Does anyone know what 13 is a reference to? 13 is always the othher series reference palette.

I don't think it's going to be unique to every character. The Terumi one is a reference to how the Sekigan can see his true form but that is a detail exclusive to Terumi. It's a nice touch but won't effect any other characters.

But where do the previous statements that Mori's next project won't be a fighting game fall into place with all of this? Granted, Cross Tag Battle makes that statement a bit suspect but assuming we're talking about something after that, in order to be ready in two years maximum the new saga must either be that new genre game or in a non-video game medium.

So should there be a dedicated BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle thread? It seems like it should have one separate from here.

They mostly just talked about the fighting game industry and EVO and stuff. Nothing that important. Nothing to apologize for. I'm not sure where that was mentioned but who knows. All I know is that the RWBY fighting game is almost guaranteed to be announced around then as well. Not that I really care if we get an announcement about BlazBlue anymore since I just got a Toy Story world and 2018 release for Kingdom Hearts 3.

I understand if you personally don't care for it but wake the fuck up if you think it doesn't matter. It matters to just as many, if not more, people than "must have Jubei nao" does. Are you really so far up your own ass with this Jubei business that anything else is inconsequential? I would bet even things like unlimited characters, new story content, or a different playable character being announced (Kajun is not unrealistic since she already has arcade art) would be inconsequential to you as long as they're not your precious Jubei. Your attitude towards this is utterly baffling. You seem resigned to disappointment despite having absolutely no proof of what is to come. You do realize you are complaining about a conclusion to a future announcement that you yourself made up right? Your relationship with this series seems masochistic. It would be so much more bearable if every hint at something new made you excitedly hope that it's Jubei as opposed to your doom and gloom nonsense. I would do anything for them to at least have her meet Nine and Celica considering that little detail of THEM BECOMING BFFS IN LOST MEMORIES!

Ok but why should we expect the Steam version of the current console release to have that? If they want to release new content say next year or so we'll get a name then. Steam is just a port.

What? Steam releases always come last, so any updates would be console first and therefore Steam wouldn't say anything about it. This is just Steam getting it's late version of the current Central Fiction. It does not mean anything about if new content will be added. Also, why would it have a new name?

Even if Mori goes back on his no Extend statement, it is far too early for that announcement. The console version has only been out in Japan for three months.

Getting away from the Jubei topic, does anyone recognize any of the reference colors (palette 13)? I know Es, Izayoi, Tao and Bullet are Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang from RWBY, Hibiki is Levi from Attack on Titan (as if the inspiration wasn't obvious enough already), Izanami is C.C. from Code Geass and Nu might be Eva Unit 02 from Evangelion. If tvtropes is correct, Tager, Arakune and Kokonoe are Finn, Jake and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, Hazama is Matsuno from Osomatsu-san, Amane is Kuja from Final Fantasy 9, Kagura is Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist and Nine is Kneesocks from Panty and Stocking. So can anyone figure out any of the others?

This topic again? Some things never change. Might as well weigh in then. First off Jubei isn't the "only" character not included since we don't have Trinity who does way more than Jubei (she was the only one present alongside main characters Ragna, Jin and Noel throughout the ending). Secondly, the problem isn't just about developer creativity it's about the options that Mori has already refused. Mori has confirmed that the height issue is the main reason we haven't gotten him yet so it is a problem they have not solved. Mori also has said he won't put Jubei in his Dark War armor because he doesn't want to change Jubei's image suddenly. The same thing applies to him wielding Hihirokane after the plot gave that to Jin. Mori wants to keep Jubei with the look and fighting style he already has, which is a style they cannot get to work (at least not yet). I don't think we can say people are calling the developers stupid when the developers themselves have admitted that it is a problem. I'm not saying they will never solve it (look at Celica who can't fight so she was given Minerva) but this is a far more real roadblock than your Mewtwo analogy. No it woudn't. People don't seem to realize just how short Jubei is since story mode sprites upscale the short characters. Fully upright Jubei is only 4'04" while Es is 4'89" and that's before including the hitbox boost her giant question mark hair gives her. Even the sheathed sword sticking out from the top of his head wouldn't make up the difference. And this is just looking at Jubei from neutral position. CF gave him a story sprite for fighting so we know have an idea of what his movement would look like. Notice how he's crouched and holds his swords downwards and that's when he doesn't have it in his mouth. Unless he jumps in every attack he will still be hitting very low.

It's official but it's not from the Japanese version. There was a playable demo of the English version at Dreamolition Derby 3 (a fighting game tournament in Germany) which is where this comes from. Danaiden actually is the one who posted this and has a collection of pretty much every post-fight quote involving Es except Bang's here.

So since the console versions usually have more color palettes, does anyone know if this game keeps the Persona reference colors or if there is a general anime/video game reference palette like 13 in CP (Ragna as Ichigo, Bang as Goku, Azrael as Kamina etc.)?

If Aksys itself is allowed to encourage people to ask for the dub (even if not mentioning the petition) why wouldn't the voice actors be able to? Patrick Seitz's facebook post made it clear that he supports the dub so how is this different? In fact that post probably reached Aksys directly to cause the sudden shift in attitude. The actors have not been called in to work on Central Fiction and are thus under no contract regarding the game.
