    [AC] Video Posting Thread

WOW. Maybe I'm just a noob, but a lot of the setups Teresa showed off were really damn cool. And of course, as is with every combo video, tons and tons of meter wasting. Good stuff!

    Post up your arcade stick.

'Sup mort! Actually, I had both a standard 6 button plexiglass panel and a 5 button plexiglass panel ordered. I stupidly forgot to take pictures of the finished stick with the 5 button panel because I was too lazy and the top panel was honestly a pain to continuously remove and replace since the nut underneath the hex head screws holding the panel down were not attached to the case underneath. I actually still have the 5 button panel laying around my house since the person I sold it to didn't want it. Br0ken_Engli5h took pictures of the stick with the 5 button panel after he assembled it, but the pictures he put up on Joystick Vault disappeared. Luckily, I still have them. Here's the stick with the 5 button panel and clearer pictures to show the engraving work: Top panel with proper Guilty Gear 5 button layout: Bottom panel: Better look at the GG Emblem: Engraving around the GG Emblem: Top panel chain border engraving: Side engraving: Other side engraving: Back panel engraving:

Thanks man. I wouldn't say I won the thread though. There's a ton of really great mods in here that I had an absolutely great time looking at. I'm just glad I can contribute something!

I really have no idea why I didn't post this up earlier. I guess it's just slipped my mind every time. So here's a Guilty Gear themed stick I had commissioned a long time ago from Br0ken_Engli5h. Artwork is centered around Sol Badguy. I don't own this anymore, but I figured I should still post up pictures of it since I had them taken. Specs: - Seimitsu LS-32-01 joystick with a red Sanwa mesh pattern balltop - 6x Sanwa OBSN-30 pushbuttons on the top panel - 6x Sanwa OBSN-24 pushbuttons placed around the stick for various things, such as L1/L2, Start/Select/PS, etc. - Paewang Revolution PS3/Xbox 360 PCB - Neutrik NAUSB port installed on the back of the stick to allow for detachable cables. Wiring's not the greatest, but hopefully it looks okay. Top View: Balltop: Left Side Panel: Right Side Panel: Guilty Gear "GG" emblem embedded under the lip of the stick: Bottom Panel featuring the mark of a Gear (mark courtesy of Blade): Wiring (again, not the prettiest thing):

    [AC] Video Discussion Thread

Wow, I didn't realize that this was posted so long ago! I guess I need to get used to posting on vBulletin more. I always seem to miss the first unread posts. The name of the video was something like "[GGXXAC] Sol Combo Movie 'beloved ~桜の彼方へ~'" or something to that extent. The name of the combo video was the same as the song as I linked to in my previous post, which is beloved ~桜の彼方へ~. If you can find it, I'd be much appreciated Katz. :china:
  6. Thanks as always j1n! Can't wait for next episode.
  7. Wow, we got a new episode and I wasn't there for it? Man, that sucks! Going to catch the recording right now.

    [AC] Video Discussion Thread

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but oh well, may as well try. I'm looking for a certain Sol Badguy combo video that was on (I THINK) Hatred Edge's channel that had this as its music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8AUBXrLSwk It got taken down a while back, but I've been looking for it for a while. Anyone still have it laying around somewhere? I'd like to see it once again since it was the combo video that got me into Guilty Gear in the first place.
  9. Hey all. I'm hoping someone can help me with this since while I did follow the setup instructions, I've got one minor problem trying to get my keyboard controls set up. I've recently wanted to experiment with the HitBox style layout for playing fighters on a keyboard, so when I was setting up last night, I was trying to set up to the spacebar, but no matter what I put in (space, vk_SPACE, vk_SPACEBAR, etc.), it would not recognize the spacebar as a key. It would either assign Up to "s" or "v" which were the first letters of the 3 commands I posted in the parenthesis. Anyone got any suggestions?
  10. Well, looks like there wasn't a show tonight either.
  11. Is there an episode tonight? I really do hope so; I'm even willing to miss CrossCounter Live to listen in!
  12. Just wanted to drop in as always and say last night's show was too godlike! I managed to catch the recording on j1n's channel. Alcohol was one of the best guests yet. Thanks for answering my questions as always everyone. I know I ask a lot of them, but I'm really glad you guys are able to let out all this knowledge. Also, thanks for the shoutouts as well, but sorry to say, I'm not making me any moolah when I miss your shows. I just have boring old college classes getting in my way. Gotta get that diploma, right? Keep up the good work everyone! Can't wait for next week's episode.
  13. Sup guys; I hate to double post, but I've got another set of questions I want to ask you guys and your next guest. Hopefully you guys are able to take it. - Obviously, the location tests for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend has been going on and people have been finding out a lot of stuff from these location tests. Something that I've been really wondering for a while about Arc System Works games and other games in that style (what would you call that style anyway?) is how do people figure out the combos they do? Using BlazBlue as an example, even a character who is considered fairly basic to learn, Ragna, has some really strange combos (Dead Spike loops) that make you think "Who would have figured this out?" Taking this to Guilty Gear, there's quite a few characters who seem to me you need to make up a combo on the fly (Faust and Millia come to mind). What kind of process do you guys go through as experienced Guilty Gear players when caught in a situation where you need to improv a combo or want to style with a combo you think works, but haven't tested before? I think I may have worded the question poorly, but I hope the point gets across anyway. - In the most recent podcast with Ky-sama and Sol-bumguy, I noticed Kenji (I think) went on a small tangent about Steve Harrison's MAS Stick (those things are super manly I would like to add) and I know Latif gave shoutouts to his Arcade-in-a-Box stick in another interview he had. I'm a huge arcade stick hardware nerd myself, so I just wanted to ask you guys and your guest a few short questions about your fighting game hardware. 1) What was the first input device you guys played fighting games seriously on? 2) What input device do you all play on most right now? That's all I've got. Stay awesome guys! I can't wait to tune in on Tuesday!
  14. Thanks to both of you guys for answering my question! That's some really good insight.
  15. Hey j1n and everyone else, I wanted to put up my question here in case I couldn't make it live tonight again. I want to know what you guys and your guests, Ky-sama and sol-bumguy, think about tournament organizers participating in their own events. Sometimes I see tournament organizers participating in the events they run and other times I don't. Is there some kind of code of ethics that tournament organizers tend to follow? For instance, is there some unspoken rule where tournament organizers aren't allowed to enter their own tournament if it's for a major or something? Thanks in advance for reading and I can't wait to listen to the show (hopefully live!).
