    It seems like since ^C is out most of the older threads are gone or edited for the new version. Some people still have the old games without the new ones! Anyways, does anyone know any BnB combos // things to learn with Baiken in #R? I really like her style and want to get better with her. I hear she has a dustloop, and I've seen combos with j.dust frc > airdash iirc. Please hel, thank you

    Since there is no "hit button for automatic hit/win" (like your SNK boss reference), could it be said that Guilty Gear's tier lists // character potential represent "difficulty" for the other player to respond with? So.. a super-good poke makes out-poking extremely "difficult" (but not -unbeatable-). because there are no "free hits" in Guilty Gear before a combo starts (you can't *force* someone to get hit, you have to out-play them or they have to make a mistake ex. block wrong, not guess your tick-throw attempt). So, is tier-list = "difficulty" for the other player, as both "overall" and specifics (ex. superb oki means defending against that oki is very difficult), a correct statement?

    "Genius" player is an interesting remark. If genius means "damn awesome player, knows everything about their characters" then I would think tier lists would be written *with* genius-skill in mind. If genius means "ability to outsmart opponent" then, *shrug* it's something else.

  8. I heard you could not be thrown for several frames after blockstun ends in the Potemkin boards.. or am I mistaking this for wakeup throw invincibility?

    So if you are behind your opponent when they get up, they have to hold away from you you to block, which is "forward"? Or can they not block on their first vulnerable frame if their "forward" is also your "forward"? (hope that makes sense)

  15. CH state question: The way CH are referenced, it sounds like a move can be in its recovery frames but NOT be in CH state?

    What is "fastfall dust" at the bottom of this thread: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=482.0 ? Also, I hear it is possible to do some sort of crazy IAD Tatami Mat spam where a Tatami mat is always on screen or (close to it). Was this a joke or is this just well-excecuted TK Air Tatami Mats?

    I played some #Reload friendlies last saturday -- my other character's got owned but my Baiken won most of the matches I picked her. They were all surprised at the j.s combos :D

  20. Ok, I thought I posted this already but couldn't find it.. did I Dare to Dream of Dustloop? Question: Are airdashes really short, frame wise, but provide a significant momentum boost that defies gravity for a bit? OR, are they long, and you can attack out of them, but can't block? Or, they are 1F long? I guess my question is -- it seems you can attack and block out of airdash, but are there any frames where you can't? (Or if it seems slow are my fingers just not fast enough edit it's really scaring me that I thought I posted this already and can't find it. please someone tell me they've read my post

    Ok yeah, disjointed was just easier then saying.. the attack hit box does not overlap with Johnny's hitbox :p. What happens if someone else's attack hit box hit's Johnny's MF hitbox, and neither person's personal hitbox overlaps the other person's attack.. will the attacks whiff each other? Clash with lightning? (I had heard that this only happens with equal LV attacks).

    Yeah, his High and Low Lv1 MF's look really suicidal to try to poke with at a range they can hit, but his Mid level one looks fine.. is the hitbox disjointed? (eg if the hitbox of the MF gets DP'd will Johnny get hurt?)
  24. Noticed something. Was trying some pressure strings with Chipp, and the Dummy was blocking normally, but when it blocked in the air it blocked with blue sparks (like you have in FD, and you need FD to block ground to air anyways). Sounds like a glitch!
