  2. It is not as easy as you're making it for the opponent to shut Carl down as you're making it out to be. You can afford to have Nirvana get hit because she is a good punching bad due to the amount of damage she can take. CS2 Carl has some very nice things and some great buffs. But most of the problems you mentioned that CS1 Carl has still applies to CS2 Carl. CS2 Carl might actually be better due to his stupid unblockable stuff (dispite Nirvana's defense nerf), but you're dismissing CS1 Carl like he was B-tier or something.

For instance in CS1 you could look at Carl in one of two ways: His mixups were too good for the amount of damage he could deal OR his damage was too high for the amount of mixups he had. Also he and Nirvana could control space well together. People run away from Carl because the risk is so high for them if the Carl player knows what he's doing. You can't bull rush Carl without worrying about whether a 4D, 623D, or 8D is coming your way. Its just as much of a guess for the opponent as it is for us. And don't get me started on Carl's CS1 j.B. LITERALLY THE BEST FATAL COUNTER MOVE IN THE GAME!!!! *sigh* I'm gonna miss that little rascal.

  5. Looking good. To save even more meter with nirvana you can actually deactivate her before doing the last 8D.
  6. I don't know how well you're use to carl but you need to be able to wrap your head around controlling nirvana while you're moving and attacking. First learn basic ground sandwich loops.   7. If anything I though Carl's problem was that the hit stun on his moves got reduced.
  8. I'm just as lost as you. I'm not surprised no one has found this yet. Rarely if ever does anyone have one primer left when Carl puts them in an unblockable setup. Plus that unblockable is obsolete when compared to the new one. Not only that, if you look at that video the 2D hit first and then the 6B. When you do that setup you usually want the opposite to happen so you can get more damage. Which is possibly why no one has found it yet. That or it could be a PSP thing.

  11. From what I've seen Carl can get 4.5k in the corner. And break 5K with meter. Mid-screen, Carl can get 3K with his bounce loop combos.

  13. Yeah you can't create a character like Carl and at the same time expect him to turnout like how you planned. On another note, Carl players are definitely turning to Rhapsody of Memories as a reversal super to people off of him.
  14. No it looks like the Litchi player lucked out. This shows that there is room for error on Carl's part.
  15. I've been saying that a lot as well. Just not as a joke. This setup has made Carl pretty one-dimensional, not as much as CT but darn close. Although I didn't consider Rachel as a possible escapee, I did consider Hakumen's counters as a threat. But don't forget about Tager. His backdash actually outlasts Nirvana's 3D. Also if he doesn't backdash he can reversal 720 and Carl will just fall right into it considering its invincibility. On another note. Although j.B Fatal Counter is gone I noticed that j.B Counter-hit seems to be air-untechable.
  16. Personally I think its legit. Its a bit more awkward to do than it will be in CS2 I believe, plus unfortunately you have to use j.A which will prorate combo. I still think its worth it though.

    To be honest I don't think he has any Carl Specific OS. Just the BB general option selects (throwbreak/barrier, throwbreak/burst) I jokingly consider Carl's kara-airdash an OS because I often either get the low mix-up or get an airthrow. lol
