  1. GGs ShinATProof and Seungpyo in Guilty. GGs to the two random guys I played in Melty (a Nero and a Kohaku player). More of yous guys need to show up. I want to get some variety in my AH3 matches!
  2. KANE was a really good Hsien-Ko. Hopefully I'll be able to beat him next time. fyi, since KANE only attended one tournament so far, he didn't beat the spread of points that you've already accumulated. If he enters one more tournament he'll likely tie or pass you.
  3. I'll be down Thursday for casuals. Getting my AH3 and GG practice on. Who else is up? P.S. If you go on SRK, post on the FFA airdasher matchmaking thread: http://shoryuken.com/f24/ffa-airdashers-thread-bb-gg-mvc3-ah3-etc-ver-2-0-tourney-4-3-a-265290/
  4. Who can make it for casuals on Thursday? I already can't wait to get my Arcana Heart 3 and Guilty Gear on!

  7. We might change JoJos out soon; it just wasn't making any money at all. I'm voting for replacing it w/ Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but it might become a Super Turbo; we'll see.
  8. I'll be down tomorrow night for some GG/BB/AH3/VS/MB/maybe MvC3 action! I've been practicing my Akane for AH3, and I want some competition to face!
  9. I hear that. I've got plans set for when MK9 comes out. We'll probably host tournaments for it every other Sunday, opposite airdasher Sundays.
  10. FFA for now. Japan Arcade probably by the end of Saturday.
  11. I'll be at FFA from roughly 8pm-10pm tonight. Then I'm heading to Japan Arcade for work. We've got MvC3 set up on 4 stations, so come get some action! EDIT: If you're coming down, BRING YOUR STICKS (MvC3 is on X360)!
  12. GGs. It's good to fight more VS players. Also, good games to everyone I played in GG and AH3! I'm going to learn how to play Akane as my secondary. I'll be practicing for the next tournament.
  13. Updated first post for MvC3.
  14. Casuals tonight! I'll bring AH3, and we'll set up VS!
  15. Wow! That's awesome! We can definitely use that for future AH3 and BB tournaments. As for MvC3 recording, I think that StriderZer0 will be taking care of that. He's got a laptop ready for direct feeds with commentary, and other cameras for crowd/player reactions. I'll also look into seeing what we can do about possibly recording GG and VS. They both run off of VGA, so it shouldn't be too hard. EDIT: Shin, where are youuuu? We've missed you for two tournaments in a row now!

Thanks a lot to RoyalFlush who's been helping push the scene along! We should be adding Marvel vs. Capcom 3 to our future line-up; I just have to iron out a few things. It felt good to play BlazBlue again. I'm going to have to start practicing. I want to see more people into Melty Blood! Pick that game up and try it out, people! I'll see you all in two weeks on Fabruary 20th!
  17. Added links to other site's threads on the front page. EDIT: Heading down now. I'll see you guys for casuals!
  18. GG, AH3, MB and VS. Can't wait for tomorrow!
  19. Had some awesome games with Raptor and Seung. My Baiken seems to be getting better!
  20. Not yet. There's some problems with the Taito X2 board we're using.
  21. It's similar, but they've added a new button. A, B, and C are light, medium and heavy attacks. D is the homing button and E is the Arcana button (also used for those blowback edge moves). It's all in the same button setup as Guilty Gear. However, now there's like 23 characters/arcanas. The system mechanics are improved and refined, you can only stock up to 3 supers, homing canceling uses a super, but your meter regains over time to the highest you've gotten it to. Also, Arcana Bursting has its own meter, and now you can burst like in Guilty Gear by pressing C+E but it locks up your Arcana Burst meter. Btw, the ninja-dog girl is Konoha.
  22. Played some VS today against this Marvel player I know. I should be a bit better for next Sunday! Also, Raptor is getting seriously good with Saki in AH3. I need to put in more Arcana practice.
  23. I will be. Bringing AH3 and turning on VS, too!
  24. And we're back! Some of you may remember, some time back in ancient history, that FFA used to run airdasher tournaments. Well, now in 2010 it's time to start back from our 7 month break. Our Bi-weeklies will go just as they used to: - Every other Sunday - Guilty Gear and Melty Blood @ 2PM - BlazBlue @ 5PM. Some minor things will change, but the format will stay. Check out our sister thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9066-FFA-SoCal-arcade-scene-BB-GG-MB-(and-other-airdashers And our ever growing website: http://www.ffa-united.com/ The last tournament was beastly. Thanks to Rotanibor for hosting this tournament. If for some reason we have to do a Round Robin, there are a couple different ways of doing it. Here are the rules you can expect: -In a Round Robin, everyone has a chance to fight everyone. -The number of matches you win will count (So 2-0 is recorded and 2-1 is recorded). That means even if you lost you can still get 1 point. -At the end of the Round Robin, the top two players go to Grand Finals where it runs like Grand Finals from a Double Elimination Bracket (the person with 2nd most points has to win two sets, the person with 1st most points has to win one set). -If there was a tie for 1st place, both players go to grand finals, but with no advantage. This will be only one set (possibly two sets but both players would be even), but 3/5 matches (or higher depending on the game). -If there was a tie for 2nd place, there will be an automatically decided tie-breaker on who gets to go to grand finals (usually it's who won between the two player's matches during the Round Robin). -Round Robins are only done if there is a really small amount of people for a game (like 4, 5 or 6), or it can be incorporated into a Swiss Bracket if there's more than 64 people. Both cases are unlikely. Most Round Robin tournaments are fuzzy on if they do Grand Finals or if they give only 1 point total for all matches put together, so I figured I'd just want to clear that up ahead of time. Side tournaments not listed here are encouraged, just please try and ask me ahead of time. If for some reason I am lax on an update, the next tournament will be 2 Sundays after this one (8/22). If you have questions about rules, comments about how the tournament went, or notice something I missed (like another tournament happening on the same day), please let me know and I'll try and resolve the situation. Hope to see you all Sunday! Note: Skull Girls location test is very likely to take place during these tournaments. We are also working on possibly having a more permanent station for the SG Beta in the future. Keep posted for more details.

Arcana Heart 3 did well. There was no tournament, but there was a lot of people interested. There will be a tournament next time. We will have another tournament on February 6th (2/6/11)!
