a character on is how much testosterone is injected into them, I ask that you expand your horizons. Finally, May was barely even redesigned. It's just the change in graphics engine you're noticing.

It's odd to me that you wouldn't consider Kum's design 'bizarre' at least. I think this design is better than if Kum was just an old man, that's for sure.
