if you wanna play it safe than block it, but that's not gonna make him stop spamming it. if you want a way to straight up punish him for it, so that he'll stop spamming it constantly, you'll need to do something more risky.

IB only recovers you from blockstun 2 frames faster, and I'm pretty sure Testament's still advantage even if you do IB it. blocking it doesn't solve anything, at best it creates a neutral situation. I'm not saying jump / dash throw every time you think he will do a forward beast but you should do it at least enough to make him not spam it constantly or you'll lose

but oiboi, why block the forward beast? it's advantage on block don't you know? he can easily hit you if you choose to attack after it and yeah testament can anti air you but that doesn't mean you shouldn't jump if you predict a beast, if he doesn't beast try to air FD and hope for the best maybe you can punish it with one of those ghetto jD (land) jP aircombo combos

ways to beat forward beast regardless of character 1) jump/iad attack (assume he didn't frc, but even if he does he lacks invulnerable anti airs so you probably not in terrible danger) 2) run into his face and FD throw him, it doesn't hit if you are close enough to him as long as you're close enough run FD throw beats forward beast, warrant, and poison super. also beats him if he only has one tree out and he's just low blocking with it slightly in front of him.

yeah if you look at match videos from japan anji wins a lot. if ky is at advantage it has to be pretty tiny.

the summon I agree is throwable, but I am pretty sure the overdrive is throw invulnerable in AC (even though in Slash you could throw it) if you come to the may C3 (the really big one) I'd like to get some games with you. record sol doing a tick grab from 2P into command grab or something. it should grab your summon but not your overdrive if I am correct

I still think Zappa's overdrive is throw invincible so someone else can check that, I'm not gonna touch the game till I go home next month. I know it wasn't throw invincible in previous versions but I am like 98% sure it is throw invulnerable in AC. I'm pretty sure I tested it. You may remember me and Nives arguing about it.

hey thanks. sadly I never got to play titan44/tityfofo =[ combos: iirc you can do fujin loops and stuff. he's similar to ky as far as combos are concerned it's been a while so that's just iirc though. also red shitsu you will want to do it later than normal cause he stands up slowly after knockdowns. the 5K5S5H combo ender in corner will give otg butterfly setup agianst him if close enough

sorry to jump in randomly and ask something that's probably been asked a ton of times but can somone tell me some basic kamui combos? my roomate just got the game and he needs help and I dunno a resource to find info for the game easily so here I am

there are a lot of characters that can do ok againts baiken, just dont know who has advantage on her besides potemkin. could try sol, ky, testament, slayer, jam...

holy diver: I actually just got the one against anji down yesterday but kept screwing up the P skull, just a little more practice I'm sure you want the 6K BL to be as early as possible so they go higher, then you want the first TK BL to hit them when they are as high up in the air as possible (but not too early or you miss XD). then you'll have enough time for the dash 6K5H. also make sure you're not attacking from the dash too quickly, get nice and close so the 5H doesn't miss

holy diver: on all females except aba (treat her like a male), millia (dash 6K, then no idea lol), and dizzy (totally fails) you should use the 6K when they are low. if they are right across from you you are good to go on the females only came to realize this recently unfortunately but now I find it easy to remember but I can't do combos ending in curse from midscreen throw yet (which is on male characters) so maybe that doesn't' help. anytime i have to dash into something is like auto-fail

yaaaay I figured it out on jam finally. you have to do the 6K when she's low down and then do the first TK BL really late kinda, like you have to do the 214 fast but then do the P as late as you possibly can so testament jumps higher. once i figured that out it was easy to get 5 XD. still not perfect on the timing of the first one but at least now i know where it is, the followup ones are super easy by comparison yay the females are mostly the same. more questions later im sure

I noticed that but with those two my problem is getting the TK BL after that.

it kinda bothers me how that video (and also epic's post which i think is mostly what was in the vid) doesn't have any combos on females. i know they are lightweights and they can be BL looped more but still having some problems with combos on jam and baiken from throw. didn't get around to practing the ones he posted yet but I'll get to that soon enough
