This 12 step program will help cure you of your addiction. In order to be healed, you must first admit that you have a problem (that you're addicted to fighters).

Oh yeah. Before I post the AC tournament coming up. Should I change the name? Is Air-dasher's Chronicles too corny? I came up with it last time almost on the spot, so now that I have time to think about it, let me know what you think.

Added to the rules that you can't have the same character in the same team. I also put up the results for the last tournament in the first post.

Updated first post with the info for the tournament. Get hyped for Teams! See you guys there. P.S. I'll need somebody to run either the BB Teams or the MBAA singles for me, I don't want to do both at once, that gets exhausting.

Can we get a stereo or something to the tournament to play that every Bang Install? =P

Apparently him and Tager were the best characters in the loke test. We'll see what they do to him next weekend.

Does that mean what I think it means? I think I'll be liking the new jump B. I noticed earlier in the game mechanics section of where you got that from, ZONG_one. It says you can't special cancel after tech rolling anymore. So you can only super after a neutral tech apparently. I was really depending on supering on techs, so maybe I'll have to make sure I neutral everytime instead, if I can even do that now. I used to low into IAD j.2C to go for mixups, now there's barely anything to work with if I want to overhead while keeping them on the ground. I'm curious if they made 3C prorate less. It prorates way too much right now.

Okay, so then AC2 will probably take place on Dec. 19-20th. That seems to be a good date, it takes place after Finals, and it falls on one of our bi-weekly dates.

Do any of you go to Pierce College or Northridge? If so, when are your Finals? I'm looking ahead at something for something. EDIT: Either your Finals or Winter Break.

Screw Rock Band: Beatles, they need to make Rock Band: Daisuke Ishiwatari! Tron, I got your PM. I can't switch the date to Saturday (or Friday), I've got plans on that day myself. As for teams, I'd need to re-arrange some things if we're going to do that. That's why I haven't updated the first post with the info about the next tourney, yet. If we do have a teams tournament, I don't want to leave out a singles. And if we have both, I don't want to leave out Melty Blood (There's someone from Nevada coming to the next tournament or the one after). So, if I did teams I'd need to come up with a good arrangement. In the meantime, I've got a formal lab report and a crazy calculus exam hitting me from school and my boss wanting me to work overtime, so I'm really busy atm. What I'll need to run the next tournament and add teams will be someone to run the MB singles while I host the BB teams. Then we can do Guilty Gear at 5PM along with BB singles. Soniti, and everyone else: There is no fucking way we would not get BlazBlue Continuum Shift! Expect CS here at FFA as soon as it comes out ! Idk if Aksys Games will do the same thing they did with BB:CT (they released it in US roughly the same day, and we got it the exact day it came out), but we'll get it as soon as possible if we have to ship it from overseas. P.S. I might consider seconding Tsubaki. She better have some cool colors, I don't like her default. EDIT: Also, expect a tournament when CS comes out, too. I believe we had a tournament for BB 2 weeks after it came out (god I've run so many BB tournaments already ^_^)

Who are you playing as? I bring my MBAA to FFA for casuals all the time. I might be there tomorrow night, I'll let everyone know if that's the case.

Forserious. When I fight Bang I see a hand coming at me and I think in the process of a split second, "Oh, a normal fist attack, that's no big deal, I'm blocking low. I remember all these other normals from other characters that are overheads, they're all kicks. I'm prepared for this attack, no problem. Wait a second, Bang's overheads are regular fist swipes, oh shit! Quick block high!" and then I miss the block by one frame >.< Fortunately I can block low for one of Bang's other overheads, because Carl is so short it just goes over me

Render avenged you, AGnat! And it is so on for the next GG tournament. I'll rank higher than you this time

In MBAA there are three versions of each character: Crescent Moon, Half Moon, and Full Moon. Crescent Moon is the same as MBAC versions of characters (with some minor balancing tweaks). So the skills from MBAC definitely carry over to MBAA as long as you're playing the Crescent version of that character. But MB in general is a simple game to pick up. The combos are easier in general, but typically harder on timing. I'd recommend getting the game for yourself and practicing at home. It came out in Japan only, so you'll need either a modded or Japanese PS2.

Raptor, your PS2 controller is here behind the counter, come pick it up next time you come here. I think someone took one of my PS3 controllers, idk if it was accidental or on purpose, but I'd like it back, please. Those things are expensive. I always have my PS2 stick for other people to use, only problem is I don't have 2 PS2 sticks for people to use, lol. I'll have to show you what I can do next time, ZONG. I was doing much better during the casuals after the tournament.

Especially Render for breaking Mike Z.'s (What was it, 5?) tournament win streak. Will Seung ever come back from where he left to? It was nice seeing 3 Carl's up there, thanks ZONG for repping Carl. Crazy good matches all around, especially the Bang Bang Mirror (BangC and SDCT), Soniti vs BGarbage, Tron vs Mike Z., AGnat vs Mike Z., and Render vs Diar. Thanks to the two ladies who entered the tournament, Mel and RSheller. I hope to see you again next tournament. Had a surplus of Jin players this time, 4. Usually we only have 2. I had some fun casuals after the tournament, too. GGs Ike Takeda and Bang Camaro. The next tourney will happen 10/11. IDK if it will have teams or not, I've been asked that a few times already. Hope to see you all then! Guilty Gear (AKA Pay for Mike Z.'s BB entry fee): 1st Place: Mike Z. [Potemkin] (Didn't lose one match) 2nd: Diar [baiken] (Lost to Mike Z. 0/2; lost to Mike Z. 0/2) 3rd: Shin ATProof [baiken] (Lost to Mike Z. 0/2; lost to Diar 1/2) 4th: Baddexample [sol] (Lost to ShinAT 0/2; lost to Diar 1/2) 6th: Siaga [A.B.A] (Lost to ShinAT 1/2; lost to Diar 1/2) 6th: Batsu [Order-Sol] (Lost to Mike Z. 1/2; lost to Baddexample 0/2) 8th: Almighty Gnat [Zappa] (Lost to Baddexample 1/2; lost to Siaga 0/2) 8th: Id [Jam] (Lost to Diar 0/2; lost to Batsu 0/2) 12th: Raptor [Chipp/May/Ky] (Lost to Batsu 0/2; lost to AGnat 0/2) 12th: Jason D. Especially the three guys who came together (Diar, Siaga and Batsu). We had a really good turnout for GG, 15 people. We were supposed to use this tournament to find out who had gotten better AGnat, but we both tied for the same place >.< I'll beat you next time, muahaha (strokes evil kitty). I wasn't expecting to get nearly as far as I did, and it ended up holding the wait for the BB tournament to start, lol. Oh yeah, big thanks to AGnat for running the tournament, he did a really good job. GGs Soniti, that was a really close match. I learned a few things when I played you on Friday, and when I watched you play Jam during the tournament. Without those I probably would have lost. We had some exceptional players today, really fierce competition. I hope to see you guys again next tournament. And maybe some new entrants (It's only $1!). Melty Blood: 1st: Xie [F/C Neko & Nech] (8 points) 2nd: Diar [H-Aoko] (6 points) 3rd: Id [C-Ciel] (4 points) 4th: Raptor [F-Sion] (2 points) 5th: Oni [H-Roa/C-Ciel/H-Ryougi] (0 points) We ended up round robining because of the lack of entrants. I'll probably make it a $1 tournament next time to entice more people into entering. I did practice over the last 2 weeks, I swear! Just, not with my main >.<. I'm trying to get used to the PS2 controller (I'm not going to use this as an excuse for losing, but let me say it) and I kept rolling my inputs instead of going to 5 first before switching directions. That kept messing up my combos (and made for some very unopportunistic supers), so I usually ended them quickly with a throw just so I couldn't fuck anything else up. I'll practice more and do better next tournament. GGs everyone, especially Xie. Better luck next time, Oni. We should get together and practice some. H-Roa seems like he has a lot of potential, and that EX Haloish super of his could be really useful. Congrats on the win, Xie. Good to see somebody using Neco & Mech, lol. IDK if they'll end up being as good as your regular C-Mech (which is crazy good), but they seem to have some decent potential. If any of you guys didn't enter all three tournaments, practice for the ones you didn't enter in! MB is a really fun game (don't be intimidated by the higher up players, I sucked up and entered GG and actually did pretty well). It just takes some practice, but all-in-all it's probably the simplest of the three fighters. It focuses more on footsies and game theory. BB and GG rely more on heavy skill of game mechanics (esp. BB).

HDMI might be an option, but I wouldn't count on it. I was hoping for another PS3 in case we get even more people than last time. If the crowd gets upwards of 32 people, 3 stations would be ideal. The options are supposed to be on arcade style anyways, so no extra AHs, no new stages and certainly no Bang Install music. I have a joystick to loan out to anybody playing on a PS3, so if you don't have one all hope is not lost. If you'd still prefer to play only on arcade remind me before/during the tournament (I make little marks next to your names for reference).

HYYYYYYYYPPEE!!! I'll be busy all day practicing and entering/running tournaments. If somebody could bring a backup PS2 for MBAA and a backup PS3 for BB that would be most appreciated. Don't forget to bring your controllers and sticks. If you've got any questions about anything you'll probably have to catch me at the arcade. (for those of you who don't know, I'm the really tall guy with blackish hair and glasses on.) If you aren't entering MB or GG, why not? Get some practice in for the next tourney after.
