FFA BB & MB Bi-Weeklies - (Granada Hills, CA)

Try Sion Eltnam Atlasia, she's got some similarities with Ragna. I think Arcueid Brunestud is similar as well. There's a lot of characters to choose from, especially now that every character has 3 different movesets.

You been calling today? I left my cell at home on accident. If you want to run a GG tournament, talk to me at FFA. I'll be here all day tomorrow, but not much longer today (I'll be leaving around 4:15-4:30).

I think that would be Type A, but it depends on joysticks, too. Different joysticks have different button layouts. The button layout for pad that you just described is the default, but if someone changes it for their stick then you'll need to change it before their match.

You get to choose your button layout before each game, too, btw. This is for the Type A/Type B setup that you don't see in consoles.

Don't thank God. Thank Id! GGs Zac and DAN. I hate Haku-Men. I can't count how many times tonight I got you guys to 10% health only to lose 60-70-80% of my health in one combo and then die. I thionk Haku-Men has been moved up to my 2nd most hated character to play against (1st is Rachel).

The deed is done. I worked on it this morning. I also checked all the buttons and replaced a couple that were acting up.

I'll be up for some MBAA casuals today if anybody can bring their copy in. I might be able to bring it myself, but no guarantees. I'm still getting my version ironed out. EDIT: BB casuals, too, of course. EDIT2: I'm working on replacing that 2P stick on BB before the tourney on Sunday. It looks like we'll swap it with a TvC stick because the TvC machine has the newest sticks in the arcade, and TvC hasn't seen as much wear and tear as most other games. That is, unless we can get a brand new stick by then. Also, any new info on the video footage of 8/16 yet, AGnat?

Riesbyfe (pronounced "Ree-s-bi-f" btw) Is a cool character. She's a knight for the Catholic church who was killed during the fight against Warachia before Metly Blood 1. She was also an accuantance of Sion. I can't read Japanese, so idk much of the storyline for MBAA, but it seems like Sion is a big focus of this one. I'm guessing that both Riesbyfe and Roa are back from the dead because of Warachia's innate power to make random wishes/dreams/nightmares come true. That's why Miyako has the ability of a Qi Gong master because she wanted to protect Shiki, and why Nrvnqsr (pronounced Nero) is still alive, and why Shiki Nanaya exists. I really like the characters and story of Melty Blood. There's 2 visual novels (plus one parallel novel with Shiki Ryougi and Aoko's sister) and a big story mode in Melty Blood 1. The story was pretty limited in Melty Blood Re-ACT and Act Cadenza, though. There's also an encyclopedia-like book that explains a bunch of background story of the Tsukihime/Melty Blood universe. A third visual novel is in the works (with leaked storyline). That static cloud of F-Warachia's is really cool. You use the EX version and then blockstring them for massive damage >.<

Today (Sat) too. Good matches Shin, and thanks for bringing in your PS2 for me. Also, good matches to everyone I played in BB. I'm getting used to the changes on C-Ciel, and I was learning some crazy stuff for F-Ciel. i'm really liking how F-Ciel is turning out. Keep in mind that in tournaments when you win a match you cannot switch characters, however you ARE allowed to switch moon-types. For that reason it's a good idea to learn more than one style per character. I'm not planning on being at the arcade tomorrw, but that doesn't mean I definitely won't show up.

Awesome matches in BB and MBAA last night. I need to get used to a few things with C-Ciel, but I think I've gotten the gist of it. I'd like to practice up on different moon styles with her too. GGs, Grant, Rex, Raptor and everyone else!

Daemon Bride would be sweet, and if we got that we'd hold tournaments for it more than just during AC2. Arcana Heart Full is what we would at least run. Idk how well the PS2 ver. of AH2S runs on a PC. For those of you who don't know, Arcana Heart 2 Sugoi! was a total abortion for PS2, it lags like crazy. The only decent way to play it would be on a high spec'd PC on a PS2 emulator. Obviously the best way to play AH2S would be on an arcade cabinet, but I doubt we'll get it. However, from what I hear Arcade UFO replaced their AH2S machine for Daemon Bride, so maybe they're selling... Would anybody be interested in Sengoku Basara Cross? I know HnK would be pretty popular. I can play Big Bang Beat, but would anybody else be interested? And is there seriously no hype for EFZ or IaMP? =P I've been considering getting into SS5S. I wrote up a mini-guide to it for my move-list notebook. SS6 would be cool too, especially since it's now out on American PS2. (Curse SS Anthology for not adding SS5S!) So what I've got are: BlazBlue Melty Blood Actress Again Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Hokuto no Ken Arcana Heart FULL Twinkle Star Sprites Daemon Bride (If we can get it) Other fighters to consider would be: Immaterial and Missing Power (Screw SWR >.<) Eternal Fighter ZERO -Memorial- Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (*Grumbles*) Sengoku Basara Cross Fate/Unlimited Codes (Is this an air-dasher? I've never played it) Big Bang Beat Let me know if you think of anything else. Keep in mind, the more games we have the more hosts we'd need There's a reason why I'd like to keep a general theme going for this tournament. I don't want to run a tournament for every playable fighting game. I mean, ooh, Vampire Savior would be cool, and so would Last Blade 2, yadda yadda. The way I see it, we could do a "popular" fighter tournament, an "airdasher" tournament, an SNK tournament (which would be cool), a Capcom tournament, a 3D fighters tournament, etc. If we don't group them together we'd be running way too many tournaments at once. It's not EVO >.<

TSS fo sho. MvC2, eh..... maybe... I'll be at FFA for about 13-14 hours. Working for 10 of them. I get off at about 8PM, but no guarantees. I'll be up for BB and MBAA casuals.

I'm considering having another Airdasher's Chronicles in the next few months. If so I'm looking for a good date to run it. Games we'll definitely run would include: BlazBlue Melty Blood Actress Again Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Games I'm considering adding if we could get people to help run them (and play them) would be: Arcana Heart (1 or 2 depending on what we can get) Daemon Bride (If we get the arcade game by then) Immaterial and Missing Power Eternal Fighter Zero -Memorial- Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star) If there's another game you think people would consider playing we could run it too, (probably if you host it). There's a ton of other Airdashers I think probably nobody would play (BBB, SBX, probably some others I'm forgetting).

One PS2 should be enough, I'll be bringing mine. But if complications happen, it wouldn't hurt to have another PS2 and copy.

I'm considering letting the console exclusive characters in on the MBAA tourneys (besides Type Earth) based on the criticism I've been getting about it on the meltybread.com forums. Any MB players who don't post there care to give their two cents about it? There's also an Arcade mode and an Original mode (similar to BB) in the MBAA console version. The biggest argument I've heard for it is that the console version is going to be what the new MBAA arcade version will be. The biggest argument against it (it's posed by me, every post I've seen in the MB forums are for the use of console characters) is that they aren't in arcade yet and that practically every fighting game doesn't allow console exclusive characters or features for tournaments (for games that have an arcade version). Because of the MB community in MeltyBread being so for the use of console characters, I'm swaying towards their side at the moment. EDIT: Confirmed, MBAA casuals this Friday night. Rex (who's a rat-bastard for not signing up for dustloop >.<) will be bringing in his copy for us to play. And from then on I should be able to bring mine in as well. P.S. Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game is now working. I challenge anybody to a match of the best game in the world!

The next tournament will be on 9/13, but I'm making sure that MBAA will go through before I change the first post for it. I'll probably know tomorrow. BB will definitely be going on at 5PM, and if MBAA is going, it will be at 1PM (maybe 2PM?) EDIT: Probable MBAA casuals tomorrow. If I get everything set up I'll definitely set up a TV for it. Bring your own joysticks if you want to use them. I'll have one joystick and two PS2 controllers. Console exclusive characters are cool for casuals (don't be a dick and choose Arceuid Red Moon Type >.<), but for tournament use we'll use arcade characters only.

Main: Carl Alt: Carl Secondary alt: Carl I think you get my point. In most fighting games I play as quite a few different characters, but for some reason I only play Carl for BB. In GGXX I played 8 characters I think (Baiken, Jam, Millia, Axl, I-no, Eddie, Testament, Venom; yeah 8).

Ugh, I've seen quite a few of those. The wires are naked and soldered straight to the switches so if the switches stop working you can't replace them. They hold everything together with scotch tape. It's just a complete mess... I can't believe people sell these sticks like this.
