    Many many moves, if hit in their later frames, change from unsafe on block to safe. In his circumstance as he was being thrown, I had to dispel his idea that the move is always safe. And the purpose of BB is to be incredibly awesome and incredibly sol. Seriously, using it a bit here and there (or more than that if you have enough chest hair) will force your opponent to look for it in neutral, which takes away some of their mental resources, already a win. Jump over some long range pokes that are giving you trouble! YRC it near the end and do mixups! Feel the glory of two BB in a row if you hit CH! My only wish was that it didn't have proration. Also, it's generally a good idea to remove early 6p's from combos as much as possible, those guys are damage sappers.
  3. What if you reversal backdash? Explosion still catches you after the sniper shot hits or are you too high?

    BR is not safe on block. After br knockdown, can I get in a low air dash mixup jump s before they can get through their prejump frames? Low air dash p?
  5. My ass has that old gg stick that came out 15 years ago, with the taunt button off to the side. (I did drill a new hole for a 6th button.)
  6. Pressing the dead button has never been an issue for me in tournament play.
  7. For marvel 3 I changed my layout to M H S L a1 a2 So that it would be more guilty gear.
  8. Use the standard layout, you will thank me years in the future. Guilty gear has the best layout of any fighting game, because you have one button for each finger in the place than you fingers would most naturally lay.

    I was havin difficulty against venom forwards tech, but I haven't hashed it in training mode. Does it differ after a long combo? What are you guys finding is the right time to bust it out? Non dp characters I figure generally no, but my combos ending in dp I tend to try to use it to get time to do the high lows.

    What do you guys do if the opponent forward techs your otg 2k gunflame yrc setup? Is it actually air throwable? Is that player dépendant?

    At least in previous GG's, this was not actually the case. Throws are 1f, but within the computations for the frame they occur before any attack would. So a frame goes like (movement, Guard, throw, hit, next frame) ect. You could probably test the order using a +0 f move and trying to have the defender throw it and the attack jump. Try the same with a -1. If the throw only hits the -1, its PROBABLY a 1f move. It could also be that the throw frame is checked prior to the movement frame, but I find that unlikely.
  13. Even getting off the ground with ground defense is helpful, but it's nice to know before I use the meter if I am saving a vulnerable frame. Honestly it shouldn't be in the game though.
  14. They were certainly affecting the jump in a way differently than just jumping and fding as fast as possible, as noted by the lack of smoke and inability to move forwards and backwards. Even the jump acceleration I believe was different.
  15. I have a few questions for people who own the game. Are 1f jumps still in, in some form? I know you don't get the verticle non smoke jump, but does it still have the post 1f protection? What happens when both people throw at the same time? I don't seem to get the double H anymore. Is there anywhere I can find the RISC gauge depletion of moves?

    The problems I was having was after the string, the yrc had to be late enough that I IMAGINE they woul still be able to get out of a fafnir, but it's quite possible I was mistaken.

    General questions for a post gunflame frc sol, what am I using to prevent jumping? String into gunflame yrc to try and catch the jump frames? If I don't yrc, is sol at plus after the gunflame (and which strings put him far enough to be plus), and can I prevent the jump after that? After 2s, what is my general mixup, catch the jump with 6H like my man HOS? can I stagger my Standing H to catch the jump? A gunflame to catch the jump frames? I'm hoping the answer isn't just air throw/5k them after they jump, because against characters with good safe air mobility, poop!

  25. She is so much more like bridget than dizzy, I hardly get te dizzy comparison. Bridget is spot on though.
