Jubei is a minor setback when you consider the dub scenario. People have been waiting for Nine and Izanami for nearly as long, so 2 out of 3 is good enough for me. Es and Mai are just icing on top of the cake. There's one more character left. It shouldn't be hard to figure out who it is. Everyone is riding on the hopes that an Extend version will have it, but if they shut down those people then it might just force people's hands to buy the vanilla version. Personally, my LE is only staying on preorder as long as the dub situation is hopeful. That is way more concerning than Catman ever was.

If I can go back to it briefly, this is why rushing the US release without the dub is pointless. The game will always be imported by those who want it right away, and no one is double dipping for a version with only English subtitles when they might've prior for localization bonuses like battle voices.

When this game is dead in a few months I hope they're aware as to why. Everyone will have moved on to Tekken 7 and will be waiting for the Extend version.

But if they do so in order to get a dub, it'll be worth it. Best compromise they could do is release a sub-only digital version this year to appease the ones who want to play immediately, and a proper dubbed physical release next year. Blah, that outfit. Least Izanami sort of had a reason to switch it up. My concern is her overall role in the story. What once was a mostly stand alone story in the BlazBlue world is gonna get arsed into the main plot because everything just HAS to be connected. Or maybe she'll be like Tao and just do her own thing, who knows.

I would absolutely hate for this game to come out with no dub, but before I jump to conclusions, hasn't the localization of BlazBlue always been kinda tight? The Japanese and US version of Calamity Trigger came out a month apart, in the case of Continuum Shift even the same month, with the arcade version only coming out the year before. CP gave them some more breathing room, but I don't see how things would be out of the ordinary here. In recent cases, P4AU came out in a similar fashion, with a long-ass story mode that was completely dubbed. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like seeing a dubbed Es for once.

They said somewhere she was imperfect as a clone? Would be weird considering that Saya was supposedly created to be a vessel and was mentioned as being very good as such. I think it's just supposed to symbolize "Hurr durr look I'm nothing more than a puppet for Izzy" or something. Those doll joints also not consistent in most of the artwork/sprites, but it's creepy how you can see them on her upper legs when she kicks, so creepy. While we're bringing it up...maybe it's just the drawing being inconsistent, but it seems like her feet are a bit short/stubby in some of the sprites/character select. I immediately thought of bound feet and (that's maybe why she's floating all the time 0_o) but she's walking in a few scenes in CP so I'm pretty sure it's just the artwork.

There's another KO Sprite where she actually looks knocked down, so I'm guessing that's not the only one around. But yeah, hope nobody is surprised she'd be in the "let you win club" regardless. Would be awfully embarrassing if a death goddess is laid out flat after a single round. Loving all the subtle references to other gods in her moves, too.

Wonder if they'll finally have English VAs as announcers this time around. They did nearly every character for P4A in English and it was really nice. Really fond of Izanami's English VA so it would be nice if I could have her as a regular announcer, although Yukana's take on her as an announcer is great too.
