    What basically happens on delayed 5c -> j.b -> j.2b combos is that the 5c j.b link has to be delayed for the opponents hitbox to retract. Its strange because there aren't many combos like that out there, but for the characters which need the delayed combo, I think tsubaki is an example, i forgot, but the frame that she starts to "'recover" from getting smacked in the face framewise is the point you need to have started the j.b. So it should feel like this- 5b -> 5c -> ... -> j.b -> j.2b

    3c counterhit actually allows you to do CS2 combos like 236a 5d~b 5c stuff, it looks wierd because they hit the ground when you combo, but it may be 6c-able with an RC. Dunno.

    Optimal j.d combo isn't much. The untech time on Ch is still bad. j.d~b gets you land 66 2d~c 9d~5 5d~6 j.c 9d~9 2d~6 236bbbbb, the air BnB. What does that mean?     Are you still playing CS2? There are some things you can learn on CS2 to prepare for the transition to EX, but sorry, I haven't been doing much at all recently. I can't even check right now because I handed my EX disc to my gf. Probably a bad move on my part but whatever. Honestly though, if you're moving from some other character on CS2 to EX Tao, you've got a lot to learn. The basic crouch confirm 6a 5d~6 j.5d~a 6c, and other various things are rough for a non Tao player, personally.

    That was actually tsujikawa's combo as well, and it works on everyone.. I think. Its not possible in CS2 because untech time for almost all the drives and even normals in CSE are increased, but it seems like combos prorate faster as a setback which I think ASW was heading for shorter, more creative combos. They were tired of the "loop" thing lol. I tried doing 6a AA and then jump 236bbing it, it seems to only works if you hit 6a(1hit) still. If you hit both hits of 6a, the go high, and you can still hit the 236bb, but after the j.5d~a or j.2d~b you're not close enough to the ground to do the recovery-cancel 6c. Honestly, just doing 6a(1hit) j.2b j.5d~a is WAY easier to confirm and prorates better. I dunno how tsuji did 6a(2hit) into a 6c combo honestly o__0 i'd have to see that myself (as anti air i mean)

    It just depends on height. On the ground you can do 6a(2hit) -> 7236b -> j.2d~b -> land -> j.bb -> j.5d~a -> 6c (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARaxWvBnaBU#t=01m15s), if its an AA hit, then you probably go for 2-3 j.7236bb-bbb hits to get the right height. There's A LOT of untech time for that, and its honestly better than 6a 2d-ish BnB because of the corner carry. I can definitely play around with it though and let you know some things about it. Oh, and 6a(1hit) 5d BnB into 6c would more than often not work on an AA hit because of the height. That's probably why he did it, 6c combos are more than often optimal, even though they're harder than your traditional air BnB.

  15. Seems like I should use less 5c mid-blockstring because it keeps whiffing for some reason. Besides the short range, 3c sounds like a godlike idea, i'll keep my mind on that. And yes, I'm going to have to really drill j.214b enders into my head, because I use j.214a too much. I NEED that force neutral tech because these idiots are like rolly-pollies and keep getting out of the corner for free when I could have easily prevented that. I REALLY want to get better... My PSR with Tao is already 400+ and my win % is 80, but with relius its like.... 24 psr after about 20 games.. with like 30% win. :[ its frustrating losing to REALLY bad players :/
  16. ^ lol I'm uploading two vids, one where it went okay, and one where it just went terribly. And you give me pointers on these matches. Remember, this is like day 3 relius, the one that went terribly made me really want to find out how the hell this character works, because i couldn't think of any options Relius had on the spot. and Mu was just mashing the shit out of 5c/2c/6d, and EVERY single 214a/214b failed.   17. Oh yeah, 236a 6d/2d is a pretty good setup... i have to use that more against mashy tagers. So you're saying its not about his mixup, but more pressure and frame traps? Because that sucks if his only overhead is the stupid 6a, or the stupid litchi-style "instant" j.c RC j.b 5a etc.. because I need to make them scared to block high to at least GET these low options, 3c had pretty good options, 6d midscreen and 236c at corner. I'm not going to worry about his oki until i can hit them INTO the combo in the FIRST place lol
  18. I would love to know what your typical blockstring is. Because that's my problem. I've actually been using 214a and 214b (Even though i get CH'd out of it like every time lol) My blockstring is 5b 6d 66 5d 6d... into like a 6a or something. I can't see what kinda mixup you CAN do, maybe i haven't seen enough match videos, but I'm having a VERY hard time opening up players, especially because everyone just mashes 2a like a scrub and hits me out whenever i try to throw or overhead. I mean there's GOT to be some sort of CH frame trap that I can combo off of right?
  19. I need help BADLY with Relius's neutral game. I mean, his combos are fun and easy enough to pick up in training mode, but the range of his normals, how he optimally uses ignis midscreen to get in, and correct movement is a awkward as hell to me :[ What do you do to get in? First of all, coming from a Tao players perspective my neutral game might be skewed, but i need to learn anyways. And also, I'm getting beat up by 0% and 3% win percent people with Relius. THATS how bad it is =w=

  21. How did the last NCI go? I mean technically we aren't adding games, we're just replacing CSII with Extend, and since I didn't go to the last NCI I can't gauge how that worked out. Was it bad?

    The loop works on Relius fine. Makoto and Ragna are pretty much impossible. The ones you did with the delayed timing, the exact combo CAN be done in EX, but it was so freakin hard, that with the damage output comparatively, it didn't seem worth it. For non delay characters, it could be more usefull since its decent corner push and ACTUAL oki.
  23. Nice Myung! I would personally hold onto the BB copies though, especially since its in pretty high demand and there aren't that many around the bay, you can set it on the machines and work magic until late January/February I'm guessing :3 But that's just me :P Its the 7th

    You're right, often times they'll fall through. But its more matchup/height specific than timing, you always have to hit 6c right before you land it seeems. CA is mostly worse because of the terrible speed nerf, but yeah the hitbox is retarded too. I've already done it once, when carl was in my face, and I CA and he just kept goin in on me like nothing happened LOL

    6c startup is way faster in EX, thats why its so difficult to do it on CS2. You're talking about the AB2 combo right?
