I tested the basic air throw combo(s) on all the characters and edited into the post. and yeah I dunno. Tager gets like 2 or 3 times as much damage off his normal throw as off his air throw for some reason. if you try it you'll see it does terrible damage even if you burn all your super meter on an air throw combo decided to look into air throw combos since I started using it yesterday as "anti-air" of sorts. obviously I'm pretty desperate . 5D is actually an ok anti air if you've got them magnetized

Sorry if this was posted but I didn't see an air throw combo posted yet. Apparently the air throw has terrible damage scaling so I'd advise not burning your shot or supers comboing from it. air throw > land 2B2C 623C > walk 6C5D (confirmed vs jin/ragna/v13/arakune/noel/tager/litchi) vs taokaka the 5D ender misses. do 2D or walk 6C 623C if you feel pr0 vs haku the 2C misses. you can do 2B5B shot if you want or just 2B shot... vs Carl/Bang/Rachel you can't even do 2B5B much less 2B2C. you can do 2B shot if you are desperate on him but he'll be so high up that you can't connect anything other than a jump attack or a super (which will do miserable damage)

I landed 720 today off a blocked 5C. pro which reminds me, it seems like only A and B moves can cancel into his command grabs. is this really the case?

DBL POAST because I think this match is good for reference mikeZ tager vs goryus v13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_Dwd9n7-fU notice mikeZ will sometimes go for a superjump C after landing 623C in order to keep close to v13 rather than going for the standard 6C followup. seems like a smart idea (and he even lands a sweet 720 cause of it)

even if you don't instant block there are a lot of holes in strings where you can do backdash, 360A, sledge (if you predict projectile attack of course), or either super. personally I haven't used the counter assault hardly at all. does it really do zero damage? cause that's a big turn off for me

A sledge followups: block backdash 360A/720 5A/2A (you are at neg frames so this won't work well on experienced opponents) canned 236A followup (this won't work well on experienced opponents at all since they can interrupt it just by spamming A, or they can block punish it) B sledge followups: all the options get carried over from A but are improved. since you are + frames on this one 5A/2A is much more viable of course. 360B if they turtle up.

how much landing recovery is there from jumping? his sledge autoguards projectiles starting from frame 1 according to the data so as long as the landing recovery isn't too bad it might work

how effective do you think it would be to do sledge right when landing from a jump? if she tries to attack your landing maybe it will beat her projectiles? just an idea

If you look at mike z's match you'll notice a big reason he lost is because he got whiff punished for doing 236B from too far away. nu would wait for it and punish the whiff with 5D combo so basically, if the Nu player shows that she can reliably whiff punish you for spamming 236B from too far out you gonna have to refrain from doing it unless you're in range.

Found a couple things. feel free to double check them on block you can 360A (or either super) between 5C 6A 6A 236A 5C 236A I think only supers can interrupt, I can't slip in a 360A

man I always thought you could throw them the instant they left blockstun in GG. blah 5A 360 B is not a combo even if they don't break it, they can just get hit then backdash or jump

this isn't necessarily about buffering the grabs but it is important and have not seen it mentioned we know that his command grabs are breakable if the enemy is in blockstun or hitstun right? well there's ANOTHER time they can break it that I haven't seen mentioned yet any normal canceled into command grab makes it breakable, even if they are not in hit or blockstun! edit: unless you do 6A to a fully charged 360A which is unbreakable apparently? 5A > 360B for example. they are not in hitstun or blockstun yet they can break it if you cancel to the 360B. if you wait and then do the 360 by itself of course it will be unbreakable. ok to add more confusion, it seems like you can't cancel to 360s from some normals like 5C/5D/2B/2D etc. yet if you do 2B into a 360 quickly it will be breakable. so I guess this means doing a 360 right after they leave hitstun/blockstun makes it breakable as well? what a bunch of silliness I don't understand it lol

I agree, anti air is a huge problem. So far I've had most success with 5C as anti air. to deal with people who go really high (too high for 5C) I've started trying to jC counterhit them...seems like an ok air to air move I'd be interested to know what moves are helping others with anti air. also this part of the guide should be changed I believe lol lol? even if you do it immediately upon leaving the ground (which is probably what you meant) it isn't too hard to react to i'd think
