As for advice, just follow what's in this forum and you'll get it. A lot of my play style has been from years and years of experience. Sometimes that's just what you need.

    c5S on crouching opponents. The only good things about 2S is that the hurtbox is small and it staggers easy.

    I didn't hear of any bug with sword reported. The only move that has a speed (new to AC+R) is the sword rush (236S) and it is now affected by what direction is held.

    Veteran Zappas know what we got using sound cues. We'd hear the dog growl, or hear the ghost mamamama. Zappa mumbles different things with the sword like hamou da (which someone told me means 'bloody knife').

    Also naked 6P counterhit, I do this instead of summon: 6P, 2HS, jP, jK, jS, JC, jS, jD. Same goes for counterhit 5K. They'll fly up and away after the jD giving you time to land and summon. If you want orbs then just do 6P, 2HS, 236P (RC 66 5P 236P...). Whenever I can ensure naked 2HS will connect, I put it in. Any counterhit 6P (or 5K) will make the opponent airborne. So as an aside to Zoogstin's ghost counterhit 6P, I would rather do: 6P, 5S, 5HS, jP, jP, jP, JC, jP, jP, jD, 236P/HS (depends on where they are). Another thing to remember is the 6P is JC'able itself in case it's blocked.

    There's a local tournament coming up in my area for AC+ and in the notes it says players using Zappa and Robo-Ky can request an AC station. Was there a detrimental change to Zappa that would allow this rule between AC and AC+?

    Not sure what you are talking about there... The bite has been 3 orbs on hit, and doesn't seem to change in AC+R except on block we get one orb which is pretty sweet I think given it's no longer unblockable. The only other possible buff is the new dog move from the 4D (4D, 6D) which is the dog lunge in the air. There was mention of hitting the dog when it was not attacking to make it go to sleep but I can't find it in the loketest notes. This could technically be seen as a buff if it absorbs a hit.

    Played for the first time this morning, only had one match and it was a level 1 connection. It wasn't brutal but it certainly wasn't optimum either. I'll give it another go tonight when more people will probably be online.

    What was buffed with misfortune? Also ghost f5S was nerfed in terms of hitbox; it's noticeably shorter now and I can see a few Zappa players not accustomed to it yet. That and the dog bite nerf are the only things I'm not a fan of, everything else is pretty awesome.

    I've been looking for Zappa matches since the Japan release but they are few and far between. However, in many of them I did see, I noticed all did something that seemed very odd to me until now. Many of the players are doing naked 2D for the knockdown but not immediately summoning afterward, they would input the summon after the opponent hit the floor. I didn't see the point until watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UuQtDqy0j4 At 24:15 against Sol, Zappa knocks down the opponent uses the summon to OTG and then immediately follows up with a ghost combo. What is semi-important here is that he uses 5P to start, which is the same across summons so you can use that time to figure out which one you have (still pretty quick but I don't see it a problem from a veteran Zappa). I know I used to do something like this in older versions, where the summon would hit an airborne opponent and keep them in the air long enough to combo off of but this seems like it could be near universal.

    4D+D is still an overhead though, I think. If the f5S is still a low, we could work with that, since it'll give a knockdown where the bite used to. Now what the hell am I supposed to do with naked 2H!? I wonder if it combo better from S now?

    I don't know about this, I think it depends if it's still a low. I liked the stagger but I guess it will still work because I used the stagger as time to summon and this is similar.

I can't tell which but I know a bad dog when I see one. The new ghost j2S looks pretty awesome, I wonder if it's an overhead (probably not). We'll have to put a lot more work into the sword, it's like a whole new summon. At the end of one the videos, he does a familiar 5S, 2S, 5HS sword combo and the 5HS moves past the opponent without connecting. Also watch at 5:22 in the first video (vs Axl) and notice the naked f5S puddle seems to knockdown where it used to stagger.
