    General Johnny Questions

After a quick training session, I see that I just need to keep practicing. I was pressing S too late after KJT & I was trying to frc after my KJT>KJ too fast. Soon, this will all become part of my muscle memory, and I can start to polish my lvl 3 MC. Thanks again 4r5!

    General Johnny Questions

I have problems with linking the HS into KJT>KJ. I'll do a blockstring ending in HS, buffer the KJT during the start-up of the HS animation, and can't tell when to press S to connect HS>KJT>KJ. Pointers????? I didn't know that the KJT>KJ(FRC) was different than KJ in air. I'll take that to account. Thanks for the info!

    General Johnny Questions

I have the biggest problem trying to get KJ connect at its early point, after a blockstring-KJT. And because of this, I always end up wasting 50% tension trying to FRC after KJ due to off timing. I'm not good at recognizing frames, and this could be one of my problems. Any advice on this would be great!

    Improving tips?

I didn't know that. Now that I think about it, from the videos I watch, they mostly use it for ground-to-air. I use 6K alot to try and mix-up my blockstrings/pressure approaches.

    Improving tips?

6K is very useful for pressure & covering ground. Also good for tick throws(frc).

    Improving tips?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I tried to use one of the shoulder buttons, but my MCing wasn't as smooth.

    Improving tips?

I tried out using S MCing instead of K, and I see how it can be easier. I just have to keep at it. And also, I feel that when I'm doing a blockstring and it's time for me to MC, I input my string fast, which means I may buffer my MC in too fast. Is that possible? Thanks for the advice. I'll try it out the next time I'm training.

    Improving tips?

While I guess I got some training to do. Thanks for the advice! I have not one person to play against, and it kills me. I play my brothers every blue moon, but they're not into fighters. I stay off Beltway 8 on N Bammel, across the street from Klein Forest High School. What regionals is going on this weekend!? Where?! I need to know!!!

    Improving tips?

I usually holding down kick and sliding to heavy. I guess I can give the other way a try. I just felt uncomfortable to me, but whatever. I not as moblie as I want to be cause I don't have a car. I want to hit up PlanetZero to get some Human comp (which I have none), but it is on the other side of town. I been looking for people in my area who play GGXXAC, but no luck.

    Improving tips?

I have a problem with my MCing. I can't keep a constant rushdown (especially at lvl2&3) because I always seem to release my MF before I can cancel. I know that I would probably have a better success rate it I was using stick instead of pad, and that might be the answer to my problem, but I'm kind of broke at the moment. If there are any pad users (HAHA!) with any tips, please help me.

    [AC] Johnny Video Links/Video Discussion

I agree. I have the same problem. You know what options you have at your disposal for any given situation. But deciding which one it best to use for that one specific situation can be a killer. Being due to a certain matchup, or may it be inexperience to a certain situation, making the best decision to minimize critical mistakes can be pivotal to the outcome of the match. I feel weird commenting because I can only practice with the CPU, for I don't have anyone to play against to give a concrete critique. So in all reality, I'm a serious scrub:psyduck: . I hope my thoughts help, and that you understand them.

    [AC] Johnny Video Links/Video Discussion

First, I'll say that it is always good to see any match with Johnny in it. From watching the video, I really didn't see you use DB or KJ that much. Along with their respective teleports (and of course FRCing for saftey), they can be very useful for mixups, mindgames, crossup, combos, oki (TK DB), ect. And like 4r5 said, stay grounded and start working on you blockstring. Though you're not netting any damage, you're building up the opponent's guard gauge (which Johnny can do real good), and pushing them to the corner. Going against a good Johnny, the corner is not where you want to be. Also, be careful with random JH. If you whiff, you're asking to be raped. If you must attempt one, do it from Mist Stance to cut down the horrible lag on that move.
