I'm admittedly not that interested with what's going on FG-wise in Manc either at the moment, had a conversations about it the other day with my housemates, I'm really just waiting for GGXrd. I'll probably be playing BBCP when it comes out and I'll import it, but I doubt many people in manc will play it. The scene used to be ran purely by GG players back in 06/07, but since SF4 and the 09'ers came, they've stolen the show and everyone just plays Marvel or maybe Tekken. When the new GG is out I'm pretty sure things will change...

It's fine that it was late. I mean, like you said, you don't really check your profile regularly, so there was little way of knowing as towards whether somebody had posted something or not lol. I constructed a Facebook account and viewed the MBA/GGUK groups. Unfortunately, the only thing around within the former seems to be Tekken and AE. However, I may still attend the event, in case anybody wants to play GG/KoF/BB casuals or something. Also, when exactly is the next occurence of those meetups you were speaking of? Although it doesn't really look like a particularly interesting game, I am willing to try Marvel, and I'm assuming it isn't only thst constantly. Oh, and I don't actually have a PS3 lol, so adding you there isn't really available. ;_;

Hi! Sorry for the extremely late reply! I almost never actually sign in to these forums lol Yeah I live in Manchester (city centre) with 3 other FG players. We have a pretty close-knit scene here but things took a turn for the worse when Gamerbase closed down at the beginning of this year. There are currently a couple of the lads who are running events every couple of months and we hold sessions at mine by my housemate Matt (Goukifafa)(it's usually marvel though). Since the demise of the NeoEmpire forums last year we've been using Facebook to keep up-to-date with stuff. Where exactly within Manchester do you live? I'm also located in the area, and as you probably know by now (unless there's just this hidden scene somewhere I'm not aware of or something) offline games aren't exactly the most common thing. Sorry if you find this too forward or anything, I'm just pretty desperate within that regard at this point lol.
