    I haven't said they were impossible to punish when the counter whiffed, only when the counter is actually activated. I'm only talking about how they create situations where a character essentially permanently loses a tool because if they DO use it, any half-way decent player will just press 2D a couple times to completely nullify it. Other than that, they're fine. They don't give too much reward, they aren't too hard to bait, it's the fact that by having it he takes away things from other characters without any work.

    Opinions, yes. But they're shared by an incredibly large % of the people who play BB at high level. Exactly. He's rather far from his design of a defense-oriented character in this revision, if you ask me. That's why something needs to go.

    Well again, Litchi isn't the only one affected by it. Other characters have setups completely shut down by Hakumen just having the counter on frame 1. For Litchi, when it does happen (say you didn't know he could do that) you just blew 50 meter and he did basically nothing for it. Making the whiff punishable would fix it entirely. Some characters still wouldn't be able to do setups or they would still lose valuable time from the setup, but it's not a 100% STOP hand. It's just an unenjoyable aspect of the matchup. Nobody really feels good doing it or being on the receiving end of it. EDIT: Also again if this weren't CSEX I was talking about, the counters aren't such a big deal. It's a culmination of the character in this version, he really doesn't even need the counters at all to win the large majority of his matchups.

    DPs don't shut down Kokushi, they don't shut down Lambda's wheel, they don't shut down Mu's bomb oki (she can charge them now though) among other things. If it required more effort on Hakumen's part than just pressing 2D as soon as he gets up and then repeating it 2 or 3 times to catch the rest of the move, sure it'd be okay. But as is it doesn't cost him anything, there's no risk because you can visibly see the setups before they happen and even if you don't get grabbed by the counter you still don't get to punish him. There are certain situations where it's just thoughtless, that's what needs to be fixed.

    So completely shutting out a character's options indefinitely by just having the counter (this doesn't effect just Litchi, hope you realize this) isn't harmful to the game's depth? I don't like it because it has absolutely nothing to do with being more skilled, it means the player that isn't Hakumen has to play better than Hakumen himself. Notice how I don't give a shit about CT Hakumen, I'm talking about CSEX, where he also has a rather ridiculous j.B and an unmatched abare.

    Lol? You Hakumen players are so spoiled, like CSEX Hakumen is perfectly balanced or something. I've played Spark a lot, I've played Hakumen myself quite a bit. There are quite a few situations in the game that Hakumen gets out for free, no effort because of frame 1 active unpunishable counters. They are stupid and deserve to be nerfed/reworked. Removing depth from the game by having an absolute answer to another character's tools is not okay.

    The only changes to the sets was 6D and 4D being switched around, everything else is the same afaik.

    If you're going to be changing your button layout: ACD B would be the best way for comfort, imo. Also useful for people that are used to BlazBlue throw tech. I found it extremely awkward trying to break throws in the default setup, it's only amplified that you have to manually block with Asterios. Macros are also more or less in the same spot.

    No, they really aren't even close...EX has the best balance out of any of the BBs. Makoto is lacking, she's not awful but I know we all love over-exaggerating how shitty our characters are since it's never our fault for not being good..

    Absolutely wrong. It's entirely dependent on whether or not Daisharin can actually reap a reward when used as a mixup tool and seeing as how it's now an Overdrive, I can't see it having the proration it has now. With the current knowledge on her Overdrive, all it does is remove her ability to force neutral/pressure for 50 meter by jumping up into the air and being a jackass

    Daisharin is not on the movelist, it MAY be her Overdrive but I can't read jp. She has All Green, Kokushi and the new ranbu super.

(that's you if you didn't get the joke) jesus christ anyways I really hope the game is faster as the trailer is making it appear, i'm sick of wading through a molasses swamp and i'm not digging p4u it's also cute how uppity everyone gets over a costume design (yes it's shitty) instead of the character's gameplay lol. pretty much everyone in bb looks generic as fuck
